Great video, keep ‘em coming man. The videos of people with expensive pots and stoves are cool, but I love seeing what can be done on a budget. Having fun in the woods doesn’t have to be expensive if you don’t buy into all of the gear obsession.
I would say if you have a Victorinox the vents can be made with the Awl or can opener (as a punch). The door does need a knife. But any knife over $25 should have a quality enough steel to handle the occasional cutting through tin
cool stove, efficient. heat exhausting from top vents onto the pan. think i'd go with a 20oz beef stew can for greater stability. thanks for the upload.
I just bought 2 of these mess kits for my twin granddaughters Walmart is selling them for $7.50 each. I use and like Hobo stoves. 😊thanks and take care 😊
Since you didn't wash the set before use, did the factory/store dust add any flavor to meal? I bought a couple of these years ago, just for the heck of it. Haven't used them yet.
So I am on super budget right now had to move and I picked this up and use this almost every night to cook with good for the price point

I am a modern day hobo and use this mess kit....and the hobo stove often..... Good video....
Thank you sir for what you do and your wisdom
Thank you for sharing and your hard work
You could put a brass metal Brillo pad in the bottom of can. This elevates twig fuel above area were air can come from underneath the fire box.
This is a nice video. It shows how things would actually go for most of us. A very honest representation. 👍🇺🇸
I appreciate it! Thanks for watching.
Bone apple tea, who says we Americans can't speak foreign languages. That's perfect Chinese right there. 😋
😂😂😂
Nothing wrong with cooking with a stick my friend. I have same kit and I love it. Great video. Thanks.
you really need one of those 'church key' can puncher/beer bottle openers and punch in triangular holes for airflow
I dig it,I want to try to make a larger one out of a #10 can,a guy could probably skillet cook or even grill with a small baking rack over the top
Absolutely man! I bet you could make a pretty sweet camp kitchen with a few bigger cans lined up.
Thanks for sharing a great video

If you use Walmart's water, does it boil faster!? Lol! Enjoyed the video thanks ATB Sam Adler from Vietnam
Gotta enjoy simple and effective 😎👍
I wanted to order one but it’s like $7.49 now with $8.00 shipping
👍🏻
