This video has me tearing up. In addition to the affirming and inspiring message; I feel like I’ve finally found my tribe and their values align with mine. It’s refreshing to see black women who GENUINELY want to see other black women happy. No black excellence hustle culture buy my shiny thing that only talks about what they’re doing vs HOW you can do this too. I feel at home and I feel safe. Thank You ladies for all that you do. ❤

Cut to the chase, find your location. Put in a search engine "what's the average cost of living for that location" then go to a local property finder website and research what they want for move in costs. First, last and security deposit, etc. Never pay a year in advance. Those visas for beyond tourism stays are not coming in initially for one year. Some aren't easy to get. You can lease a space out for 1 year, and even if the visa is limited, pick a location where you can easily go somewhere else if you have to pop out and back in. Save for at least 2 years and have multiple income streams if you can. The most important factors--is their dollar to usd exchange rate. That will establish your standard of living. 10 to 1 decent lifestyle, 20 or more for 1 usd, king or queen status. Always buy local, skipping the US and European brands for staples. I'm in Egypt right now with my feet kicked up typing this without a care in the world.

@@nalignmentwlifehealinglife Don't neglect your health care needs. Some countries take private insurance and services are a much lower cost. I kept dental, eye care and health insurance. Vision was so low cost I paid cash. Might cancel that insurance. My dental insurance will take out of service area, claims. Just had a wisdom tooth surgically removed for $334 usd. Paid out of pocket but 100% reimbursement.

Yes. if you pay attention to the exchange rate for your dollar. 10 to 1, pretty good, by local and made in--where you are you should be able to live decent. 20 to 1 usd and above, king and queen status or king, or, queen if you are traveling solo. Always buy local not US or European brands. You will save boatloads of money.

loved that video! So disappointed that I missed this summit. I wish we had more initiatives like this in Guadeloupe. Even though I do have my remote job, I would like to have a side hustle with English speaking islands. Would like to promote more English here , create partnership etc. Thanks again for all these ideas, motivation for us!

Thanks for sharing so much info. I'm also struggling to figure out how to generate income living abroad when so much of my work life involves the physical world (building, sewing, etc.). I legitimately don't want to spend any more time online; the internet doesn't motivate me and I'm also not motivated by money, which certainly makes things challenging. If getting a physical job in the place you want to move to isn't a good idea, but you don't want to do business online, what might you recommend?

    • @ExodusCollective

It's a virtual event so you don't have to be vaccinated 🙂. It's open to all black women - full details can be found via the link. I attended in 2020 and 2021 so would highly recommend it 👍🏾
