I honestly don’t understand scrapbooking and I don’t think this will ever be a hobby of mine, but I absolutely loved watching you scrapbook and just subscribed! Keep doing what you’re doing!!
It’s just another medium for art! Back in the day (and probably still) people would do it to showcase an important day or event. As a preteen I scrapbooked about summer camp, tournaments, moving into a new house etc. Sometimes I’d use pictures I took and would write a short description of the day/event. I never ended up really enjoying it but I do see the appeal, although it’s not for me. I prefer drawing, painting, flower pressing and writing; which can all be done in the form of scrapbooking if you so choose🙂

I do have a friend that made some beautiful photo albums similar to how you have described, but without the photos, it doesn’t make as much sense to me. That being said, I am still watching and enjoying KiKi’s videos! Haha. I guess I don’t need to understand it to appreciate it. 💕

I am a minimalist as it is, so when I see all of these supplies it actually stresses me out to envision all of this at my apartment. It feels like hoarding, in a way... once you finish the scrapbooking... then what, do you just stack up the books? Do you sell them? Recycle them? 😩 Do they just take up space and you never look at them again? And what with all the waste? All the supplies just end up being put on a piece of paper and eventually tossed out? All the wax and plastic? She opens so many different compartments, too... where does she store it all? Does it collect dust, how often does she have to dust it? Or clean it? Does she display it for friends? Is she a stationary collector? Does she use them for anything else besides this hobby? How much space does it occupy? All these things run thru my head when I see this hobby 😅 its beautiful, yes, but if I think about it too much, it stresses me out.
This is not scrapbooking, this is junk journalling. Scrapbooking involves mementos, photos, souvenirs which tell a story. This is junk journalling, using scraps of materials to collage. I do not see the point to these types of pages especially if you are buying ephemera to do them. If you are just using scraps, it makes more sense but to buy all these papers and stickers to make a book of collages seems a waste of time and money. If there was some room left to write stories or memories, that would seem more useful. The sounds in this are great but I find the video more odd for the waste of money for all of those materials that were purchased to do this.
The world of scrapbooking is foreign to me and since I am in a process of reducing my belongings rather than building up a heap of stuff, I am far away from starting a new hobby. The more reason to watch you putting together random things for the sole purpose for them to be displayed in a beautiful way (and I don't have to clean up or keep track of any supplies 🙂. Thank you for helping me relax!
I put this on while I was working, opened my work for like 5 minutes, and when I look back there's an extremely complex collage on the page. I'm genuinely blown away by your scrapbooking. It's soooo beautiful.
I am the type of person that is really only affected by “unintentional asmr”, but man when it’s effective its effective and my brain tingles like crazy and relaxes me, this video is pretty effective and I also like the vintage stuff. Keeps my attention.
I think I’ve found my new favorite genre of asmr there’s something relaxing about watching you silently sift through each sticker and picture, carefully choosing which one to use, it really scratches an itch in my brain

I’m in awe with all the little folders, bins, pouches, bags, baskets, glasses, and organizers in general. Some of them genuinely look antique like you went to an antique shop and bought them…..I may do that just for fun. The amount of stuff you have is insane. I have a sensible collection myself, but you are like a whole store! This video gave me vibes of you journaling while on some sort of ship, taking time to collage a journey. I half expected you the table to kind of sway and pencils to roll back and forth. That would have been so awesome, but it’s just my imagination. Between the whole leather journals, the sea like themes, and the overall vintage vibe, I was definitely thinking something like 20,000 leagues under the sea type feel. This was very cool!
