    That's pretty amazing! being 14 and not able to drive yet im really bumbed i couldn't bird more on the first. But im also thankful that my dad was able to drive me out and get to see some! It was great! Although your day was nothing to compare to 62 birds is really amazing! i only got 21 birds.

      While the birds were cool to see, my favorite memory from the day is getting to hang out with Rob and Eric and have a big adventure. It's great that you got to spend time with your dad driving around! Often times, it's the people that make the memories and not just the birds :)

    What an amazing video! I have a question; what would be your number 1 tip for small birding channels who want to grow on RUclips?

    • @BadgerlandBirding
      @BadgerlandBirding  2 года назад +1

      Hey, River! My number 1 tip would be to make lots of content and see what connects with your viewers the most. There are a couple good channels on RUclips focusing on growth and this is one you may want to check out. -Derek

    That was awesome. I did the same thing here in North Florida. Plan was to get 100 species but ended the day with 96 species. Nice kickstart for the year. Least one Purple Sandpiper shows up here in Huguenot Park almost every winter, probably only place in Florida where they do come regularly and yes, they do like to hang out with Ruddy Turnstones. Great birding! 👍

    What an awesome day! So many of those birds, even the ones that are more common for your area would have been lifers for me. I just got a tripod for Christmas and have been putting it to good use. I think an unofficial New Year's resolution for me will be to do more birding.

      Hey Ryan, we use the Panasonic Lumix FZ80. At some point we will be posting a video review of it. It has great video capabilities and average photo capabilities for the price. We find it's good for hiking around as it's light weight and has a great zoom. If you're interested in it, this is our affiliate link for it. We get a small commission if you buy from it www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MS16V42/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B01MS16V42&linkCode=as2&tag=badgerlandb0b-20&linkId=d4d891eeb205a5a4f929e9fa0d6998d6
