What I liked from this is that most of the things you were experimenting with 1) Grooved really nicely and 2) Didn't really need much to accompany it to make a 'full track' - Really like the idea of feeding the audio back into the cv in. Will be looking to experiment with this soon.

Thanks, yeah I’ve always really struggle with layering stuff, which used to drive me nuts in the early years, but now just try not to worry about it.
The audio into the CV opens things up so much, really expressive and surprising which is a nice feeling, especially when using the Rytm which often can be a struggle, at least has been for me previously.
      Thx for watching 🖤

Im loving your use of external cv inputs.
I find that feeding back audio into cv gives a wonderful organic feel. Its not random, it is somehow different, reactive.

      Cheers 🖤
Yeah totally agree, reactive is a really nice term for it.

@@ExpectResistance If you want a cheap modulation source the boss dr5 has a guitar input that tracks audio and generates midi. Its a lot of goofy fun.
I believe that is what Im using here in this video.

@@edjwise Nice. I love using odd bits of kit to create weird textures. I've been wanting to borrow my mates old Bass Station V1 rack as it has a nice CV/Gate to Midi convertor on it.

Love the change (and subsequent progression of sounds over the next few minutes) after 15:13 when you switch the step length to 7 and remove a trigger. Such a small initial change, but really effects the sounds nicely.

Cheers, yeah i know what you mean. It’s always amazing how sometimes such a small adjustment makes all the difference. Nice surprises, I remember really enjoying that change myself when it happened.
I find the odd number length patterns seem to have something going for them that more typical even numbers miss, at least when i do it haha. Listening to UR, X101,102 etc how the make more 4/4 patterns work is always super impressive.
