The Mega Buterfree looks badass af, while feeling completely natural to pokemon, talk about a glow up! It's the best one alongside Mega Lapras. You're amazingly talented, kudos!
I really liked Mega Jolteon too, and the Mega Venomoth actually looks slightly intimidating. Mega Weezing was also awesome, adding another head and covered in black gunk/soot.

Some of these are fun, some are a little underwhelming, and some are over designed. But I can't help but admirer the skill, steady hands, and dedication needed to create these works of art in the style of the game's art.

I can only imagine how long it must've taken to come up with all of these, seriously well done! Personal faves are definitely the Nidos, Rapidash, Jynx, Lapras, Jolteon and Moltres. Brilliant work and coloured to match the official artwork. Keep up the good work!

Weirdly enough some of these just feel like a 4th evolution. I know that sounds weird because technically mega evolution is a next evolution. But like Mega evolution usually ramps up the previous evolution's features and exaggerates them. Still being able to see who it was before like Charizard for instance. But in this case the changes are very subtle or like very minimal making it seem like a natural next evolution rather than a mega evolution. Might not make sense but yeah. Basically it isn't extreme enough. However that doesn't change the fact these are great additions you've made!

I'm on the exact opposite spectrum of this. These feel like perfect megas because they resemble the previous evolution's features and exaggerates them. Natural evolution's tend to completely revamp the creatures, turning them into something completely different, rather than being 'subtle' like most of the official and fanmade megas.

Otherwise just call it "if pokemon had a 4th evolution" Theres no room for subtle...when it's a mega evolution. The whole point is for it to be the ultimate form of the pokemon. Why would i need a mega stone etc just for a Cloyster to have more spikes? Like i said before I love the designs. But they don't scream mega evolution to me.

Why would I need a mega stone just to give Garchomp more teeth and more well-defined scythes? Why would I need a mega stone to give Blaziken fire ribbons? Why would I need a mega stone to give Sharpedo more stripes and teeth on his nose? Why would I need to a mega stone to give Gengar design elements from his previous evolutions? Why would I need a mega stone just to give Lucario a pattern swap, more iron spikes, and longer dreads? *Why would I need a mega stone to mature kangaskhan's baby?*

Some of these felt lazy (raichu and ninetales) or overdone (dugtrio and magnazone), but ones like butterfree, venomoth, victreebell, tentacruel, and dewgong are so perfect and natural for the games

I like it. To some, they say that they are too close to the original I have to disagree. I think that the mega-evolutions you pull off seem to breathe a kind of finetuned quality like your is fine-tuning what is already great and putting it to an even better setting. I'm sold and very impressed sir.
"Mega Kingdra" literally looks almost no different.
To me there's enough of a distinction. Kind of like Gardevoir only getting a larger dress
Probably just me but I like more of the simpler designs. Like look at Arcanine. It is a Digimon not an Arcanine. I also like Electrode and Weezing. They are so simple but show enough distinction.

They all looked so cool! And made me want to see all of these other Pokemon as special like this
super amazing designs!! My top 5 were Butterfree, Arbok, Lapras, Vaporeon, and Victrebel
Love most of these. I think some of them were either too close to the original design, too far from the main design, or you were going in the right direction but there was part of it that seemed off. That’s just my opinion though and I still love and appreciate the time, effort, & talent put into this 😊
Most of them didn't have much impact in my opinion but I really like what you did with Tentacruel, Rapidash, and especially Lapras. Weezing was pretty decent too.

Wow these are really good. I personally like the mega evolutions over the giga and giganta max Pokemon. I liked going around and collecting all of the stones too. It would be so cool if we had a new Pokémon game with all Pokémon ever national dex, mega stones, and when the Pokémon holds a mega stone they stay in the mega evolved form. Would be so sick!

Why no one is talking about kingdra being so effortless it kinda made me sad I was so hyped about him
ikr, its actually so disappointing. The artist didnt even add any extra detail to the kingdra, literally just used the normal art and put that in. SO boring!
No one is talking about it because he put SO much effort in to the whole dex, just cuz u can sit around and watch this without having to do any work doesn’t mean Shin Art didn’t put any work in. It may be an 18 minute video but imagine having to sketch the whole thing out 1 by 1 for 151 Pokemon. Kingdra is near the end of the dex so Shin was probably more tired then. Also Shin added golden gills to Kingdra.
Why does each drawing they made look like different art styles?
Its not just one person doing the art. Its a whole team. And a lot of these are just reskins. They made this compilation because they thought they looked cool. The kingdra didnt look like a mega, it more so looked like kingdra done right

It's not that, its stuff like arbok have too much going on. They dont really look like megas, which usually exemplify a few traits or add certain things, so more like the raichu or nidoran line megas u see here.

Just as a precaution, I like all the new mega's presented, they do look like mega evolutions for the actual pokemon, and all of them look like their typing wouldn't change.
Nidoking, Vileplume, Dugtrio, Primape, Arcanine, Victreebel, Tentacruel, Golem, Rapidash, Magnezone, Hypno, Electrode, Starmie, Jynx, Lapras, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Dragonite and Mew. Something about them just elevates them above the rest. They just look incredible.
Also Ninetails and Ditto I think I know the inspiration behind.
The mega lapras looks very amazing, it make sense for lapras to have its own mega evolution
I can't help but notice a supreme lack of mega Kabutops? I was hoping he would look great but you missed it entirely. Besides that most of them were decent to amazing. Some looked a little basic to be mega and others didnt even look like the original mon. Either way, cool video. 😁

I feel like a lot of these are overly detailed, the official mega evolutions exagurate whats already there and dosnt add many new elements. Like mew fx i feel is just way over blown. What made the older pokemon great was their simplicity, you could recognize them via siluette which is why "who is that pokemon?" was a bit easier. Im not hating they are still great pieces of art, just a bit of constructive critizism i hope :-)
