Thanks for making this video and posting this. I learned quite a few things here I didn’t know and will now apply.
Something I wanted to add, near the end when you talked about catapults and stone gatehouses in particular, is that if you have them intentionally target a gatehouse, after it gets to zero percent and the towers collapse, they won’t actually stop firing or untarget the gatehouse. If you leave those artillery units alone they will next target the gate itself and destroy it.

Thank you for the extra tips. I had trouble figuring out the gate vs catapult stuff.

The Auto-Resolve explanation is perfect. I always suspected that the Auto-resolve meter was no indication of battle success. Thank you for this.

Thanks for this video, you got a new sub! Regarding peasants: I have a house rule that town guards/militia are for city garrisons, and the military for fighting battles and relieving sieges. Peasants I only use for moving population. To increase one city, or to reduce squalor in their home city. I love the Remaster, but the population changes is the one I don’t use. Other than that the Remaster really is better than the OG. Even the UI changes, which gets a lot of grief from OG players, has great features like merging and rearranging your troops. That’s all for now. As I finish the video I’m sure I’ll have some more comments!

Yes, it's the merge feature that I love the most. I must have wasted hours back in the day, arranging, sorting and merging my troops.

I know you get a lot of flack online about talking too slowly. I kinda feel you may have over-corrected on this one. Things go a little fast, which is fine for most games, but the slow pace of Rome Total War often requires a slower explanation. Otherwise, this is another fantastic video.
