I just have four things I want to mention:
1. During the discussion, there is an on and off audio issue where it’s not synced properly to my camera. I tried to correct it to the best of my ability so hopefully that doesn’t happen again in the future.
2. I talked A LOT about Game of Thrones in the discussion. More than I intended. I needed to get that out of my system so expect future episodes to not contain that much of a lean elsewhere.
3. I am now aware there will be a massive time jump at some point this season which I will address next episode.

George R R Martin himself said that A Song of Ice and Fire is about Jon and Dany. And at the end I believe for the long night they both just had a supporting role. They both together should have brought an end the the long night.
fire and blood was written as if it were a book of historical accounts written by a maester of the time, it's not like asoiaf they are pov, and don't worry because the story that the series is based on "the dance of dragons" has a beginning, middle and end ready and finished in the book are you can rest assured, this period of dance has everything it got had, betrayal, politics, intrigue, shocking plot, and of course many dragons and dragon vs dragon.

FWIW, GRRM told the show's creators about Aegon's dream.. and apparently personally approved the dialogue that Viserys had with his daughter. So, its now canon - the dream anyhow. I do like the tie-in they do here... even if they don't mention it again (though I think the cats paw dagger will be prominent in this show).
PS - you might enjoy this series more if you let go of the original GOT ending :)
I’m not opposed if GRRM had a say in it. I am just hoping this vision/ dream is more in line for how it will play out in the books rather than the show. I’m all for prophecy and connection, but knowing how anticlimactic it turns out makes it not as powerful of a reveal as it should be. Again not GRRM’s fault but I’ll try to think of this as more connected to the books rather than the later seasons of Game of Thrones.
The last scene you don't like is from GRRM himself .. And he involved with the new Jon Snow sequel!
In the books, unworthy rulers are said to get cut a lot on the throne. One thing that I hate they left out of GoT

Yeah I’m aware of that, I was just saying that Jon is the embodiment due to hailing from a lineage of both the Northern Kings and The Dragon Lords. His identity however is 100% Ice, I should have made my thoughts more clear on that.
i don't think they were trying to connect anything with game of thrones, it's completely the opposite. a song of ice and fire is titled after Jon and Daenerys. also, the breaker of chains soundtrack was playing in the background. in the books it's Jon and Dany that have dreams about the white walkers. Dany has a dream of riding a dragon and melting armies armored with ice and defeating winter / Jon has a dream that he's swinging a flaming sword and defeating winter. the dreamer heroes, like grrm called them.

It’s hard to separate the association of how the Long Night played out in the show, but I have faith it will play out better in GRRM’s actual vision and execution. If Game Of Thrones played out perfectly like we all wanted it to, the scene with Viserys and Rhaenyra would have gotten me way more excited.
I just hope they won't use HOTD to justify GOT ending. It will be disappointing then.
Was enjoying the reaction until you kept bringing up GoT's final season, the snide comments are just annoying, move on this is a new series.
