It was always funny to me that Dick Jones (Dick is short for Richard, somehow) scolded Clarence Boddicker "He records everything you say! His memory's admissible as evidence!" yet when Robocop went to Jones, he made his own confession to him right there in his office, before calling out ED-209, which Robocop then used in the conference room at the end of the movie to get Jones fired. I know he expected ED to win somehow, even though it had failed even basic tests before, but I'm sure they probably still could have pulled his recordings after he died, if only to see what happened to him. Weird he made the same mistake confessing to Robocop.
31:03 I've never seen anyone change their mind so quickly about what they just asked for. The action in this gets pretty gruesome.

The scene when Clarence spits the blood on the papers and asks for his phone call wasn’t actually in the script. He decided to do it, and he only told the director about it. I can understand why that is. This is a very original story and everything for the most part is spot on. Most of the Sci-fi genre has bad scripts, terrible special effects, cheesy acting and inexperienced directors. It's pretty much the exact same reasons why most slasher movies suck so bad. When all of those components are lined up perfectly. A movie isn't necessarily guaranteed to be a hit. But it can be regarded as a cult classic. Look at Scarface and Road House for example. Neither did well in theaters and now most people love to watch as often as possible.

When people like Alex Murphy and Anne Lewis are partners. They often do have that respect and yes even love. But it's not intimate love. It's more of the love you have for a friend or family member. It means you love that person for being apart of your life and you are grateful that they were. Throughout the lives of most people it's not often that you find other people that you are genuinely connected to on any level. When you are able to find such people it really matters when they are gone forever. Human connection is something that we can't get enough of.

I lost part of my leg in Vietnam and knew a lot of vets who had prosthetic limbs. Regardless of how much of our flesh and blood was replaced with artificial parts, I never considered any of us even the smallest fraction less human. Welcome to the greatest movie I ever watched on accident flipping through the movie channels on my cable box as a kid at age 13 randomly came upon this movie at the middle and now I love it to death it's ultraviolent alter ridiculous but an awesome storyline with heart and compassion built into one and such an '80s trip with cheese cheesy stuff in it interesting TV commercials mixed with the movie such a masterpiece I'm glad you enjoyed the movie

Hey, Magy. I loved “RoboCop” as a kid. I thought it was totally awesome. What I mostly like about this movie is it does had some cool stuff in it. The special effects was really impressive, making the camera as RoboCop uses a themogragh mode. Some of the things I liked about it, one, Murphy actually kills armed thugs in a drug factory, which is my favorite scene, two, he went to his house to remember in the past when his wife and son sold it and moved on, and three, one thing that I really care about is his personality. Murphy removed his helmet and looked himself in a mirror, and I was like, “Oh, my god. Is that Murphy?” That was a sad moment. I was a little surprised when I realized that Murphy and RoboCop are the same person. His life was over, but he must get revenge for those who killed him. Now I liked the sequels 2 and 3, thought. Like I said, “RoboCop” is still one of my favorite movies as the best sci-fi flick in the 80s, over 35 years now of my childhood over "The Terminator" and "Predator". Thumbs way up for me.
    RoboCop (1987) 4/4 👍👍👍👍

The film was shot in Dallas, TX. You can see the old First City Bank. I think it's Wellsfargo now. The one that looks like it's a twisted skyscraper.

I remember several years ago, showing this to a friend who had never seen it.... when the introduction of ED-209 goes SO wrong, my friend asked why they would have put real bullets into the thing before knowing it would work. I had to point out to him that the entire concept of ED-209 was corporate greed and ego that even if it doesn't work, they will STILL be able to sell it to the military knowing they can then spend the next decade (plus) doing "updates" at outrageous costs. He immediately then turned and went, THAT IS BRILLIANT.
Went from hating the scene to loving it within 5 seconds after having it broken down in terms he could understand.

The first RoboCop movie was a critic of the American society: hyper violent, too much guns, capitalism gone too far (the police was taken over by a private corporation). The second movie was just mindless violence.
3:52 "I wish I can talk like that so everyone is going to be listening to me." says the woman listened by thousands of people on RUclips. 🤣
32:12 that scene, that was a reference to Jesus walking on water.
If you rewatch it, pay attention to the music. When RoboCop started to patrol the city, the music was more mechanical, but when he started to regain his memory, the music became more instrumental.
