My old stomping grounds from 1984 to 1987..Love this country and the people so many great memories..planning in a couple years moving there..the only country I have ever known to be relaxed and enjoyed it..miss the people, ladies, beer, and mostly the beaches..oh and the market have ex sister in law who has table there for clothes..here and in San Antonio..
My home port was here from 1962 to 1966, I served, played here, and deployed from here all over the far east including Viet Nam. I loved Olongapo like no other place in the world. I learned to speak Tagalog and wanted to become a citizen, but was sent back to the U.S. after my time in the service ended. I've always regretted not staying. This place felt like my real home! Of course, it was nothing like what I'm looking at now!! Clark, BM3 USN
