    I’ve been following your channel since 2020. Ever since, you have been my #1 inspiration in life and you have been someone I look up to. After taking 2 gap years, I’m now an engineering student @ University of Pretoria (home to Africa’s premier engineering faculty). I love computers and software engineering, but at the same time, I have an interest in electronics, and I am having difficulties choosing between a *Computer Engineering* degree or a *Electronic Engineering* degree. I would love to get advice from you regarding this. Thank you KJ!

      Thank you for your time, KJ. In computer engineering, the balanced mix of hardware electronics and software engineering modules appeals to me. On the other hand, electronic engineering delves even deeper into electronics. My aspiration is to become a computer chip designer and also contribute to the field of AI. Thanks once again for your time, KJ!

    I think Software Engineering is the future coz it involves all the aspects of other Engineering be it Mechanical, Electrical,Civil, Aerospace everyone is getting integrated in Computer System Everything involves Software and in future Software Engineers will have more edge. I think if u love Coding and Computers it's Ur major then.

      I feel Iike it's easy to learn coding on my own, on the other hand it's really hard to learn aerospace engineering, it costs much money too. I wanna learn it to work in the domain to get some experience and create my own space company. At the same time, I have many projects I can do with coding too 😅

    What's your review on Systems engineering. As I've also completed my under- graduation specialising in Aeronautical Engineering and willing to pursue my post-graduation in Systems Engineering mainly it will include Model Based System Engineering.

    • @KJHardrict
      @KJHardrict  6 месяцев назад +1

      Systems engineering is vague, so it’s tough for me to answer. It really depends on the specific projects you’d be involved in. But I do have some friends who are very intrigued by it as well. I think it could be a fulfilling role

    • @KJHardrict

      Money should never be the sole driving factor in a major decision like this - because it could lead to decades of unfulfillment. But it is definitely a major factor that can’t be ignored.

    • @KJHardrict
      @KJHardrict  6 месяцев назад

      No, since you’re in your mid thirties, I’m assuming you have plenty of years being a software engineer under your belt. For robotics, you’re just coding for a physical system now as opposed to a cloud distributed one. Do you have any experience working with physical systems? I’m curious why the interest now?

      @@KJHardrict there are a lot and I’m just learning but I was interested in the ethical/hacking and security. I’ve also seen game development to be interesting because it uses high level math and coding. But right now I think the best way to get in is full stack. I’m very interested in the front and back end sides, and this can introduce me to security when securing my websites. So I’m learning JavaScript right now, and I’m relearning python. I took a python course in college but did not build anything useful and forgot some syntax. I finished learning hrml and css as well. Thanks for the reply! Maybe you can give me some input
