- Autumn Leaves is a simple, lyrical tune that has always been a favorite of mine on harmonica and piano, so why not play it on both? I also did some reharmonization- hope it adds a little color to the start of this Fall season.
"The man with two Brains" is a nickname given to me years ago by someone who heard me play piano and harmonica simultaneously with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones- maybe Futureman (Roy Wooten) I think? Can't remember- it's a lot to live up to!

I don't know what's more impressive... the virtuosity on both instruments, the ability to play chromatically on the diatonic (still working on it, Howard... thanks for your courses at ArtistWorks), the gymnastics work making use of the WHOLE harp, or the fact that you are holding the harmonica in your RIGHT hand and playing piano with the LEFT!!!! When I try to play the two, I either need a rack or I need to hold the harp with the left and play the keys with the right.
Man, that's his left hand comping!
And all those flats and sharps are done without a slide. Humbling.

Great performance Howard !!! I'm going to give it a "try". Ok, I'll need a few months with my teacher I guess, but since he's a true fan of yours, it'll help !!! I have a question regarding SP20 covers on your MB. I play mostly SP20 and customised MB and I like both. One thing I don't like about the MB is their covers with to much logos and writing on them. Why do you do it ?
Thank you Dan. I use the SP 20 cover plates because they are closed on the ends, which helps get a darker sound.

This was a perfect rendition. Just perfect. Chick corea and Bobby Mcferrin had a nice version but this is better.
