They definitely should've tweaked the animation to fit the english version better but considering they never decided to fix any of the bad acting.. that would've been far too much work for them.

My theory is that Pauly Shore wasn’t instructed to voice his lines like this. He probably knew that the production company would be unlikely to find another English-speaking celebrity willing to be in the film so he started messing around to see what he could get away with, and they were either too scared to call his bluff or just didn’t give a crap.

Right now I'm glad to know that the movies I see are already dubbed into Spanish. The scare of Pinocchio's voice will haunt me all my life, that's for sure. Why, man... Jokes aside, I really do recommend checking out the first Pinocchio you have shown the poster of! It’s an Italian take on the original story of Pinocchio that came out in 2019, and it was genuinely well made (I was positively surprised considering Italy produced bad comedy movies 90% of the time)

This unlocked a childhood memory. One time, when I was in, like, elementary school, I watched a live-action Pinocchio movie, and it wasn’t the family-friendly Disney story. I don’t remember exactly what the story was, but it was something like this: Pinocchio was about to become a real boy, but then he got turned into a donkey as a punishment for lying too much, made friends with another donkey, was put to work at a circus, reunited with his donkey friend who had been put to work at a mill and was dying due to being overworked, helped his dying friend with the mill, but then he died anyways, but, as a reward for being good, Pinocchio was no longer a donkey, and then he lied too much again, got eaten by a whale, and died. The end.
I watched that but after he got eaten by a whale he got spat out and the fairy turned him into a boy and I also read a book when I was a kid that he got hanged lol

I'm glad everyone noticed that pauly shore's v oice acting sucked. and cringe on the ninja turtles reference. I think the horse is more committed to the role. this trailer just makes it easier to appreciate the other two pinocchio adaptations. there's one from 2020 which I guess people are talking about now. the trailer looked much better and I kind of wanted to see how it went. the other is a stop motion animation from netflix, which I'm excited to see, directed by guillermo del toro, who gives me some higher expectations from his previous works.

I came to watch the trailer because the sassy voice at the beginning I watched the rest of it and it was blown away and then I saw who was voicing Pinocchio and it all made sense. And then the very end straight to DVD of course it is .
To make sense of it even more, I’ve heard that this is a Russian movie Lionsgate just picked up to dub. Which explains the early-2000’s feeling of the plot.

Something that terrifies me is the implication that the horse will get killed. They called Pinocchio the "wooden Romeo" at one point. The horse is called Tybalt. Go figure.

Jokes aside, I really do recommend checking out the first Pinocchio you have shown the poster of! It’s an Italian take on the original story of Pinocchio that came out in 2019, and it was genuinely well made (I was positively surprised considering Italy produced bad comedy movies 90% of the time)

One of the factors for how memetic it could become, is that it’s a Buratino movie being egregiously renamed for the international market just like its 1959 predecessor.

This unlocked a childhood memory. One time, when I was in, like, elementary school, I watched a live-action Pinocchio movie, and it wasn’t the family-friendly Disney story. I don’t remember exactly what the story was, but it was something like this:
Pinocchio was about to become a real boy, but then he got turned into a donkey as a punishment for lying too much, made friends with another donkey, was put to work at a circus, reunited with his donkey friend who had been put to work at a mill and was dying due to being overworked, helped his dying friend with the mill, but then he died anyways, but, as a reward for being good, Pinocchio was no longer a donkey, and then he lied too much again, got eaten by a whale, and died. The end.

The Lionsgate one is actually from Russia. Russian studios are pretty questionable, but Lionsgate is much shadier than most of them combined.

I'm glad everyone noticed that pauly shore's v oice acting sucked. and cringe on the ninja turtles reference. I think the horse is more committed to the role. this trailer just makes it easier to appreciate the other two pinocchio adaptations. there's one from 2020 which I guess people are talking about now. the trailer looked much better and I kind of wanted to see how it went. the other is a stop motion animation from netflix, which I'm excited to see, directed by guillermo del toro, who gives me some higher expectations from his previous works.

I came to watch the trailer because the sassy voice at the beginning I watched the rest of it and it was blown away and then I saw who was voicing Pinocchio and it all made sense. And then the very end straight to DVD of course it is .
To make sense of it even more, I’ve heard that this is a Russian movie Lionsgate just picked up to dub. Which explains the early-2000’s feeling of the plot.
