I appreciate Dr. Lee’s genius and humility. He acknowledges the value of teamwork and doesn’t forget to credit everyone’s contribution to solving the case.
I agree. Not many people are a humble genius. Besides, that Dr. is a gentleman.
True 😊
Dr.Lee is a legend on forensics and court
Old tradition on 'friend, check on " i know from 'they got away with murder?"' Comes from xix century and older
Witnesses made him famous
That little girl. Talk about being in the right place at the right time.
Eh he was gonna be convicted either way
when you don’t see the spouse in the interviews in the first 3-4 minutes then you know who did it 😅😅😅
You also have to pay attention to the backdrop and how they frame the shot. I watched one episode where they showed the killer and interviewed him as a witness. Lol
@@silentj624 muffled cries?
What kind of person kills his pregnant wife and mother of their children after 17 years of marriage…? Nice to see that a 9 year old girl nailed the case!
A person for whom children are not a value, but an obstacle.
John list, Chris watts, Peterson
This series is full of episodes that a parent killed the other parent (both mothers and fathers) while there were small or school age children living at home. More often that not it was either for insurance money or to get full custody of the children as to them divorce wasn't an option due to child support or limited visitation rights among other reasons.
Yes! As a nosy kid myself i did that a lot when i see my mom/aunts talking on the phone lol
@@smgp2023 Eavesdropping is actually quite easy to learn. When I was a kid I didn't like to be kept in the dark about things.
"That is alot of seman stain" gotta love the professionalism of these investigators.
The absolute greatest line in forensic files 😂
Dude needed his own subtitles. Could barely understand him.
Grow up
@@feralkat9370Understood him perfectly.
And the fact that line came from Dr. Henry Lee is just chef’s kiss 😂
Love Dr. Henry Lee, he is, in my opinion, a brilliant criminalist very dedicated to solving crimes. Dr. Lee is retired now but I hope he enjoys his retirement to the fullest. He is very sorely missed by his colleagues. God bless Dr. Lee always, I wish him happiness, health, and a very long life. 🙏♥️
Oh that's sweet thank you baby 😮
He's great. He has one of my all time favorite FF quotes, just how he says it-- "Uh...that's a lot of semen stains."
👉🏽👌🏽🖕🏽oops 😂 typo
Dr. Lee may be a brilliant scientist, but if you read his entire history, he is about as shady as it gets. In July of last year, Lee was found to a fabricated evidence that sent two teens to prison for 30 years. The teens were released from prison and he could be held liable in the case. That is one example of many where his practices have been unethical.
Dr. Lee is fantastic, his way of figuring out how things happen is Mind blowing!
indeed forensic medicine is fantastic
Yup, he's one of my favorite guest to see!
He helped get OJ off
@@Bea-ok8ci Exactly. Although brilliant, over the years Dr. Lee’s testimony became open to the highest bidder. His embarrassing testimony in the OJ trial and in the staircase murder trial pretty much ruined his reputation. It’s a shame because he is a brilliant scientist, but his greed ended up getting the best of him.
Agree
This is like the third MENSA member I've heard of who thought they could get away with murder and failed badly. Apparently IQ doesn't count for much when the shit hits the fan.
Well it is only 1 in 50 anyways.
And those who are more included to join Mensa are probably those with bigger egos. Other people are just smart and don’t need to join a society for it
Especially since the 9 year old who was actually smarter than the jackass who belonged to MENSA
Thank goodness the girl picked up the phone she was a big help in this case. I’m always amazed when they actually think they can outsmart our Forensic Specialist these days. Great job. My prayers to her family :(
He was in MENSA don't ya know? lolol

He may have had a high I.Q, but Sherman wasn't smarter than detectives and scientists. Even the 9 year old girl who listened in on his fake phone call was smarter than Sherman. Fantastic job on the people involved in this case. Props to the HOF Dr. Lee and his team
She wasn't smarter, she was just a witness. Duh.🙄🙄🤦♀️

Wow ! How lucky was it the little girl was listening.
I'm totally sure that every one saw this show liked D.R lee immediately..
He is intelligent and have a sense of humor and very talented too 😎👏
I doubt it considering the number of racist in the world.
Absolutely!
Yes, Dr. Lee is the best 👏
I guess you haven’t read about the history of Dr. Lee. He is about as corrupt as it gets and is in hot water right now after getting found in July of 2023 of fabricating evidence that sent two teenagers to prison for 30 years. The two wrongfully convicted people have been released, and Lee could be held liable. He is not a good man.
Dr lee is spot on😀good job sir
Time of the deaf
If he has kids I bet they never got away with anything!
Edward Sherman, a college teacher from Niantic who almost got away with murder, has died after suffering a heart attack in prison where he was serving 50 years for killing his wife.(12 January 1996)
Thank you for updating.
You are welcome
He got off too early and too easy.
Mmmm
😻👍 Win-win. Taxpayers stop supporting him and we have one murderer who will never do it again… Guaranteed. It’s not something to celebrate but it’s nothing to be sad about, either.
What kind of a human being was Ed Sherman to kill his unborn child and wife??? For crying out loud, she was 8 1/2 months pregnant. Wow, this was evilness at its finest! May Ellen and the baby boy rest in peace always 🙏🙏
“That’s a lot a semen stain” that cracked me up I’m sorry lol
LoL, me too. I was thinking damn people, it’s called a washing machine !
Some "MENSA" people are so conceited and arrogant that they wind up outsmarting themselves LOL!
those "geniuses" are no match for forensics.
In Spanish Mensa means dummy.
He was book smart but not street smart. He got brain but not much of a heart. He can't make much money but didn't want to lose his luxurious lifestyle, he choose materials over the life of his wife and fetus.
That's true.
If I turn up the air conditioning that will confuse the time of death. Or it will make it look like you killed her and turned up the air conditioning to confuse the time of death. What?
When Dr. Henry Lee is on the case it's a wrap... case closed!
No kidding. That man can solve the crime just by looking a single fiber.
Or Tom Bevel or Skip Palanik who've been on several episodes. They are all problem solvers who will get to the bottom of it.
8:44 "That's a lot of semen stains"
- Henry Lee
I bust out laughing at that
Lol
The MENSA guy was bested by Dr Lee. Love it!
At least he died in custody not having his cake and eating it too. Just get a damn divorce. You can always rebuild but that's too much for a narcissist.
That quote “Divorce isn’t an option” never dies.
I think he was selfish and disrespect I always said people like that don't make far through life
Pretty sure he was too lazy to rebuild his life from scratch too.
Finally justice was served properly. That so and so would have had 50 years to think about killing a woman who was pregnant with baby. You really have to have no soul to commit a crime as heinous as that.
Too bad he "got it easy", died only 3 years into his punishment. For such people, I wholeheartedly wish a special hell existed, and he's there now.
Happens every day in America. The most dangerous time in a womans life is when she is pregnant.
R.I.P Mike Malchik❤. He stayed on the case until he solved it
The Chinese Forensic Cop rocks.
Lots and lots of semen stains 😯😩
He's a legend
He is Japanese.
I respect and trust Dr. Lee.
@C F…… you are correct, he is Chinese, i stand corrected.
This guy really a piece of work.
I can't believe how young Dr.
Lee is in this program! I've been waiting for him to appear in Forensic Files. What a horrible crime to do to someone love, may Ellen rest in peace.
Ellen shouldn’t have said anything to Ed that she was going to divorce him and leave with almost nothing. This is the mistake that people make over and over again not realizing how the reaction of their partners might be especially, where money is involved.
Moral to this story: If you are going to divorce your partner, just do it and stay quiet! Your life depends on what you say.
Exactly
I got the impression that their marriage lasted so long only because he understood that he would suffer a great loss if they divorced.
Yes when people say they're going to stick it to the other person, they are asking for trouble. Say nothing until the court hearings. In a nearby town here a guy shot and killed his wife because she was leaving and going to take the children away as well.
@@gags730 Yes there's a LOT of those both male and female in this series who were doomed to get caught.
Better yet stay single.
I've done a few stints in prison and seen a few young guys die in their beds from stress and other mysterious things
Never think of going to prison it's ugly
How does a heartless person die of a heart attack?
Well said.
Maybe he was struggling to survive in prison. After all stress can cause a heart attack.
@@RedRobin6543over ur head 😂
Dr. Lee is so smart
I can't get over that many stains on the bed sheet. It must be crispy.
Ewww! LMao 🤣 🤣
200 stains does not particularly means large stains, some microscopic stains are stains too and they won't make your bed sheet crispy.
Ick ! 😮
So much for the impressiveness of MENSA members!
Bed sheets could probably stand up by themselves!! Motels are not even that bad
🤣🤣🤣🤣
one of the investigators said they had to peel them apart
@@adotintheshark4848 haha so gross!!!
They said the stains had "survived" laundering.. Still so gross! 🤮
😆 the sheets were stuck to the mattress
Dr Lee summed it up nicely.Teamwork.Together with each ones findings and evidence the collectively nailed the culprit.
Ed wanted to have his cake and eat it too…..but it doesn’t work that way. Oh well…..
When you decide that you don't want to be married anymore. The best thing for you too do is make sure that you have a get away plan. Also make sure that you have someone there as a witness. If you are in a violent situation make sure that you have a place to go too and make sure that the one that you are leaving doesn't know where you are. If you have child/children this keeps you and your child/children safe.
Also a good way to lose your child/children too!
For sure on all of that. Domestic situations are more dangerous than one thinks. When my parents divorced neither one planned to make trouble for the other as they knew there was nothing to be gained. It was amicable.
Dr. Lee days "that's a lot of semen stain"that was fantastic!!!!😂
Rest in heaven mr Peter Thomas the best narrator ever
He should’ve just left her; it’s not that hard. Why kill? If money was a concern he should’ve gotten a prenup. People are crazy.
Apparently SHE had the money, not him. He'd have probably been pretty broke afterward.
I would say that being broke is better than being in prison.
He probably married her for her money, so even if the prenup thingy existed back when they've gotten married, it wouldn't be swaying for his benefits anyway. He killed his own wife and baby because he wanted to keep his luxurious lifestyle. Too bad the scumbag only got to live his punishment for 3 years. He's gotten it easy. Hopefully hell exists for these kinds of evils.
Because it was her money to begin with.
In any event, thanks for the spoiler.
😵😖🙃 People are crazy. I love your comment.💛
*"It was a bird, a pair of panties and an old lawn mower" that cracked the case.😂*
Most likely a Snapper lawnmower.
Gotta love the dark humor in this show. Even Peter Thomas would express his amusement every now and then with a minute fluctuation of his voice.
@@kadejito1 Yeah for sure... even the way Peter Thomas says "to-mae-toe." 😃

I think it was carzy how he killed her
You haven't seen them all yet?!
it's crazy that you think there are new episodes.. this show ended years ago
The good part is.... the more alibi he wanted, the more trapped he got himself into.
He could have just chill and be the one to find his wife on arrival....
But again killing a pregnant woman is just wow, some are beyond heartless
I don’t comprehend why people commit a crime for mistress, money, jealousy, and vengeance
Darn! Then what else is left?
What a selfish man. Unreal level of callousness.
I feel the need to bring up the fact that if you actually go and watch _Blackout (1985)…_ the protagonist who kills his wife and kids is also named Edward/Ed. 😅
I want to see it and I hope it's super cheesy those are the best
He was a member of MENSA ?? Don't make me laugh 🤣
If I have to get divorced when I don't want to, and my spouse takes half of all the money I brought to my home. I'd be pissed. But I will never think to murder my spouse.
How fickel the jurors were. When it was apparent that the killer tried to disguise the TIME OF DEATH they still insisted to hear it again. That means they despised the crucial testimony of the 9-year-old proving he was lying when he phoned her from the friend's home. No matter your IQ or intelligence the BLOOD of victims always cries for justice and speaks long after one is dead and buried. I thank God for science but I also thank God for justice and judgment to follow.
Wow really something to know your wife is dead and have a family friend walk into the kind of scene
3:31 the actor blinked 😄
😅 Wow! That is some amazing detective work! Haha
He was talking on the phone while it was ringing. Lol😅
You know how real combat veterans (heroes) don't talk about it that much? Well, MENSA is kind of like that.
Why is no mention made of the unborn baby being also killed❓❓❓
I love the title. I can’t remember if I’ve seen this one.
Why would she ever expect a man like him to change because she was going to have a child? When you get married expect them to stay fairly similar and don’t think you can change them. He was always a p.o.s., children wouldn’t change a man like that.
Thank you to the nosy kid😉
Umm. She tried using herr homme phone. Not like she was listening outside da neighbor’s window or something
It's not that she was being nosy, she happened to try and use the phone at the same time he was on it. It use to happen all the time at my home back in the day when we had two landlines in our home.
Endless gratitude to forensic team. 🌞
20:38 if he thought he was such a bad guy why was he friends with him?
What angers me the most is that sailing trip. Kills his wife n unborn child is horrible, but that stupid sailing trip - what a POS
Lord I need a gif of the forensic detective saying that's a lot of semen stains.
Usually they say....when analyzed under an alternate light source it light up like a Christmas tree.... they didn't say that about the sheets.....😅
Or “on a hunch…” and also “she would light up a room.”
That’s for blood, not semen.
I hope the investigation and sicence were 100% true.. they never looked at others.
What an episode.....caught me glued to my screen
If I was hooked up to a polygraph and you asked me if I was a jellyfish named Siobhan who spoke fluent Mongolian and was on the 1990s Olympic USA Dream Team, and I truthfully said, "no", I more than likely would fail said polygraph. My nerves/anxiety would be off the charts just from being interrogated let alone from being hooked up to the machine, being a potential suspect in a crime, etc. So, point being, as we all know: polygraphs are not very reliable.
🤣 But don't worry, they can (mostly) tell differences in your answers by asking basic questions like "does your name is Jim?" and "do you have a driving license?" and some results are considered as 'inconclusive' (like in this particular case) anyway.
When Dr. Henry Lee gets on a case, it is solved…..this is how good he is. I just love him, he is a brilliant scientist. 👍👍🙌♥️♥️♥️♥️🙏🙏
So if had not tried so hard to outsmart the police... 1) he did not make the phone call from his friend's house. 2) he did not try to show what a devoted little husband he was and call his wife from the boat 3) if he did not send a friend to check on her..... he may have got away with it. He could simply have got home from the trip / turned the air con to heat to bring the room back as quickly as possible to normal temperature and then called the police - it may have worked.....
He is thinking he so so smart but he's wasn't
He's book smart but he's not street smart. And he's damn lazy. His only source of killing knowledge was probably that Blackout movie, LoL.
They could have gone back and gotten dna off of the underwear if it went to a cold case.
This happened in 1985. That's likely why they didn't try for dna. 😊
I thank God for giving us people forensic detectives to get justice.
So much for a MENSA member...
Hi IQ doesn’t mean one is smart and intelligent.
Very true.
So what, IQ I guess stands for Intellectually Questionable??
To do this you have no soul.
Dr. Lee is the man
If A Guy/YOUR HUSBAND Tells You He Dont Want You LEAVE OR GET A DIVORCE.. Hi said
According to this program and programs as such, the majority of all crimes (murders) take place either because of money or a/another woman, one way or another.
Money, power, love/lust, and occasionally child custody. That's usually the motivation.
So much for all that intelligence he had.
I think prenup should be mandatory because they will prevent a lot of murders,
Right, the boat friend did not know about elen's husband lifestyle...
Sad case
Even the financially well off have their problems (Connecticut is a virtually unaffordable state to live in unless you make six figures these days)

@@RedRobin6543 not for the better in most cases.
Man, people learn some very twisted things in movies and TV.
It seems that no matter how intelligent one is, they will push sinister acts to the level of ordinary intelligence, thinking that they will always just stay one step ahead and never get caught. To me, that's pretty stupid.
IQ testing is not always an accurate way to measure intelligence; I think it was stupid of him to call so close to the time of the murder, it's a pretty clichéd way to try and distance yourself from the crime.
Well, looks like Mensa makes mistakes in judging who is smarter
