The German word "Fernweh" describes the feeling of missing places you have never been to.
It is the opposite of homesickness because you don't long for home but for unknown lands and you feel the urge to pack your bags and just walk far, far away. It is the kind of feeling you get when you look into a sunset over a calm sea when you feel a warm breeze in your hair and you know that you are young and free and that there is still so much to discover.
It is a feeling I experience quite often but sadly there is no translation for "Fernweh" in any language.
But maybe we don't need a translation because this song translates it well enough into a language we all speak.
It's called 'wanderlust' in english and 'reislust' in dutch. Don't know for other languages, but these I do know.

This is an artist who takes full advantage of every instrument and note at his disposal... truly beautiful.
And is probably good too at sound designing stuff to fit in his piece for the echo-y stuff or the guy who was in charge of this department had to pretty good understanding of which mood he was trying to go for his song.

This song makes me think of Doctor Who, when the Doctor thinks of his companions, how he's changed them into soldiers, and how he's basically ruined their lives, like the dark side we never see. Especially Clara, this song, to him, is his goodbye to her.

Just ended the ''Your lie in April'' series listened to this song and after like 8 years since the last time I cried by a movie, I cried like a baby.
This song reminds me the sadness of being forgotten in the abyss and all men that had being killed in naval conflicts without choice since the people start to fight in the sea between them.

I think of a very small boat with sails silently gliding through a dark and foggy but calm sea.
sometimes something sharp hits the otherwise so soft feeling, and at the end i feel like lost souls are screaming of loneliness.
