    • @Microdomus
      @Microdomus  5 лет назад +2

      Easier to get the right swing in some of the riffs. The songs also made sense being played that way when I was learning ‘em. What tuning Fenriz originally used, who knows... he was probably too drunk to even tune anything 😄

    • @joshprice9143
      @joshprice9143 3 года назад +1

      @@awonderingoneil206 the reason the tuning of the guitars and bass fall between A 440hz is because the tape speed of "Necrohell Studios"(a Tascam analog 4 track) either being slowed down a bit during track bouncing (done to open up more tracks for overdubbing) or the final mix/transfer to a secondary master (you cant play a 4 track master on a normal stereo tape deck)...sometimes Black Metal bands, esp back in the early days, would speed up( Immortal's Pure Holocaust) and sometimes slow down the master tape to achieve that "feeling" they were looking for but I think in Fenriz case he prob just drunkenly messed with the tape speed until he achieved "Haptic Void"...thats the technical term I guess...its what the kiddies call it these days...like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for metalheads...achieving max intensity...silly bastards lol

    • @awonderingoneil206
      @awonderingoneil206 3 года назад

      @@joshprice9143 The overdubbing trick is old, sadly nobody in the new scene really remembers the fun you could have with tape.
