- First of all we determine what is good and what is bad in our own ways
Let me try to explain why this is in my opinion a good ending:
Asher - letting Asher stay alive is the best choice because it will be stupid of him to come all the way back to Westeros just to die like in 5 minutes, letting Rodrik sacrifice himself is an honor act because he did everything he could for the family and now he's leaving it in Asher's hands, you guys need to understand that Lord WhiteHill is afraid of Asher because he knows that he's strong and he's capable of everything and trying to Marry Gwyn is a smart Act, we all know that we don't have the army to even fight the battle against the WhiteHills so trying to destroy them from the inside is the best, you can see that at the ending Gwyn is with us and Gryff is dead and Lord whitehill is alone and the family fell apart. I hope Gwen will help us in the second season against her father. *p.s*: I think doing everything we can to please Khaleesi will help us greatly because we all saw the last season of Game of Thrones and we need her help.
Mira - she might still help us in the second season and I know killing Tom is a bad choice but you have to do everything you can to survive and help your family (especially in Game of Thrones) Mira is alive and that's what is important , being honest with Tyrion and letting Sarah Mary might help us in the second season but I guess we'll see.
Gared - Still don't know if going with the ritual is the best choice because Cotter was our friend and we want Sylvi to be on our side and of course we're trying to romance her so yeah we need that lol, but going back to house Forrester is a good choice because house Forrester needs all the help they can get after what happened and you have to agree.

I’m so flustered with this game. Best part when Asher was supposed to gather an army and he shows up with like 5 people

It was more like twenty but yeah it was stupid, Daenerys should've given him part of the second sons, the unsullied, the rest of the second sons she doesn't give him, and dragons were more than enough to defend Meeren, the Forrester's would've had a much better chance with the second sons.
The biggest joke is that no matter if you please Daenerys or not, she will never give you the Second Sons. Basically, you're always screwed, no matter what - and the fact Asher's uncle stays behind in Essos to secure the Targaeryan alliance means nothing now that we know Daenerys is to become the Mad Queen once she makes it to Westeros. I'd still love to find out what would happen to House Forrester in season 2.

Well at least their house survived to fight another day. The Starks would be proud, seeing they went through the same.
Also most likely the Starks will help all the other houses retake their lands if taken, eventually restoring the Forrester seat of Ironrath.

That's why it shouldn't get another season. As it stands now all that is going to be left is Gerald at the end of the game while evryone else is dead. A game shouldn't make you feel powerless just ebcause the writers summed up the entire GoT with "Everyone dies!". HBO has zero clue how to make a good video game.

I hated margaery so much in that game ... I'm pretty much sure she wiped her ass clean with Mira's mother letter and did not tried to help her at all. In this game, cersei is less a bitch than her considering she was the only person who truly helped Forrester in King's landing.

That was exactly my issue with Margaery. Hence, why I decided to forge the letter to Glenmores on my first playthrough. I figured she's only ever concerned for herself and keeps her interests as top priority - as most people in King's Landing do, but at least Cersei and others are open about it and they don't sweettalk people or give them false promises. She treats Mira kindly in episode 1, but that's only because she needs Mira to calm Cersei down. Once Mira does her part, Margaery fails to help Mira until the very end, and always uses her position as the future Queen as an excuse for why she has to be careful and why she can't help Mira. It's bullshit.

See one of the hings that's always bothered me about this game is that marrying Gwyn is 'betraying your house'. You're fighting a battle near-impossible to win, and you're given the option to marry Gwyn and merging the houses together. When Ludd dies (cause he eventually will), that could give Asher the opportunity to take control again and the Forresters could return to power. As it's brought up in story, Gwyn and Gryff's brothers have all fucked off, and Gryff doesn't have the balls to lead his house. To quote Togugawa Ieyasu, 'slow and steady wins the race'.
Goldsbro, The Silver Gallade yeah I had a similar idea. Although when I played the game, I was fairly up with the idea as I believe it was mentioned how the Foresters were outnumbered 10 to 1. Although I hated Ludd for killing Rodrik, I was a realist and knew odds. I reluctantly agreed with the plan since Frazier things have happened. When the pre feast scene happened, I was determined to make sure they would suspect nothing. Yet when Gwen didn’t believe that Asher has changed, I panicked and for a brief few seconds internationally promised nothing would happen. After Gwen left I snapped and realized what I’ve done and felt soooooooo guilty of lying to her. So when the option cane to go with the plan or not, I decided to call it off, mainly about 70% or more due to meaningfully make a promise to then be forced to break if I went through. About 30% was realizing if I bit that bullet, nobody had to die.
After new telltale got reinstated, there’s a small small chance a season 2 might happen. Although with how the show ended creates how shall we say, “issues”. If there was ever to be a season 2, switching it so it’s aligned with books would be best. It’s not a crazy idea. From personally reading them and comparing Telltales Game of Thrones, only minimal changes would needed to be made in order to alternate show to books, a slight difference in characters here, add 8 more wierwood trees there, a few other minor thing there and that’s it
Well, this happens between Season 3 and 4 of GoT. So that means the Boltons are still in power.

Its kind of impossible to feel satisfied with any ending haha.... this is GoT. But Beshka saving Ryon either way is amazing. Beshka MVP, guys!! I hope the new company that retook telltale's games can pick this up too... this is very well done.
I love this game. It deserves the title of game of thrones. It is just as emotional and exciting as the game of thrones series. The forester family is one of my absolute favorites alongside the stark family. I love all characters but my absolute favorites are Garret, Talia, Asher and Mira. I don't hope that one day they will release a 2 season. They are currently working on wolf amon us 2 and after that they want to work on batman season 3, 2 of my absolute top telltale games. Then who knows maybe continue with game of thrones. I tell you people don't give up hope. Iron from the ice !!!

After the Battle of the Bastards, the Starks reign over the North again. Jon will help you in Season 2 to fix things if Rodrik is alive. And with Asher alive, Danny will help you in Season 2. It felt like the Stark Way with Rodrik and how he handle things and with Asher alive, it felt like the Targaryen Way how he handle things.

Telltale was like a talented fan girl that started writing multiple fanfictions on different movies/games/and shows, but then got tired of writing over the years and never finished any of them. It's sad...
Did anyone figure out why TellTale had to end it all? Was it money or something? I feel like people liked their games enough.
Know I'm a bit late, but I have the answer. Telltale is a good company and their games are unique. But they took on too many projects at once and the quantity of content took priority over quality of content. Many people got fed up over the years because they felt the choices they made never truly mattered as it always led to the same scripted event in the end and the quality going downhill was like the final straw for a lot of people. Anyone could see it would happen eventually. It was just a matter of time.

They pride their games on players allegedly being able to tailor the game to the way they play but it doesn't happen, you are forced to play the story the way it was written and the deaths that happen cannot be changed unless a character has the determinant status which almost always leads to said character dying later on with no way to save them a second time
You also have to contend with how often the story railroads you into something that you don't want to do or railroads players into making a choice that then becomes irrelevant the following episode, a prime example of this is begging malcom not to go to Essos but by the next episode he's going regardless
TTG went bankrupt for several reasons, their railroading games is one of said reasons
I played with Rodrik and Royland helped me at the end because i spared his life in episode 5
I did not spare him because I don't think traitors deserve to live
Tbh with Rodrick as Lord while Royland as sentinel and Duncan as tratior seem like a good ending. Let's say in episode 5 Let Rodrick behind Royland say take as many with you But don't kill Duncan in episode 5 , to me Royland real death in episode 6 fit well since he want kill the whitehill too and Duncan at the end look like he regret trying make peace with the enemies.
Justin 21 That was my ending, kept Rodrik alive even though that was a tough descision, I wanted to see him have the satisfaction of winning the war and killing the whitehills. I chose Royland as my sentinel because he came across as someone who wouldn't take any shit, kinda like Stannis, whereas Duncan seemed very week, sort of like Renly. And I definetly didn't stay down for gryn, or kiss his fathers ring, I don't see why people would

I think Rodrik is the better long-term decision. Assuming they took Ironrath back or defended it well, Asher would let it fall to ruin without guidance. Rodrik is a trained lord, and it’s fairly clear he has regained all his strength. I also think the small folk would rally better towards Rodrik than Asher because Asher hasn’t been their for a while and Rodrik is their known lord (and he’s quite bold, brave and proud. At least in my play through.) Also I much preferred the arc of Rodrik regaining his strength and defeating his enemies.

Its been so long I made 2 playthroughs one with Asher then one with Rodrik so that I'd be able to play through the hopeful next season.
That said Mira i feel even if you kept her alive would probably only make a small cameo if there was a season 2 being a determinant character. Shoot the ending made half the cast determinant actually

Also Mira alive is not that good of a thing: being married to that bastard she would be imprisoned and dead anyways so at least she can die with dignity screaming Iron From Ice and avoid being an object.
Rodrik is the best choice because according to Ramsey's terms the last lord standing wins so if you choose rodrik and kill ludd instead of gryff, You win! Best ending.

I just finished the game and it was my first telltale game. In my opinion it was amazing and it definitely felt like game of thrones because nothing good was to happen. My playstyle at the in was "Cunning Strategy" which I thought would be best in the game of thrones setting but like the TV show, nothing good ever happens 😂😂

Letting Gryff Whitehill beat Rodrik in the mud in Ironrath is a mistake, you need the smallfolk behind you as well as your fighting men. If they see / think your weak they'll abandon you at a second's notice. Stand up to Gryff and they'll see you can stand your ground and will follow you.
That's what i chose to do regarding Gryff, though I did go a but overboard in episode 4 by jabbing his eye out with the cane but the shit had it coming.
It doesn’t change nothing
It seems to me that episode six was rushed as the company filed for bankrupcy. I also realised some were not options at all as no matter what you do Britt dies the exact same way, Rodrik does NOT pacify Gryff no matter what and has no option to let him get away with the spanking of the priest (what is kind of odd if you chose to submit to him before) Mira is also kind of hard to believe since even if you do not kill the guard it seems it saves as if you did.
Also there does not seem to be a way of avoiding the emprisionment of Gryff, did I already mentioned that? And ramsays (actually very forgiving reply to Rodrik(!) to a character known for its brutal sadism) reaction. High treason gives death penalty to someone even in our culture.
But the death of the guy who slaughtered Tuttle's family at the wall is the most obvious flaw and broke completely the immersion on a game I was loving, because even if you kick him (what would have left a bloodstain along the fall with any unrecognisable traits at the bottom) or hit his arm instead, his body misteriously appears with a sword on the chest. If Telltale had not the reputation of overworking their staff I would have said that was lazy game design. Not to say their usual "will remember that" that are never remembered.
Well I got a excuse for Ramsey snow. In the show Ramsey's mother told him to never harm cripples.

They didn’t. They didn’t have the men to support Jon because most of their army were killed in the red wedding and House mormont has more men to offer. All the banners in the battle were shown ( mormont, hornwood, mallister ) along with stark soldiers and wildings but it would’ve been cool though.
Trump of Rivia .... the Forresters don't have a presence in the show even if they have the men, we didn't see them in any of the seasons or the red wedding so where is your point, i personally think they will have a presence
cameron artima doesn’t matter if they weren’t shown in the show the telltale game is cannon and some forresters made an appearance in one of the books. They will have no presence in the BOB because all the banners in the battle were already mentioned and shown and the remainder of their men were slaughthered by the whitehills.
every body got all happy about the walking dead being saved but what about this it was really good and I hate where never gonna get another season and dot get me started on the wolf among us

I don’t think all is lost. As I remember an article mentioning how Telltale 2.0 said getting back some of their IPS isn’t out of the question but isn’t a current priority.
As TWAU S2 is their main priority. IF it sells well, it could be a green light to get their GoT license back. It wouldn’t be that far of a stretch as Telltale’s GoT is really the best game from the GoT brand. Games prior were just cash grab tie in games, and subsequent games were mobile just your generic crappy mobile games.
The only major problem I see is if they are going to continue to follow the show. Because seasons 5-8 completely derailed from the books. Or will they follow the books?
Personally I’d follow the books but it could be spined to be “what if the show was the books, Tysha reveal onwards.” As House Forrester is mentioned in the books. Essentially after Stannis takes Deepwood Motte, Sybelle Glover sends Forrester scouts to aid Stannis on his march south to Winterfell.
Now I’m not the writing team for Telltale but season 2 could easily be aligning with other smaller houses to beat back the Whitehill’s. With the development of Stannis told here and there throughout the season. Maybe even eradicating every member of House Whitehill as an option (it could be said they helped with the Red Wedding). Mira is a bit more ify as she can die. So idk if having 2 different storylines with Mira/ Tom is worth it or just having them be mentioned off screen is better. Development time and all.
Then season 3 is House Forrester and the other minor Houses that helped House Forrester determine what to do. Seeing the Bolton’s dwarf their own numbers and the losses taking down House Whitehill, wether completely for or “just to boot out the Bolton’s”, you align or follow House Glover in assisting Stannis taking back Winterfell. Possibly add the northern conspiracy theory in the season for good measure. Collimating in the Battle of Ice. Which would be a nice send off as seeing how Ramsay screwed your House in season 1 episode 1.
This is just the summery version of events I’ve been kicking around of what a potential season 2-3 could look like.
As of this moment, TWD seasons 1-4 are back up on platforms. So I see this as a step in the right direction.
I like Rodrik a lot more than Asher, but I had to let him die at the gates because the way I'd played Rodrik made it so there was no way he'd leave Asher behind. Especially after he came all this way.
If duncan be traitor and you spare him, duncen will save rodrik lifes in the ending with talia

I almost can't see Gared in a season 2, at least if you chose to defend the North Grove. My guess is that(depending on your choices) you'll end up following Beskha or Mira in place of him, perhaps both. I could see her and Ryon having an Ayra-Hound sort of relationship.
I think a second season would have had Gared leave the North Grove regardless, either through choice or some plot device that forces you to leave

I am willing to write and fun a new season of GOT. The story is too good to be forgotten. I would have loved to see them fight in the Battle of the Basterds. This is a good way for D&D to owe it up to the fans after a controversial final season.
I played it again and i saved finn, mira, and elena. I really hope they continue this game.

@@RodrikforresterIFC If you refuse Finn to go with Cotter and Gared, then yes. He will stay with the Night's Watch and not die. Or if you have a bad relationship with Finn up to this point, then this scene and this choice will not be, which means Finn is in the Night's Watch and will not die either.

I wish we will get something in the future
I think it’s better for Mira to die because (possibly) could become some kind of martyr, because it’s clear some small folk believe she was innocent, and I think it’s better to show as much strength as possible, and a shriveled up wife (that’s essentially a slave) isn’t a good way to show strength.
As strange as it may sound to you, this game is the reason I started watching the series.
It was so mystical to me when I started playing it. I didn't know what the game was about or who the characters were. The first 4 seasons I finished before starting the show.
And to this day, I still prefer the game to the actual series.

Same i played this game first and then watched the show.
If the game was based on the novels, Asher/Rodrick could go into hiding with the northern clans until Stannis shows up and asks for support against the boltons. Then, the remaining Forresters would march on Highpoint with the Mannis. Sweet revenge for the Forresters, and king's justice from Stannis.
But this is based on the show, and its quality dropped significantly since they ran out of source material. I want a second season, but with so many different endings, it's more likely telltale would start fresh, like they did with new frontier.
@Jon Snow Jesus, what the crawled up your ass and died? The pure quality of content and plot is on another complete level in the books, and when the Series had the books as guidance. For example, Westeros has over 1 000 Noble Houses, and in the books we get to read about quite a few of them, they are always there in the background, being part of the universe. In the show we have maybe 20 Houses of worth, the rest are forgotten or do not exist it seems.

Once, only once do I wish to play a game like this where the world is not stacked against me and I am the one killing of others at my leasure, command a powerful army and enforce my will on the world.
I always feel like many story games put you in difficult positions but always use a very similar basic concept; take someone who is close to loosing everything and then grant them a tightrope and a stick to maneuver their fate through a world full of traps.
I think for writing a book or a movie this works very well because there you follow someone else's story and it is a great feeling to make a right choice or a bad one with consequences in general but I would like for a few of these titles to try something that's new. Even titles like Detroit: Become human which is famous for its freedom of choice was very interesting but still used the same principle.
Why can't we be the hunter instead of the hunted, just to mix things up because the next terrible event puts us in control of a falling, burning plane...

I hope with the end of GOT tv show they will make the second game i loved it more then the walking dead game.
It won't happen, mainly because how shitty was the first season's end. That's a paradoxe, because people were so disapointed with the ending that the game was critized a lot, and telltale did not wanted to take the risk of a making a sequel, which in my opinion was their original plan.
Actually i kinda feel they did'nt knew where to go with that game, and they made too many outcomes to have a respectful sequel but not enough to have
decent ending.

Duncan was my sentinel, I beheaded Royland, on the last episode Duncan falls to the ground and I thought he was going to die like the last 2 times.
He came back with Mira, meaning he got out of the middle of a battle. Makes him more badass the Royland.
but the same thing happens to royland if u choose him as sentinal and kill the traitor and if gwyn stabs asher

Margery is so selfish : yet really enjoyed the game of got ; stronger writing than season 8
Well, she was manipulative and cunning. She yearned to be the Queen more than anything and would damn well do anything to achieve her goals. The only love she has is for her family, that’s it. She puts herself and her family first before others and does whatever she can to strengthen her house and position. She may genuinely like some others and feel bad about them but if they were in terrible danger and it would cost her position or one of the other Tyrells’ position, she would only shed a tear when they die. Margaery may have cared about certain others like Sansa or Tommen but she only cared to an extent where either it would suit herself or if it wouldn’t affect her position.
If you made all the good choices house forrester will be saved and regained here’s why:
1. Malcolm is on the side of Dany now and we know after she liberated Meereen she goes to Westeros so he’s got the Targaryen’s as allies
2. Gared marches north with a warg, and an army of magic controlled freaks
3. Most of the family is safe or alive atleast, Ryon with Beshka, Talia, Asher, Mira, Royland and Gwyn so it’s a start to a rebuild of house forrester.
4. Once they are all together they’ll be able to take on the Boltons and the Whitehills with the help of dany and gared
i have a feeling the small child that was held prisoner will be the last one left.
And he will avenge his families deaths it's building up to that point i could be wrong.
Never watched game of thrones or played it but this small child have seen a lot and i believe he has learned from his familes mistakes.
i feel he will take them down in a smarter way they will never see it coming.

You know there was a lot I liked about this game and a lot I didn’t. I liked almost all the characters and some of the ideas were interesting but in some areas the game didn’t make sense or felt rushed. Also the lack of meaning with our choices really sucked because GOT is all about how consequences of actions no matter how noble can lead to death if you aren’t smart not just everyone dies. It felt like no choice really mattered because it would always be a shit consequence like for example having sir royland and Duncan always be a traitor depending on your choice was frustrating at least if only one one of them was set to be the traitor it would have led to more variation in gameplay and felt like something mattered. God I don’t know why I’m ranting I know no one cares what I say about this game but I guess I had to get it out of me so to sum it up it was an ok game but it could’ve been better.
I liked the first season but I know that in the second one it won't matter what you chose, I wish Telltale would actually put some work in these and kinda make 2 or more different games depending on your choice, but it will never happen

Let me try to explain why this is in my opinion a good ending:
*Asher* - letting Asher stay alive is the best choice because it will be stupid of him to come all the way back to Westeros just to die like in 5 minutes, letting Rodrik sacrifice himself is an honor act because he did everything he could for the family and now he's leaving it in Asher's hands, you guys need to understand that Lord WhiteHill is afraid of Asher because he knows that he's strong and he's capable of everything and trying to Marry Gwyn is a smart Act, we all know that we don't have the army to even fight the battle against the WhiteHills so trying to destroy them from the inside is the best, you can see that at the ending Gwyn is with us and Gryff is dead and Lord whitehill is alone and the family fell apart. I hope Gwen will help us in the second season against her father. *p.s*: I think doing everything we can to please Khaleesi will help us greatly because we all saw the last season of Game of Thrones and we need her help.
*Mira* - she might still help us in the second season and I know killing Tom is a bad choice but you have to do everything you can to survive and help your family (especially in Game of Thrones) Mira is alive and that's what is important , being honest with Tyrion and letting Sarah Mary might help us in the second season but I guess we'll see.
*Gared* - Still don't know if going with the ritual is the best choice because Cotter was our friend and we want Sylvi to be on our side and of course we're trying to romance her so yeah we need that lol, but going back to house Forrester is a good choice because house Forrester needs all the help they can get after what happened and you have to agree.

Well I doubt Asher as a lord because Rodrick is a lord of the house and his death means Foressters defeat (acording to Ramsay and Ladd)

Since many people want season 2, other than the idiot in the comments who said this game was terrible and that minecraft story mode was better, we can all sign the many petitions for a season two in the hopes that the new company that are finishing and making telltale games will do it. Our odds are pretty low but who knows, maybe it'll happen
And a year later when GOT is truly over. None of the things even matter in the end. No one in kingslanding will survive. All the bad guys in the game will be dead in battle of basters.

As far as I know, some company bought the rights of TellTale and paid off their debts so you can still buy their games on Steam.
If we show that we have interest, they could pick up the game by hiring the old team as they would see profit in it.

If I were to write season 2 ryan would be the new main protaginist grown up and the story would take place fifteen years after iron wrath was destroyed and it would be whitehill territory now as the game would focus on ryan trying to defeat whitehills which are now run by either griff or ludd succesor and it would basically resolve everything but it looks like we will never be getting a sequel what a shame
the need to make this tale story games a lot more complex, make sure that your decision really have effects on the game, but instead whatever you do the story is almost the same.

As much as I loved this game, given how many different potential endings for the characters it has and given Telltale's track record, I doubt it would have lived up to what was set up. I mean you have Asher or Rodrik alive, either of their love interests with them or not, whichever person you didn't pick as your Sentinel possibly with you, Mira alive or dead, Ludd or Griff alive leading House Whitehill. That is too many story paths for them to commit too and would cost too much money to basically have every VA run through a whole second season.
Which really sucks because I think this was the best game they did next to Season 1 of TWD and maybe Wolf Among Us.
exactly. Very slim chance for second season because of all those paths and alternate endings AS WELL as having to find the same voice actors for all the different characters. It would have been promising though.. so probably in some book version maybe they will make it?

One year ago I was happy for the Forresters cause we know the starks are back and the Boltons, Lannisters are fucked in the series but god, we will never have season 2 and see this great family get justice :(
in the ending if season two were able to happen it would be great for ryon & possibly beskha & talia become the main protagonists years later or even with the other remaining characters to all return to be playable

This is categorically not the good ending, the closest you can get to a good ending is having Mira and Rodrik survive, kill Ludd instead of Gryff, kill the traitor so your sentinel survives (which should be Royland if you're having Rodrik survive), have Gared leave the North Grove and head back to ironrath as well as anything else that can help the forresters.
I disagree. Mira must die, because not only is such a "life" hell for her, but Morgryn will not get Ironrath. If Mira becomes his wife, then Ironrath and the trees will become his. And given the fact that if Ladd dies and Griff stays alive, then Morgryn will make it easy. About Rodrik. Honestly, it doesn't matter if the lord is dead or not. The victory of the war was that the last house should stand. Not a Lord, but a house. And the Lord is not the House. Therefore, I believe that it does not matter who is important for a good ending: Asher or Rodrik. I agree that Ludd's death would be more useful. About a traitor. I think the traitor ending is much better and more canonical. The Sentinel would not have survived in any way.There is even a mini-scene when a wounded Rodrik / Asher escapes on a horse, then you can see how a bunch of soldiers stand around the lying Sentinel and one comes up and kills him. This happens even if our Sentinel survives at the end. So the traitor ending makes more sense. The advantage of a traitor is that he is most likely the only one who knows the plans of the Whitehills and other things. Therefore, having it with you is much more useful than Sentinel. Duncan must also be the traitor. Because he is more suited to the role of traitor and that also means that the last member of the Gared family is still alive. He also knows about the Northern Grove and therefore it is possible to tell all the survivors: Talia and especially Asher. Also, for me, such duos make sense: Asher and Duncan, or Rodrik and Royland.
I still think this game is underrated and one of the best from telltale, hope it gets a sequel. This needs second season rather than The wolf one that one had perfect ending.
My criticism is that all the choices were really a loss ie choices of being killed or killing brother or Tom: yet loved that the youngest forester will act on revenge shame they didn't use this for season 2

I know there won't ever be a season 2. So this is my head Canon: Dany and Jon take the iron throne and put an end to the white hill house with the help of Malcolm. In turn saving Elena. So Rodrick and Elena end up ruling ironrath and restore it to it's former glory. Gared protects the north Grove with Sylvie and aids in the fight against the night king. And Mira gets saved and returned to ironrath
