Never intended to do a video on the old RS3 8P but was pleasantly surprised! Glad I tried it out otherwise I would have carried on believing it was boring to drive, trust me its far from it!

Turns out there was some more suspension mods done to this car, hence why it handed better than stock. Was told after I did the review!

I just wonder what ever happen to these older cars as time goes on... It's like they're slowly being extinct as I remember these were the cars of choice for the Birmingham/Bradford gangsters couple years ago. I didn't think Audi could top this one, but they have surprisingly. Vw scirocco R review next? Amazing video as always bro! Stay safe..
What an engine, that 5 cylinder, amazing sound. Also great build quality, you do not need to race in it, people know you are in a quick car, it has 4wd, it is almost the perfect car, 2010,2011, etc etc. Not having the twin exhaust at the back would not bother me in the slightest either.

If I am not wrong, the RS3 8P was a limited production run of about 3500units globally and I am one of the fortunate ones to have owned one since 2012. For the past 5 years it remains basically stock except for MTM Stage 1 (400bhp and 550NM) tuned and center cat removal! And downgraded to 18x8.0 BBS RI- forged rims. The ride comforts and steering improves tremendously for the 18", and consumption getting constant 450-480km for a full rank with 50% highway and 20% of the time getting full throttle (to listen to the exhaust note). Does it understeer? Yes it does and badly if you track it and get too aggressively over the apex. But with a set of Ohlins Coilovers recently fitted, the understeer is as good as gone and yet ride comfort remains. But will it out handle a BMW 1 or 2 series? No it will never be, but on a straight line it will outrun （tested a few times with a M135 stage 1 with exhaust). It will also give some Porsches a big scare too. I had tested the new RS3 8V sedan for one day. Is it worth the upgrade? Yes if you like the new interior and more aggressive frontal look. But I will not, as I find this 8P (stage 1 tuned) can be as fast and as fun as the new 8V. There are times where I am itching to change, but I just can't find a good replacement or sleeper car with this power, giving this consumption, this practically of a 5door hatch, and ultimately this excellent soundtrack of the 5 cylinder. I am waiting to see if the new RS4 will be a good replacement.
I have a stage 2 tuned regular A3 8P (2009) and I fucking love it. The practicality of the hatchback is why I haven't replaced it, I also love the look of this generation of A3. The only A3 hatchback they sell in the states now is an electric model... so I rarely see my car on the road which adds to the appeal. Enjoy your RS3 man I hope you keep it.
I have seen a lot of these cars in my country, mostly they're two owner cars, so if I buy one I would be a third owner with a car that has less than 70 000kms. Why are people not holding on to them since they're limited.

Totally agree with the seats comments. I had the same recaro buckets seats (as shown in the video) in my 07 S3 8P, and they were excellent. I now have the Super Sport seats in my 16 S3 8V, and they are shocking. Seat base too flat, not enough bolstering for cornering, and very uncomfortable on long journeys.

Ive got an S3 8p APR stage 2+ which i love so much. I would have bought an RS3 8p but they never came out to Australia. Big disappointment :( Great vid also. Keep it up.

Thumbs up as usual. Close friend of mine has one of these, my FL S3 is actually slightly quicker in a striaght line but like you say his car sounds a lot better. Really like the 8P RS3 , in fact prefer it to the 8V tbh especially that front end they didn't mess around with the flared arching and big vents.

U can get a good one....u just have to shop around....prob best get one with no mods. I was able to get a 12 plate 55 thou on clock 2 owners no mods, full audi history..

My S3 8P I thought was decent at handling in standard form until I got my s3 8V facelift and lowered it now I realise it was a poor handling chassis. rs3 ? I can’t say

For a stock vehicle, there is nothing in its class that is superior.. I live in Southern California.. We have millions of sports cars, from Subaru STI, Evo's.. Golf R's. And many more.. The Audi RS3 has the complete package.. And can actually compete with a Porsche 911 GTS.. Interior, exterior, exhaust, suspension, and that fucking engine is amazing.. And its not so much HP. but that torque that digs off the line, coupled with AUDI's Quattro .. Sorry VW fans, .. You'll have to sit this out.. Grab some popcorn, and enjoy the show..

I personally think this version of the rs3 stock vs stock sounds better than the new one. the new one has too many pops and bangs.
Yeah I can understand where you're coming from, but with new one you can always get one without sports exhaust if you want it to be quieter.
i like the loudness of it. Its just imo the mk1 sounds better and has less pops and bangs. Im still undecided what car sounds best with this engine. I mean for example I think it sounds better in the focus ST than in the RS, like the one in this video i think sounds really good ruclips.net/video/fUvpFT9og6k/видео.html . Also sounds pretty good on volvos aswell.

Yeah, but those seats are the most uncomfortable. Thats why most people like the normal RS3 seats you can also get in them. Way more comfy and still holds you in.
