It's a pain if you don't have friends or alt accounts. I have been trying to get the catch for almost 10 days and I have only 12 golden koi and 18 rusty koi.

BTW, this is for the default raiden build. If you are running hyperbloom or aggravate raiden, then just build full em.

@@kirin1230 Raiden applies electro more than 50% faster than Kuki. If you have enough dendro and hydro application she is up to 50% more hyperbloom damage

ATK% Goblet can also work well and sometimes even better than electro dmg bonus goblet.
with catch/engulfing lightning+attack/er sands, dmg% goblet is usually better, but is always better if paired with an atk buffer
I usually heard that it's best to use atk goblet for people who use the catch
That is dependent on your build.
If you use ER sands, you can opt for Attack% goblet considering you have close to 300% ER.
If you run Attack % sands there is no need for Attack % goblet.
Engulfing lightning really don’t need Attack % goblet.
If you are able to maintain the required stats, Attack goblet will never be better than Damage%.

My F2p DPS Raiden with R1 engulfing talent: 10-10-10 Crit stats: 52cr/191cd Artifact- 4p emblem of fates. Highest Damage without any food buffs with my Raiden shogun is 400k with food buffs it's 850k- 900k

Many are unfortunately wrong in the comments and in your suggestion.
Only with EL you want to get the 255 ER (that's actually already a bit too much, but it's still ok), with any other weapon, no matter what stat it has, you don't want to cross 200-220 ER since at that point you already get diminishes returns from it. Which also means atk sands are generally better with an ER weapon and ER sands with an high atk weapon.

@@Enigma427 diminishing returns happen, when you overstack one stat
lets start with a simple math example
you have 2 * 2 * 2
Each "2" is a multiplicator, now you artefacts allow you to get 3 substats
If you add all 3 to one multiplicator, this will happen:
2 * 2 * 5 = 20
But if you add 1 to each (balanced distribution)
you get 3 * 3 * 3 = 27
Diminishing returns basically mean, that the statistic you raise starts giving you less gains the more you stack it.
In genshin you have 4 multiplicators (5 with EM, but that is irrelevant for raiden)
total atk * skill multiplyer * crit value * total dmg bonus (and your weapon and artefacts influence 3 of these).
ER on raiden adds to "DMG bonus", if you add the catch passive + electro goblet you get so much DMG bonus, that it's crazy, but each roll on artefacts to ER could have gone to atk or crit, which are 2 different multiplicators - this is what you can see with the example of "2 * 2 * 2" - her signature weapon gives you some "atk" for ER, so it lessens the diminished returns, hence why you can stack a bit more. But if you have the choice between crit and ER, then Crit has more value for her after you reach her recommended ER of 200-220.
@@Enigma427 also, if you reach the 220 ER, then you wanna go atk sand and goblet can be either atk or electro dmg - there is almost no difference, so whatever has the better substats, that's your pick.

EL and Catch should run ER/ATK/Crit. Use Electro % if using a weapon w/o an ER sub, good options for an ER/Electro/Crit build could be: Deathmatch, Homa, PJWS. For EL specifically, lots of ER (close to 300%) is still favored since it converts that ER to tons of ATK and Electro %.
Why would you use er% sands with the catch? She doesn't need more than 220% er without her weapon, besides the catch's passive doesn't have anything to do with er%
As for the goblet, atk% is only an option if you don't use a buffer (which is really unusual because she's paired with Bennett or Sara in almost all her teams), electro is better in general

actually with Engulfing you can go electro dmg on goblet, cause engulfing buffs atk when bursting
It's worth noting that, if you are able to give her Engulfing Lightning, it gives her an extra 30% ER when performing an ult, so you can go a bit easy on ER if you want.

I know The Catch is very good for her. But you know, I kinda like Engulfing Lightning. The aesthetic mannn, my Raiden Shogun looks kinda HOT with it

Somewhat wrong, 150/50 CD/CR is what you would most likely get because of stat distribution but in-fact 125/62.5 CD/CR is the same amount of total crit value, but offers slightly more damage.
I'm new to genshin started 2 weeks ago and started to pull for Raiden I lost my 50/50 to qiqi but I'm back up to 50 pity and I got 6 days left so hopefully I can get her I'm also a f2p player

If you already have 250ER, You're hitting about 120 electro damage bonus which is a little too high. I would go attack% goblet with ER Sands

Im glad i kinda enjoy fishing. Getting r5 catch isnt much of a chore for me.
I am using a favonius lance on Raiden, and it works really good on her. I tried using 4pc emblem but i needed to put an off set electro goblet (gladiator) with at least 40 crit value as substats.. As a f2p, im trying my best.
For sure shes my favorite!
I pulled her with engulfing so cheap , just 3x10 wishes , i got her in one pull , and weap banner i lost rate at first one but after that i got a gold again and engulfing is coming
I got her recently and lvld her up to 90 gave her crt dmg & crt rate on artifacts and gave her skyrider spear from Mona banner her atk talent lv 5 elemental skill lv 2 and elemental burst
Even if I actually got any of these artifact whit those affectes, they would be like everything defense and hp

Raiden is objectively better for overall use: great damage even at c0 and broken on c2/3, generating energy for the whole team, buffing bursts for the whole team. At the same time hu Tao almost gives nothing to the team except big personal damage and crit rate
But you should pull those who you like more

If you don’t wanna sell your soul for either weapon and got a very disappointing standard 5 star weapon polearm it works for her too with an energy recharge stat and crit rate boost (although a very small one)
Absolutely agreed, except one thing. U HAVE to put in ER sands and should run atk% on goblet then. Electro dmg bonus gets scaled with the ER, so u rather go for the overall scale on atk% on goblet.

The deathmatch is a really great weapon on her as the def boost can def keep ypu alive through your burst as your knockback resistance can grt you killed fast and at r5 is right under the jade spear in atk like seriously 5 atk when the jade spear has no stacks.

Catch work good but engulfing works significantly better then the catch and also primordial jade wing spear at R1 also does more dmg but you have to play a lil different and skyward spine also work good if you want the catch on xiangling
Gonna put this out here. From testing with friends and all. Electro goblet is not worth on baal. Her er is converted to electro and caps at like 270%. So it's much more beneficial to have atk% goblet, me and my friends all noticed huge dmg buffa after using atk%! Not that you can't build whatever you want tho.
She's one of the very important characters in your account, I got her after spending more than 90 wishes but she's worth it, my stats are 51/145 crit and 1795 atk plus 265% ER
For short, you need atk, crit, critdmage, energy recharge main/sub on her. Below 200 energy recharge goes for electro%, around 250 and up use atk%

Ok, with Engulfing , you need to run ER/ATK% , since 250% ER will converted to Electro Damage and Atk% using engulfing. so Atk%/Electro% isn't worth it. 50/120 is optimal, 2.2k atk wjth 270% er is alr stable dps for Raiden.
Note that a Min-Max Raiden should be around 50/180, 2.2k atk. 270% ER.
60/120 is the optimal
I have catch r5, I kept electro goblet first but atk comes down to 1.3k , so I kept atk% goblet. I was wondering if that's ok since her passive can already gain some Electro bonus

To get max damage output from engulfing and the emblem set you need 286% er

Nah fug that, put the inazuma craftable weapon on her, use the hyperbloom artifact from the desert, stack as much EM as possible, max out her elemental skill, pair her with any dendro unit (Preferably Nahida for best results), do consistent 30K aggravate and 90K hyperbloom every other second.

Ever since I lost the 50/50 this banner to jean after grinding out 60 wishes during the time raiden is out, I've non stop been getting raiden videos and it makes me really sad as I spent 40+ hours grinding out all the wishes. 😭
I have her melee attacks at lv 6 and the others at 8, and tbh it works for me.

I hit about 264k with my half build mona lol, with only 4 piece viridecent sucrose, Bennett, and mona with widsith and 2 piece noblesse, 2 piece emblem, so should be even higher when I get 4 piece emblem
I did 228k childe nuke on Abyss 7, but If i try again (new build and mona) the dmg might be higher
I hit 570K with my hu tao. she has r1 dragon’s bane, and crimson artifacts. I did it against raiden with rosaria, bennett and sucrose
