Great video! I'm a professional organizer and I just finished all the closets in a home but one. The client got motivated and did one closet on their own and did a great job. They followed my suggestions for that closet and it looked great! I was able to work with what they had with very few purchases and they were made at a dollar store as well. It doesn't take much.
Always love your ideas! My husband is a pastor and he has lots of ties so, the idea of rolling the ties up and putting them in a bin or basket is really going to help. No more falling ties!!! Yay!
This gives me so much motivation! I cleared out my cupboard last week thanks to you Kathryn. I had 7 huge garbage bags for charity and bin! I got myself several boxes, one for handbags, one for shoes and one for all of my.craft supplies. I also done my towel cupboard which now looks amazing!

I want to thank you so much. I just redid my entire kitchen. My mom sister and I just can't keep our old,dark cupboards neat. Id love to paint the insides bright, but we rent and contact paper wasn't cutting it. I can't tell you enough to how using your method brightened the entire kitchen. I went to target and found the $1 chalkboard tags and pens and went to the dollar tree armed with measuring tape and the dimensions of the cabinets. I got the deep orange because we have a lot of earth tones and terra cotta in our home. My mom and sister were so impressed and we're spending more time together in the kitchen! I am pretty crafty but all of your tips and ideas are something I could've never duplicated without your videos. I'm moving to my first apartment soon and can't wait to start on the right foot! Thanks again, your talent is incredible!

oh gosh i just came from an alejandra.tv video about closet organizing and I am so glad this showed up on the autoplay. Respect to alejandra because everything looks so beautiful in her home, but there was so much upkeep to her system. I love that this is easy to maintain and doesn't require the kind of meticulous care that other channels recommend. I'm busy--i need something quick and easy. Thanks for this inspiration video!
I purged, now about to start organizing my closet, so this was perfect. I already use some of the baskets w/holes (thx to you) at the top of my closet for extra towels, rags & blankets and they work so well. TFS!

I watch your videos all the time and I did some simple closet switches that I figured you would do - all my tees, sweatshirts, bathing suits, and workout clothes in bins! And I keep all my empty hangers in one spot! If only the rest of my house could be as organized - I'm trying ! But it feels good when it gets done !
Just had a "why didn't I think of that?" moment...5 times in a row. My gosh...this is so intuitive & the color coordination (of the bins) + labeling balances perfectly with my subtle OCD. Definitely going to be back to this video to give this a shot next weekend. Thanks so much!
Great job, as usual! Love how you mentioned making a spot for "blank" hangers. I keep mine in the front hall closet. When I bring a load of clean laundry back from the laundry room, I stop and grab a handful of hangers and do all of the folding and "hanger-ing" right in the living room. Eliminating those little extra steps is the best way to simplify!

This is going to sound silly after seeing this closet but I wish to share. Today I went to my little Dollar Tree (we are in a very small town) which I'm sure gets the leftovers no one is excited about. But somehow I found a few items (three) to help organize a small corner on a table next to where I sit when on the computer. I was able to go through, and make the 3 stacks of items that were spread out over 3 feet into a small tray with a little container to hold smaller items. I found a 3 space organizer caddy that now holds all my nail manicure items including polishes and remover. I am sitting looking at this and I know it's peanuts compared to that closet BUT I love it and I accomplished something today!! THANK YOU, I wouldn't have done this without your videos.

I wear 100% of my wardrobe but it wasn't always like that. The change I made is to only keep clothes I like, love and wear. Everything else had to go. Now my closet is happy 😀
What a great job! I love the colors you chose for the closet. I also like the idea of a paper towel tube for the boots. I bought a pool noodle, cut it in half, and use that to keep my boots upright.

Right now Walmart has garment bags that are really good for storing clothes out of the dust and away from potential moths (I am a hobby costumer and I have lots of outfits I've made that I don't wear often, yet I want to store and keep in good condition!) They are only 3 bucks, they are very long (long enough to hold my longest dresses), they have a plastic front so you can see inside, and they unzip all the way to the bottom (unlike some garment bags that only unzip halfway down!) They seem pretty sturdy, so I wanted to recommend them to any of your viewers who are looking for decent garment bags. The ones I've seen on Amazon are at least 3 times that price.
+RyujinZero The only downside is that they have kind of a strong plastic smell from the plastic front, but maybe a few baking powder sachets will help with that.
Thank you for the tips! I especially loved the tip of putting the unused hangers in a specific spot. It takes me like 5 minutes to find all the hangers to then hang up clothes. If I have them readily available I’m more likely to hang them up right when laundry is done. I have a bad habit of saving the clothes that need hung up and draping them over a chair but then they seem to sit there for a few days and then sometimes get pulled down and are on the floor near the dirty laundry and then your like what’s clean and what dirty. Then u have to do the smell test to see oh this clean. Can’t wait to get my closet organized! 😁

I organize my clothes by what they are (t-shirts, tanks, long shirts, dresses, etc) and make rack labels (like in shops) with notecard, staples, and markers that clearly state what each group is so when I'm done with laundry, I put them back in that group. So far it has worked swimmingly!
Btw great ideas. You are so good at keeping it simple with rules it makes so much more sense seeing you do this and explain than reading about it. Live, live the color choice.
I loved this video, the only thing I would do different for me are the bins on the very top are very flexible and I have found that they are harder for me to grab hold of when up high. So if anyone has mobility issues switch these out for stiffer containers. I broke both my elbows and do not have the mobility I use to. Keep the videos coming I really enjoy them .

i just started watching your channel and i love it. i just went to dollar tree to get get stuff to organize my pantry...im doing that today. i seen your lazy susan pie pan idea...and i made it work with dollar tree pizza pans. 2 pizza pans on top of each other ....i have wire rack and they keep bottom one from moving so the top one spins. :) im so excited

I live in a fifth wheel so the bin tip will work. I keep spare hangers in the space between the bed and the wall as the closet is super tiny! But love the tips and I plan to use what I can.
Great video! I suffer from crazy closet clutter. I have limited access to every inch of my closet bc of the way its designed. I really don't know how i can maximize the use of it and it completely drives me crazy. But i think i might give it a shot and try some strategizing to get my crazy closet together once and for all. I seriously just bought these the other day at dollar tree and I used them to organize the bottom of our bathroom sink... worked like a charm!

Omg, you are a life saver! I love how you organize everything. If only you can come help me organize my place. I have a toddler and twin babies so my place is always a mess. I'm so bad at organizing things and get frustrated easily. I'm not creative at all.

I organize my clothes by what they are (t-shirts, tanks, long shirts, dresses, etc) and make rack labels (like in shops) with notecard, staples, and markers that clearly state what each group is so when I'm done with laundry, I put them back in that group. So far it has worked swimmingly!
Btw great ideas. You are so good at keeping it simple with rules it makes so much more sense seeing you do this and explain than reading about it. Live, live the color choice.

I loved this video, the only thing I would do different for me are the bins on the very top are very flexible and I have found that they are harder for me to grab hold of when up high. So if anyone has mobility issues switch these out for stiffer containers. I broke both my elbows and do not have the mobility I use to. Keep the videos coming I really enjoy them .

i just started watching your channel and i love it. i just went to dollar tree to get get stuff to organize my pantry...im doing that today. i seen your lazy susan pie pan idea...and i made it work with dollar tree pizza pans. 2 pizza pans on top of each other ....i have wire rack and they keep bottom one from moving so the top one spins. :) im so excited

I live in a fifth wheel so the bin tip will work. I keep spare hangers in the space between the bed and the wall as the closet is super tiny! But love the tips and I plan to use what I can.
Great video! I suffer from crazy closet clutter. I have limited access to every inch of my closet bc of the way its designed. I really don't know how i can maximize the use of it and it completely drives me crazy. But i think i might give it a shot and try some strategizing to get my crazy closet together once and for all. My daughter has the exact same closet, same size and the same built-in organizer (that I actually hate but we're not in the market to get a new one yet).
