In this video I share with you the recording of my first performance after a break and also a few thoughts on it...

A video about your experience with your injury and the process of maintaining your health during that time and getting back into ballet would be not only fascinating but educational for a lot of ballet dancers. We don't talk about our injury experiences enough!
Maria was wearing sunglasses after her injury. It’s very possible that she doesn’t want to disclose the specific nature of what happened because in ballet it may involve a partner? This of course would lead to the next question … “who was your partner when you were injured?” Time will pass and any pain and guilt will be replaced by success. Maybe then she will feel more comfortable discussing the specific nature of what kept her away from the stage?
@@theonenessoftime330 I’m already speculating as it is.
Yes I would like to see a video about your injury, the process and all things/ all aspects of your healing process, Maria.
I’m so glad that you’re back! However I have to share that I’m disturbed that the Mariinsky is still performing this piece by Ratmansky after they refuse to acknowledge him on the Mariinsky website or in the program. It’s like it’s a ghost choreographer! But we all know the brilliant artist who made this work for NYCB. I wish you well in your career, stay healthy and strong!
your performance was stunning and i think i speak for all of us when i say it's so good to see you dancing again!! injuries are a difficult thing to go though both physically and mentally and im so glad you've recovered. you are such an inspiration, truly 💞
Oh, wow, how lovely! I did feel like your performance was suffused with a deep joy and a different depth of emotion than we've seen before - it was just gorgeous. I'm so sorry that you had to experience so much pain and frustration to get to this point. From what you've shared, however, it does seem to have left you with new perspective on your art - perhaps that has been a gift after all.... My very best wishes for you that you continue to be injury free and stronger than ever.
A beautiful performance.
As a disabled person who can barely walk to the end of the driveway without being in some kind of pain, I’m SO happy you are able to go back on stage, and look at everything in a new light, and have an even deeper appreciation for your art!!! I know how hard it is to be frustrated at your body for not being able to do something “normal” or even normal to you, and when your body fails you, it can be scary. Hopefully you never have to go through anything like that ever again! The dance was ✨gorgeous✨ and you are ✨stunning✨
I love this kind of video. I love watching the performance first, and hearing your thoughts and comments later. We're really lucky to have you, and see you dance, while also having insight about your experience 💛
I would definitely love if you added a personal commentary to the performance videos. I have a lot of respect for you because of your genuinity.
Thank you Maria for being so authentically you in your videos. You have so much depth and soul. Thank you for being you.
I would personally love to see a video about your injury journey. I am going through an injury right now and struggling to accept that I cannot dance for now and some time. So when you are ready that would be very helpful to hear your story 💕
Мария, спасибо Вам большое, что дарите нам такую красоту! Здоровья Вам!
Choreographer & other dancers?
Very touching performance! 👏🏼🎉
sometimes with Ballet I find myself just watching the feet, but with you and your performances I find myself absolutely engrossed with every part of your dancing, your face, your arms, your feet, your entire being is the performance and dance. Welcome back!
I would absolutely love a video about your experience
Please share about your healing process and i love when you comment about the dance videos! So happy for you!!
So happy that you are back dancing !!
Adorable, Maria. Truly adorable. And your outfit today is all a statement. I left ballet in 2019, due to a spine injury, since then i've been dancing just for recreation. Now i'm stuck in a strange hip injury and i know ballet is not in the cards for me anymore -even for fun-. We never know how much we can miss stage -even if it's not Mariinsky-, till we can't do it anymore. Good luck, my girl.
What a lovely partnership between Maria and Konstantin. Among all the joys were the super-expressive hands . . .
Congratulations on your comeback! I wish you all the health and balance in the new stage of your career! 🔥☺️
Stunning what beauty,form and grace
Maria, I wrote you few months ago...you are the best Flore, awakening in the garden!, but now in this video you are an amazing dancer, brava, indestructible woman, you are floating as a spring flower, you are standing in glory, like a fairy dancing lovely in our hearts, THANKS a lot.🥰🥰🥰🌺🌹🌷♥♥♥
Maria, I found out that injuries are teachers for us. They test our patience and also our focus and revaluation of our life. You go on an emotional roller coaster from frustration to become comfortable in the stillness. Being able to go back to stage and do what you love the most is the most wonderful feeling. I felt grateful to my body for allowed me to learn and love what I have now in my life.
welcome back! I am truly happy for you! Interesting would be to know what you learned from the injury, what you would be doing differently in the future to avoid such thing happening again.
goose-bumps all over watching this
Welcome back Maria!! I love all your videos. God Bless You and your family always!!
Thank you for posting your beautiful performance of Ratmansky's great ballet. Best of luck for continued success and complete healing.
Your dancing and acting skills have improved after your injury. I could see your emotions through your movements.
This was incredible & beautiful to watch! I don’t know a lot about ballet but recently have acquired a deep appreciation for this art. The music along with the fluid motion of dancing feels almost like floating in space. I’m floored by all of the discipline and life long dedication it takes to do what you can do. It really inspires and motivates me in my own life and art. So yeah, keep making content. Your videos have a fun & approachable personality. Thanks for sharing these moments. I can tell how much it means to you and I’m happy you’re able to get back on stage and perform! Take care!
Wow, I am tearing up too, watching this, just feeling your emotions about getting back on stage. You are such a beautiful dancer and so lucky to have a body that wants to do what you want it to do (most of the time, anyway :) ). I would love to see the video you talked about making regarding your healing process. As to seeing videos and hearing commentary, I want to see just the video with no commentary, and then I'd love to see and hear you discuss it afterward. This video was so nice to watch. Thank you.
I've just learned this Shostakovich piece on the piano. How wonderful to see this lovely ballet interpretation of such a beautiful piece.
Sorry to hear about your painful ordeal... Happy to hear that everything's fine. God bless you...
I loved this video. I’ve been watching for several months and had no idea that you were injured. I’m very sorry to hear that!
I enjoy the commentary very much! I find your input extremely interesting!
Stay well and thank you for these wonderful videos!
Oh my goodness, how beautiful!
We are also so so happy to see you back!! We look forward to all the new dance videos of you we will see!!
I love to follow your videos. There is no end to the depth of you, as an artist, a dancer and a human being. You are lovely.
loved your earrings❤
So sooo happy for you !!! 🥳🥳 When you are ready I would really like to see your journey with an injury cause I think that many people like me need to see what is like and how to try to be patient and not giving up. Love you !!! Hope one day I'll be to see your performances live and not only via RUclips ❤️❤️❤️❤️
*able
Oh Maria, such an honor watch this, a huge pleasure, thanks for sharing this moment with us! ❤️ I wish all the love, and health, and balance, and success for this new chapter of your life. Maybe one day we could see you teaching online and spreading this passion about dance even more. Welcome back, beautiful! ✨
So glad you recovered well dear Maria 🥰💖🌷absolutely beautiful performance got tears in my eyes ,so beautiful 😅☺️🩰and yes we must be grateful for every moment that is given to us 💗 it would be great to see a video about your recovery , I wish you a great day 🌅🌻thank you for being such a great inspiration 💖
You look incredible and congratulations on being fit and well ❤❤
Gorgeous 😍😍😍 To come back with this! Wendy Whelan and Tyler Angle have some of the trickiest partnering steps. Brava!
Thank you... for letting us into your soul for a moment. Injury, and return from injury... can be as crushing, testing, and enlightening. One has an opportunity to come back stronger and with an appreciation that we did not know until then. From experience, it was the worst... and the best. Onward Ms Khoreva.
I loved every minute of this performance, the music is so moving. Very happy you are back and performing beautifully again!💓💓💓
So happy you’re fit and well again. As a dancer it’s the worst thing being injured as your body is your tool. Look after yourself and be happy. X
I love when you comment. It helps feel part of each journey in performances xxx
When you dance your soul is so visible...and it is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing yourself with us. I love watching you dance. Xo
Coming from one professional to another, that was absolutely exquisite! To answer your question, I would love to see you critiquing your own videos while they’re playing. However, the ones you are particularly emotional about, like this one, I loved how you spoke about your feelings and experience afterwards. Congratulations on your beautiful return to stage!! ❤
Congratulations to you on your comeback. You are a beautiful dancer and person inside and out. I love your videos 😎❤️😎
Congratulations! What a beautiful return to the stage. Best wishes moving forward!
I'm so sorry you were seriously injured. You were so strong and flexible before the injury. I see you are still experiencing pain and I hope you can work through it. Serious injury can be life-altering. I hope you can continue to practice your art. You have great drive and focus, and expect the grieving process for the pain and injury to continue for a while longer.
Yes, I would love to see videos of your injury and recovery process. It will help your viewers to understand the trials in your personal life and also continue to provide revenue for you, even as it limits the roles you are able to play. Keep fighting! Let's see the light come back into your eyes!
Im so happy you are dancing again. I cant even imagine the fright you must feel at times.
I am not gonna lie, a tear fell from my eye as soon as you did your 1st pirouette (i think that is correct move).
Also, I would like to compliment your look.
You look absolutely stunning!
And last the Mariinsky is nothing but perfection.
Dear Masha! You danced beautifully! In the last time, you have been a deep source of inspiration and motivation for me.
Yesterday, I attended one social occasion, which was opened by two rounds of performances by ballroom dancers from one of the dance school in my city. And as I watched, it deepely struck me when I realised how lucky I am to dance ballet. I have big respect for the dancers who performed as well as dancers of all other dance styles, but I have understood that ballet simply has such depth to it that no other dance style has. It is so deeply expresive, we perform to the most beautiful music and can give our audience so much more than just an esthetical experience - we tell stories, some with a very clear meaning, some from which everybody can take something different, for everybody's perception of what happenes in stage is different. I understood why I actually love ballet, it is because it speeks to the soul.
I wish much luck with returning back to a full on professional life. God bless you!
Firstly, so pleased you are back after your injury. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for you. Secondly, how beautiful that performance, Maria. The way you moved with that beautiful music was breathtaking. Your body became the music.
Love you so much and for your sharing. Grateful for whatever you share and in whatever format works best for you. So happy for you for a positive experience and so sad you had the injury.
Your magic is back as you embody the difficult choreography with a lovely stage presence and great artistry. Compliments to all of the dancers.
💖❤💖❤💖❤
dear maria, thank you so much for sharing your minds and your emotions with us ❤
My dear, I have been following you just for the last month but I'm in love with your power, your force, your grace. And I was really touched watching this video understanding the passion and pain behind it. I would appreciate to understand better your injury and follow you in your recovery. This video requires no words, but normally I like your comments. Congrats, this is a great win
that is so inspiring Masha you are a beautiful dancer and you always will be!❤❤
This was so sweet and beautiful. Your joy was evident. There was only smooth effortless expression. To watch, one would not have known you were injured, though your dancing has changed, matured perhaps? An expression of passion and soul that shone through. 💜
Thank you for sharing. This was such a pleasure to witness and hold that space with you.
What a BEAUTIFUL piece of choreography - and you danced it so beautifully. Thank you for sharing!
Oh my god girl. Those earrings
You are an exquisite dancer! I just recently found your channel. This performance made me cry. I feel the emotion of the character when watching. Just stunning. Not being able to dance must have been so traumatic for you. To have that beautiful gift and have it taken away even for a little while had to be heart wrenching. I thank God that you are able to dance again. Your level of talent is something every dancer strives for. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
Beautiful, my favourite music and very interesting to see another choreography to this. I understand how you must feel. I myself was injured when a young dancer but in those days 30 years ago there was not the understanding and care there is now so I never came back and it was heart breaking and took many years to get over, so I understand how grateful you feel to be able to move and express yourself again. Many blessings for your future
Hi Maria, so happy to see you back on stage. Injury, like many difficulties in life, is very hard when you are going through it. But once get over, that experience is very valuable as it deepens the understanding in life and improve artistry.
You are such a beautiful dancer!!! I am going through the biggest injury of my career and it's nice to be able to relate to someone going through the same thing. It's so hard when dance is your life, your happiness and it is taken away from you. I understand everything you explained and am so happy for you to be healed and back sharing your love, work and gift to the world. I hope to be back on the stage soon too. ❤
Dear Maria, in your beautiful performance I'm feeling pure purity 🕊... Thank you for sharing this. I wish you lots of health, strong, inspiration and blessing to your journey. 🌹
Your father must be the happiest and the proudest man in the world
Просто потрясающе! Большое спасибо, что поделились
Поздравляю!
Чудесное выступление!✨
Thank you for sharing your experience and your feelings about being able to dance again. So happy for you!
Wow!!! First, beautiful performance! Second, I can fell the depth of your emotions, the joy, the gratitude, the courage, the emotional growth, just through your performance. And your words emphasised what I watched in the dance. I return, I give you my gratitude for sharing this!
I love watching you dance and listening to your commentary. (I live near Saratoga, NY, where the NYC Ballet has summer performances, and I enjoy the workshop with the dancers before the performance offering their stories about creating a performance, which to me, is more satisfying and is helpful to understand the depth of the performance.)
I think that as painful as your injury must have been to your body and soul, you have emerged stronger, and your dancing has a depth that I cannot describe.
Thankful you are back on stage and a big thank you for sharing this! ❤
(Also, when you are ready, the story of your past 8 months would be fascinating to hear!)
Yes- please tell us more about your injury and your comeback!
Maria 😘😘😘❤❤❤
Gorgeous!! Your performance looked effortless when I know that it wasn’t!
Congratulations,Maria !👏👏👏🤗❤💖🤩🙏
Maria, that performance was nothing short of artistry personified. Thank you for sharing.
i'm so happy for you maria! it was so beautiful. wishing good health and healing in the future 💕
The best news ever! What a relief this must be for you. Congratularions on a stellar performance. BTW at the moment we have 43 lily bushes (like the one at the beginning of your video) in burgundy and white growing in our garden. Wish I could have sent you some. Best wishes from Patagonia, Chile.
wonderful riveting performance.
also very appropriate liberation commemoration for a comeback.
Thank you for sharing your heart and soul in this video❤️. I just returned to a company and began rehearsals on Jan 28th!!!! So, your video was perfectly timed. I understand that feeling of gratitude and happiness you are experiencing. Your words opened my heart and helped me celebrate my own recovery. Please share more. So much gratitude for you and your work. ❤❤❤
Мария, очень красивое выступление! Музыка прекрасная. Все это очень вдохновляет и твоя жизнь проходит не зря! 😇👍
Congratulations on being back on stage. I could feel the emotion in this piece. I loved that you let us enjoy the performance uninterrupted. I think I’d like to see both uninterrupted performances and commentary on them. Maybe with shorter performance you could show it first in full, then break it down with commentary afterwards.
What can one say about a video where you show us your heart. It is funny that God places us in difficult times only to find out that He has given us a gift. There is a new depth in your dancing in this video - a freedom from technique that launched your soul. May this next phase of your career bring out more artistry. Thank you for sharing this journey with all of us.
what a beautiful clothe and what a wonderful performance
That was So BEAUTIFUL 🌹🌹🌹 Maria Khoreva, in this video, Your Dancing truly communicated the Joy which you were feeling.💐
I'd like the performances to be uninterrupted unless there were natural breaks, like between scenes or acts. Some intro and then commentary afterwards. Thanks so much Masha you are fantastic! Some happy for you that you're able to work again.
Танец прекрасен! Спасибо большое!
Beautiful ballet, Maria, and so glad you are back on the stage.💐 Thanking God for your beautiful and grateful heart and for all He has done to grant your desire to dance.🩷 Praying for you to strengthen and regain your stamina, and have great health in the days to come. Love watching you dance and the videos you share with us. Blessings 🩰
My injuries were career ending... I'm so, so happy for you 🤗 You are made of light and sparkle, your dancing is such a treat 😊💜
I'm so happy for you and for all of us that you are back dancing! It seems to me that when you were on stage I could see your feelings more than before. So very nice to see. I would love to hear about your injury and recovery very much and as for dance videos... If it is allowed I love the rehearsal videos the most x
Thank you Maria, you are so beautiful in so many ways. I enjoyed your story and your performance. Wish you all the best.
I’m so happy for you! What a beautiful lesson to take away from a negative experience.
I think a video talking about how you took care of yourself during your recovery would be very interesting and educational, I’ve dealt with injuries when I was a young dancer and didn’t have the knowledge to care for my body properly, I still have some pains and aches from old injuries that I think could have been prevented with a proper recovery. All the love to you ❤
What an inspiration you are Maria. And what a beautifully expressive dance, so soft and light, to that wonderful Shostakovich piece. I had tears in my eyes watching you. Personally, I would love to see your dances 'clean' without a 'reaction' per se, but with a commentary from yourself afterwards (possibly with little clips highlighting the points you are making) ❤
I have so many thoughts and memories when experiencing your vids! This one is ("was" : January 2023) more special for the reasons you say. I love your tunic/blouse; the fabric and color and wow! I also wish you continued success after injury and recovery. For many passions injuries are TOO much for mortals to bear! And such an important and wide ranging topic. Thank you for this Shostakovich! I also like to imagine the thoughts of the choreographers. And the supported dancing is very lovely here! Wish you athlete's health and guardian spirits!
Would love to see a video on your recovery. This was beautiful to see your performance. Gorgeous
Bless you Maria! Going through a terrible injury and being able to come back so well is a sign of a true professional! If you can, please do the video of your recovery experiences. It would be helpful for ballet students to know what a dancer must do to keep dancing!
True art is when expression extends beyond the stage and sets in a lasting impression - for me that's pure brilliance. . .spa-c-ba for sharing. . .
Dear Maria, I‘m so happy for you 💚 hopefully you can savor every moment in your upcoming performances.
The format of today‘s video was perfect, in my opinion: with the pure video-bit in the beginning, I was able to enjoy the music and your dance without any preconceptions and have your commentary as a bonus in the end to shine a light on what you were doing. Loved it :)
