Got good memories of the MML, and the section between Harlington and Market Harborough is my favourite section, thoroughly enjoyed watching, bloody good sounding HSTs, keep up the good work and another thumbs up from me as always
I love the MML, the real only proper line to catch a HST in all their glory :) I'm glad you enjoyed watching this and thanks very much for liking it :)
Thanks ever so much for subscribing to my channel and for liking the video it really is greatly appreciated, I'm definitely going to miss the VP185 engines when they get removed
Nice videos, great company while I was studying. 10:26 Now I get why Steve Jobs called the powerful and speedy products / chips "screamers" , a nod to the speedy and screaming HSTs ! Their screams are the best sounds I've ever heard. ( When a HST screams, she means business and speeds ;) )
Thank you for saying so I'm glad you enjoyed watching this, the EMT HST's have by far and away the best sounding engines on the whole network. They just sound incredible :)
Ah the midland mainline. My old local was on the line, and I still go to it regularly. It's brilliant, and I myself have filmed at every station bar Luton! I think a trip to which, alongside returning to Harlington is in order this year! Great video as ever Jarred, always enjoy your stuff, but I must catch up now I have the time. Also, dammit 222017, you had to be in this video didn't you? 😂
Well hopefully in a few years time I'll be doing a MML series from Sheffield to London St Pancras, albeit without the HST's sadly, hopefully their replacements will be just as good. Luton is a great station to go to and one that I do recommend. Well if you have a stalker on a railway line and I'm filming on it sods law would say that I'm always going to see it hahaha
I really hope that the HST replacements will be of a similar nature, whilst I don't mind the Hitachi trains it would be nice to see something different running on the network
At the start it felt like I was in a model set, the station looks so Playmobilish. The Beast HST @ 10:18 I barely made out the call #, but she was flying. They all were, damn! Harlington, not much of a looker but man, she gives great stage. Brussels in Belgium, time for some Chocolate. Great job, thanks and travel safe! B.P.
I know what you mean the station doesn't really have much going for it apart from a couple of shelters and an old station building. But on the flip side you get some incredible views and the speed at which the trains pass through is absolutely incredible, thanks very much for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed the film
What a cracking video and I saw a lot of Thameslink trains coming and going at Brighton and Preston Park station and ever sinced I've been on their class 700's the carriages and their seats are comfortable you should really do a train ride of them on RUclips. 👍😃😀
Just watched this video again and oh to have been at that station just to see and hear those Valentas. Think they're going to be around for a few more years yet while companies bid for the next MML franchise. I wouldn't be surprised if the bi-mode Hitachi's eventually replace the 125"s as electrification doesn't look likely. Be sad to see them go. I lived in Corby a few years back and the nearest station to me then was Kettering and used to catch a train there to visit my gf in Warrington. The HST"s used to fly by before my train.
having those HST's flying past me screaming was a joy to listen to, it's a sound I will never get tired of!! Sadly one day their time of the MML will be up but until that time I am going to enjoy them in all the glory and splendour
Since they've putted a new timetable Thameslink can now go from Brighton to Cambridge and from Horsham to Peterborough via Gatwick Airport, London Bridge and London St Pancras International.
Great video tornado922 have fun taking a Eurostar train to Brussels and the Virgin trains class 390 pendolino from Milton Keynes central to London Euston
I’ve heard last month the Thameslink Canal Tunnels are in service meaning Thameslink’s 700 series 8 and 12 coach trains travel between Peterborough, Cambridge, Brighton, Horsham and Eastbourne via the East Coast Main Line and the Brighton Main Line. Before February 26 2018 the day when the Thameslink Canal Tunnels opened for direct crossings from the East Coast Main Line to the Brighton Main Line there was only the Thameslink Bedford-Brighton service now there’s also the 700 series Peterborough-Brighton/Horsham and Cambridge-Brighton services. Since the new VTEC 800s can run on both overhead wires and 3rd rail lines without the overhead wires it’s possible VTEC could expand their reach into East Sussex from their current Yorkshire, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Stirling and Inverness services. Perhaps VTEC could one day run the 800s on services between Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Brighton by using the new Thameslink Canal Tunnels going between the East Coast Mainline and the Brighton Mainline.
I haven't heard of that yet but I'll be sure to look into it. If that is the case then I very much look forward to seeing a greater variety of services operating out of Cambridge and Peterborough. The rail network is certainly getting busier now with more trains entering the market and new railway lines being constructed. In terms of VTEC operating those types of services I cant see it happening really, VTEC wont be around for very much longer thanks to Stagecoach screwing up the contract by over pricing their bid that the start of everything.
Tornado922. I was there today dude I crossed the bridge when I saw u filming aha. And when are u going to film at brandon on the brecland line ? You'll get east Midlands trains and greater anglia and freghtlinerns.??
Best sounds in the world:
10:26 from 43046
10:30 from 43043
11:44 from 43083
11:48 from 43044
17:29 from 43045
17:32 from 43082
!

Lovely station, I'm a big fan of East Midlands, and Thameslink trains racing past each other! Great video
It is a quaint station to come to and I'll definitely be coming back here.
Yeah, Out of curiousity, i've noticed the East Midlands platforms not being blocked. Do they stop?
still it is absolutely crazy that you can see the numbers when they drive so fast. Fantastic video.
I love being able to do it :) Gives me a challenge essentially :) I'm glad you enjoyed watching this :)
10:23 when the train went through his reaction made me laugh
One of the best sounds ever heard!
It was actually 10:31
@@Tornado922 couldn't agree more. The almighty roar of a HST is undoubtedly amazing
Those Vintage HST screamers sounded absolutely gourgeous hammering it through! I do miss the valenta ones. Great video as always
They sound fantastic without a doubt, it's going to be a sad day when they finally get put to rest, much like the old school Valenta engines
Great Video. Those VP185's sounding amazing and will be truly missed when they're gone. Gained a sub as well.
Thanks ever so much for subscribing to my channel and for liking the video it really is greatly appreciated, I'm definitely going to miss the VP185 engines when they get removed

Tornado922 your last point is true there.
The replacements better not be Hitachi rubbish or I'll be quite annoyed to say the least
I really hope that the HST replacements will be of a similar nature, whilst I don't mind the Hitachi trains it would be nice to see something different running on the network

Nah. Thanks to you! B.P.
Oh Yes the sound of the HSTs are just Beautiful :)
I love this video as it has the MERIDIANS one of my favourite High speed trains
I'm glad you enjoyed watching this
Fantastic Video I Really Enjoyed This Video So Much :)
Thanks very much mate I'm glad you enjoyed watching this :)
Great video and the last time I saw the East Midland HST, it was on a railtour to Pickering nymr, I was at Grosmont last July 2017.
Thanks ever so much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this :) I end up seeing HST's near enough every day
What a cracking video and I saw a lot of Thameslink trains coming and going at Brighton and Preston Park station and ever sinced I've been on their class 700's the carriages and their seats are comfortable you should really do a train ride of them on RUclips. 👍😃😀
It's a great station to come to, I may look into bringing back journey films
I love the scream of HSTs that sounded wonderful :)
They sound beautiful when screaming past :)
These HSTs that are screaming just scared me...
The East Midlands HSTs and the 222 were shifting :)
i have been here many times as my grandma lives in harlington village
Another great vid👍👍
Thanks very much for saying so
Great video, I quite like Harlington station its one stop down from my home town of Flitwick
Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this :) I'll try and get Flitwick done one day
Fantastic video!
Thanks very much
Thames Link 700s galore and some brilliant flash passes
If you like 700's then this is the place to be haha

What a nice East Midlands Trains HST screening like a Class 380 Atlante.
They do sound amazing
I should say that East Midlands HSTs Were giving it the all mighty beens indeed :)
Indeed they were :)
Since they've putted a new timetable Thameslink can now go from Brighton to Cambridge and from Horsham to Peterborough via Gatwick Airport, London Bridge and London St Pancras International.
When they introduced the new timetable they've had to cancel so many services because they just can't keep up
Great video mate
Thanks very much mate
I’m so sad when I see MTU HST’s it’s very sad that VP185’s have now gone
Great video tornado922 have fun taking a Eurostar train to Brussels and the Virgin trains class 390 pendolino from Milton Keynes central to London Euston

congrats ,very good video ,i work in this business , the video is excelent

Yet another great video.

Thanks very much!!
I would really recommend for you to train spot at Brighton on the BML.
I will be going there at some stage
20:00 The 1824 to Brighton terminated at Blackfrias due to problems with the electrified line (it didn't like the 3rd Rail)
ooh, well that doesn't surprise me to be honest
I believe the station with the 387s that everyone was talking about was Hayes &Harlington
Yes it is, but I had not mentioned going there and no one had mentioned the 387 units
I like the 700s Horns they sound Good :)
It's deeper than I thought they would be
Lovely video, why is it that only East Midlands have VP185 HSTs?
Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this, in all honesty In haven't got a clue why it's only EMT that has those engines inside their HST's
Tornado922.
I was there today dude I crossed the bridge when I saw u filming aha.
And when are u going to film at brandon on the brecland line ?
You'll get east Midlands trains and greater anglia and freghtlinerns.??
If I had seen you I would have waved haha, I'm gonna try and get there within the next few months once the weather starts improving
I have noticed that Harlington looks like Cheddington Station!
Yeah I have to admit that the similarities between them are very close
Good! Is this near Sheffield? Also what happened to the Grand Central HST
It's not near Sheffield :) It's located in-between the towns of Bedford and Luton, the Grand Central HST sets were given to East Midlands Trains
Tornado922 oh ok
So epic
Thanks very much
Nice video
Thanks very much
MERIDIANS R MY FAVEROUTE TRAINS
Judging by your profile picture I wouldn't have guessed XD
Shouldn't really do all the info about the station for trains at videos..
The "HST`S"were brilliant.
T.T.P.F.
They most certainly were :D
The screams On the EST hst sets are so loud. I thing I would got deaf very quickly if I lived next to the MML instead of the WC
The EMT HST's are certainly the best ones on any mainline in the UK
3:15
Are you at brussels now
When you sent this yes I was
10:31
Those 43s 0_0
They do thunder through
