Since i remember watching it and cried cus he died before they started filming if i remember right? It been while since i watched these so i am really enjoying the reactions
all the songs they did in this competition (more than a feeling, america, and still haven’t found what i’m looking for) were finns favorite but really corys favorite songs and this was a tribute to him in a competition after he passed. the 4 actors who we’re closest to cory that were still high school characters at the time, their characters (kevin (artie), jenna (tina), chord (sam), and darren (blaine)) all got lead solos in the songs. and the drumsticks at the end are finns, since finn would play drums in some numbers. this is probably one of the last decent episodes in the 5th season edit: yall, it’s not that deep this is just what i’ve seen a lot of people say. i understand caring about cory and finn but getting his favorite songs wrong is not ruining how people see him 🙃
It has never been stated by anyone from the show that these were Cory's favorite songs. His favorite band was Radiohead. People assume these were his favorites but it has never been confirmed. I could see the coming to America would've been an imagined favorite song of Finn's song for sure
When Carole says "They're all his favourite songs," it hits me every time, RIGHT IN THE FEELZ! And Chord Overstreet (Sam) was about 25 in this, so totally appropriate! Those are Finn's drumsticks he's holding aloft. A lovely tribute to their castmate.
Cory Montieth was a drummer in real life. He even auditioned playing the drums because he was not a singer. Since Cory was a drummer the show incorporated that into his character so that is why Finn sometimes played the drums. As others have mentioned they were performing Finn's favorite songs for this competition to pay tribute to him (the character but also to Cory which is the reason for the drum sticks). Tina, Artie, Sam and Blaine are all Seniors here and all were his friends so that is why they did the quartet.
Tina/Jenna is just so versatile, she can sing any genre and in any style. That's the reason many of her fans were so frustrated to Glee producers for not showing case her talent properly. And the worst part about it the producers sometimes directed Jenna to sing bad or not as good as the others while in fact she can do it, even better. Her first big solo (Tonight), she blew the last note as if only Rachel can do it. It's just G5 note, it's not a big deal for Jenna lol
I still get teary eyed when Sam raises those drumsticks 🥺. This is an underrated performance, love that this is tribute to Cory/Finn,always gets me emotional. Sam's vocals are out of this world, Tina absolutely just belting out, and those beautiful harmonies from all of them! Would love to see you react to more of Sam's performances especially his duets with Rachel!
I wasn't prepared for the tears because I had forgotten they did this in honor of Finn. The clips of Finn and all the characters' moments with him makes me fully cry, tears running down my face now. This is such a good performance and song as well! They all sound so good!
Finn meant a lot to all of them, especially the four of them and Mr Shue. But Finn and Sam had a special bond.... I could feel the emotion as he sings🥺🥺
The drumsticks are in memory of cory/finn the whole set list of there songs at that competition was a tribute to cory/finn they did all his favorite songs thats y in in that song u reacted to they had flash backs of him in it. They were remembering him. The leads in the song (artie, tina, sam , blaine , ) all m were the closest to him u really should react to the rest of that competition
Really happy you did this one BUT you don't have the emotional context of the song, and it makes the scene a thousand times better trust me! It's hard not to cry whenever I watch this 🥺
If you're looking for more Sam, his fire & rain duet with Artie and his heroes duet with Blaine are two of his other best songs!!! He didn't get nearly enough solos but he has some great moments in group songs and a lot of wonderful duets, but those two are (imo) his best
I love this episode bc it guest stars Skylar Astin & is like a second tribute to Finn/Cory. Skylar does a great performance of Mr Roboto & Counting Stars
Sam does a great job stepping into Finn's shoes in this performance, it's a great tribute. I haven't seen beyond the first season and The Quarterback episode, but even I can pick that up!
Sam's super cute; but I am totally team Blaine! Is is just way to pretty for words and his voice makes me melt every time I hear it. I love them as a team though. Their friendship is my favorite on the show! Also, Jenna is SO underrated as a singer! She should have gotten a lot more solo's, then she was given. Her voice is beautiful and like Lea, she was on Broadway as a child. But she never really got her due on Glee.
ok so finn/cory wasnt only singing in the show you will see him drumming a lot too so this song was a tribute to finn/cory and sam holding up finns drumsticks is a homage to him as well i hope i explained this correctly.
At the beginning, Carole tells Burt that these were FINN'S favorite songs, not hers. This was a tribute to Finn. Hence, the drumsticks. You missed the whole tone of this.
You should do a video on the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer "Once More, With Feeling". It was one of or the first musical episodes ever, And is still the best musical episode. Also just so you know the gut that plays Spike (The blonde vampire) is faking his accent, while singing. the actor (James Marsters) is American doing a fake English accent, next to a real accent actor Anthony Head as Giles.
The new kids are from after Finn, Rachel, Kurt, Mercedes, Santana, and Puck graduated. Unique, Ryder Jake, Marley, and Kitty. Tribute to Corey Monteith/Finn. One of my favorite Glee performances and I agree it was Sam's best, although I like Something Stupid with Brittney and Baby, I've Had the Time of My Life and Lucky with Quinn, too.
thanks for reacting to this great song. please react to more songs by Sam, (chord overstreet) he has very few solos, but great duets with Blaine and Artie... he has a really special voice and great performances that glee didn't know how to appreciate. there are also his songs like Hold On and many more, he is a great artist
I am watching this on my lunch break (wfh) and thought it'd be a nice entertainment while eating... and here I am crying when te 4 OGs are singing alone... How am I suppossed to get into 2 meetings back to back in 15 minutes?
I was Team Sam from the day he showed up. He is the purest character because even if he does make a few mistakes, he at least owns them and is so sweet and just effortlessly charming. He and Blaine really upped the cast when they joined (and I was BEYOND excited when they became best friends in Season 4). While there is no silver lining to Cory's death, the only real silver lining to Finn not being a character was that it allowed for them to really expand upon Sam's character and make him the leader he was meant to be. Also his voice was underrated... his whole family is full of singer/songwriters (his father was Paul Overstreet and his brother is in Hot Chelle Rae and his name is Chord and has a sister named Harmony so it was sort of built into him lol)
It sounds like you like Sam, so you should check out best days of my life with Sam and Blaine. It's one of my favorite duets from them. Sam, Tina, Artie, and Blaine sing ALOT more in seasons 4-5. I love it. However, I want you to check out Jake, Rhythm Nation or Never Say Never.
react to movng out by billy joel you are gonna love sam and blaine there... about that song awesome and amazing perormance the best tribute .... i always cry, sam is such a sweetheart there same as chord overstreet

The drum sticks that Sam was holding were Finn's this is season 5 if i remember correctly when the actor who was Finn unfortunately passed away
Since i remember watching it and cried cus he died before they started filming if i remember right? It been while since i watched these so i am really enjoying the reactions
You should do hoist the colors and my mother told me from voice play
You should hear Mercedes version of I’ll stand by you it was her tribute to Finn
That always makes me cry she's talented
Even after all this time, I still getting teary eyed about Finn/Cory. The drum sticks was for Finn.
That makes me cry. I miss all three of the cast who passed on…deeply.
I agree
Me too
its kinda funny how audrey doesn't really know the context of this number and is just happy bopping along meanwhile im crying my eyes out
Literally still sobbing 😭💔😭💔
Right me too and I just woke up 20 minutes ago
same :(
Same, the god damn drumsticks at the end 💔💔
Right wait till she see the show episode and figures it out.
Jenna NEVER got the respect she deserved. She is a professional, quality, Broadway caliber actress/singer. LOVE HER

@@rominacanelo yes they were Finn's favorites. I was saying they weren't necessarily Cory's favorite songs they were never confirmed to be
I was just about to say this.
@@annemariecronen9096 ahora entiendo, perdón

"I did my best Mr. Shue, I did my best". That's the line that gets me.

This song was for Finn(Corey) after he passed, the drum sticks were in memory of him. 😢
No matter how many times I watch this, I cry.
Miss you always, Cory. ❤️
These were Finn’s (Cory’s) favourite songs, too - extremely special. ❤️👑🎶
It’s so beautiful that the four soloists were the ones closest to Cory and this was one of his fave songs ever. I adore all five people so much!
Same has drum sticks because that song is about Corey since he plays drums and u can tell it’s about him all of the memories they shown
that is one of my favorites songs to sing. Thank you so much for putting this on youtube do more to come.
This is a great example of how underused and underappreciated Jenna Ushkowitz (and so many other great actors and singers) was on the show...
I wasn't prepared for the tears because I had forgotten they did this in honor of Finn. The clips of Finn and all the characters' moments with him makes me fully cry, tears running down my face now. This is such a good performance and song as well! They all sound so good!
If you didn’t know, they dedicated their set list to Finn, who died earlier this season
10 seconds into this video and I start crying😭😭. The amount of emotions from this song is outstanding ❤❤❤
Finn meant a lot to all of them, especially the four of them and Mr Shue. But Finn and Sam had a special bond.... I could feel the emotion as he sings🥺🥺
(Sam) Chord Overstreet's song Hold On is great. Recommend listening.
I think gleks deserved more harmonies from these four... they sound anazing together

You should react to ‘fire and rain’ they did it during the Finn memorial episode in season 5 so I’m sure you’d love that one too! Sam and Artie
My god that’s one of my favourite songs anyway but I always SOB
If you're looking for more Sam, his fire & rain duet with Artie and his heroes duet with Blaine are two of his other best songs!!! He didn't get nearly enough solos but he has some great moments in group songs and a lot of wonderful duets, but those two are (imo) his best
Tina, Artie, Sam y Blaine 👏👏👏👏Darren soy tu fan 😍😍😍
AHHHH I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE DOING THIS ONE!!!! IT'S SO GOOD!!!!! AHHH IM SO EXCITED!!!!!
I AM DEAD @ 1:23 HAHAHAHAHAHA - LOVE THE EDIT
the drumsticks that sam was holding were finns!! the whole set list was dedicated to finn cos this was after he passed😭🥺
The drumsticks were Finns drumsticks for when he played drums
I love their version of this song! Sam really did shine so bright here. I listen to this when I need to get encouraged and hyped up lol.
PLEASE DO MORE THAN A FEELING
It was to honor Finn after he died , Finn played the drums
Chord Overstreet (Sam) sounds like his father in this song, country legend Paul Overstreet.
This was Finn's legacy. He brought out the best in all of them...eventually...or something like that.
This is one of my favourite Glee covers! The four of them sound so good together
I love this episode bc it guest stars Skylar Astin & is like a second tribute to Finn/Cory. Skylar does a great performance of Mr Roboto & Counting Stars
Best Cory tribute! RIP!
They are Finn's drumsticks. These performances are all songs Finn loved.
Sam does a great job stepping into Finn's shoes in this performance, it's a great tribute. I haven't seen beyond the first season and The Quarterback episode, but even I can pick that up!
They are Finn's drum sticks this song was for Finn
This was an incredible tribute to Cory Monteith here, commemorating his character as well as who he was ❤
It's a tribute to Corry since they were his fave songs
♥️ so much love! ♥️
Their entire set of songs during the episode was dedicated to Finn, Sam was holding Finn’s drumsticks at the end
It was all of Finn/Cory's favorite songs and they were his drum sticks.

Drumsticks to honor Finn (Cory Monteith) after he passed away. That scene makes me cry every single time.

I still remember when I first watched this episode. I was NOT prepared emotionally.
The guy who plays sam has a couple of hit songs in real life 🎵

I still cry during most of the stuff about finn/Corey after this. On another note you should react to Unique singing If I Were A Boy.
It’s okay if you don’t wanna go to far ahead, but I was wondering if you could react to “Be Okay” sang by Lea and Naya I love their cover
I'm not crying you are

the drumsticks were finn's since this was dedicated to him
I’d suggest a Jake and Marley duet… Either A thousand years or their Britney Spears mash up
Yessss or just jakes ‘“let me love you’
OMG THIS
I suggest "i lived" from the last episode ?
The drumsticks represent Cory Monteith's character Finn Hudson and Cory cause he played drums on the show!
thanks for reacting to this great song.

this one still makes me WEEP… especially when they drop out all the backing to go acapella. then the drum sticks 😭😭😭😭😭
The fact that Disco Inferno was used in this video you need to react to Mercedes Disco Inferno
Chord overstreet (Sam) wrote and sang the song "hold on" for cory monteith (finn)
Sam brought the choir out like his wife Mercedes 😂😂😂😂
Chord overstreet - hold on
That's sam and that's a great song
Chord Overstreet's father is i think his name is Paul Overstreet. He was a famous country music singer in the 80's and 90's. Sounds alot like his dad.
Not only don’t you recognize anyone, you haven’t experienced the BEST friendship on Glee (Fact!!)…Go Blam!!
You need to hear him sing red solo cup. I think you would enjoy the country twang of it all.
you should not be suprise that chord have country tgwang. his dad is country legend paul overstreer
Miss you forever Cory. I hope you are at peace in heaven and not troubled like here on Earth. Sorry we couldn't all help you 😞❤️
Sam song suggestions: Heroes, More Than Words, Fire & Rain
U should react to Emma/ms Phil’s bury in glee sing getting married today
You should react to his song Hold On! He wrote it for Cory

Trouty Mouth did great. Just saw him in Elvis a couple weeks ago. Great performance. Who knew?
Reel Glee fans know that this episod was a TRUE breath of air comparing to the seasons 5 quality as a whole....
Gurl you should do a reaction of Mr Roboto/Counting Stars.
OMG you have to react to "I know where I've been" cause alex newwell who plays unique its literally so good. His vocals are absolutely insane
I just heard Naya singing “Guppy Facceeee” after she said trouty mouth 😂
Rip Finn we miss you ❤
Drumsticks in tribute to Finn ……you aren’t there yet. :)
Please react to psycho red velvet and tell about their vocal techniques
Audrey doesn’t k ow what she’s about to see, maybe the 5th season is not the best, but back in 2014 this chapter really touched me.
you need to do a reaction to hopelessly devoted to you it’s so good
You need to react to glee song let me love you
Can you please react to glee more than a feeling too?
