In the new city you could have them participating in an off-road race in like a forest near the farm or something. Also you could add license plates or decal stickers to the sides and back to make them look like off-road racers.
You should make some minifigs that look like Richard Hammond, jeremey clarkson and James may. They would be the perfect drivers. Maybe you could also add a sort of jeep for the camera crew.
As always, I love it, Robin. I have 2 suggestions for improvements. 1 - change the steering wheel to motorcycle handlebars to match the real one. 2 - instead of license plates on the back, place numbers on them. The rental company would give them designations to keep a maintenance record.
I think the air intake sloped back helps retain the semi aquatic look. Air intake forward gives them a more strictly land based look. Not sure if there are good colors for it but the 2x2 prow type plate used on canoe boat builds could be part of the hood. The kind of arching arms on it would help suggest the prow bit and boat shape.
For city placement, I would say near the rocky shore like by the blue bridge. The uneven terrain paired with water might make having a partially submerged vehicle viable. Like a water swell on a front corner that covers at least one wheel?
Robin, make your own custom Lego train as in buy a Lego train like the white RC passenger train and customise it into Robin Hood bricks colours that would be cool but it’s just a suggestion you don’t have to but I would like to see a new passenger train in the city as I’ve said before if you remember, thanks,🏹🏹🏹🏹✌️✌️😎🚂🚋🚋🚋🚝🚃🚃🚃
That late 80's Tower Truck was one of my favorite vehicles of that era precisely because of those shocks/axels. Thought it was a great thing Lego did with those. A very cool usage of those parts here, I like those designs of the ATV's!
I think it would be cool if you could make a scene of them in the process of being stolen off the wagon... perhaps with the LSP close behind? You also have two studs at the back, perhaps one side can be an arial and the other a flagpole?
I like the engine design on the first vehicle. The ribbed black piece and the four exhaust pipes gives me the idea that someone has used a beer cold Volkswagen engine.
Love these suspension axles! Have had 6648 Mag Racer since childhood, always loved those on that. I concur with others, a whip antenna would go great, could even fashion a sticker flag not unlike the Mag Racer did! As for a third colour, likely tan would be the easiest*. The cockpit piece is I think most common in tan, and the mudguard could be taken from Drome Racers set 8350 Pro Stunt. Just confirmed that the hinge tile also exists in tan!
Clip a signto the back bars, to show where they are headed, like an advert or property of sign. Also some have aweird middle bump that can be done by using an extra 2 by 2 plate in the middle, giving you back a little building room. If I had to guess why, the bump is for going in and out of water or something about the engine hook up.
Awesome 6x6 trucks! I love them! Great video as always, maybe you could put a microphone piece in the holes between the seats as a gear shifter. Also perhaps you could put some clips somewhere for a shovel or other tools?
Love the little builds, definitely think one should be putzing around off your beach, but you should also have a third one that has sunk all the way to the depths of the deep sea cabinet with little skeleton passengers.
The problem with watching videos like these where they mention the set number a part was from is.... i end up looking on ebay to see if there are any for sale. And then i end up a little bit poorer 🤪
Have one without wheels in the water, a second one either entering or exiting the water with only one set of wheels on land, a third one for rent on land with all of its wheels, and in that way there will be two suspension pieces left over to make a different four wheel vehicle.
Yay a build video!!!! 😃 I really like the 2 vehicles and it’s a great build. Yes I too think the wheels are fun to play with. 👍 I like the green one more but they both awesome colour schemes. Oh what to do with them for now? Just put it on a train - that is definitely right 😂. In Lego city 2.0 you definitely should build a third one in water. One more thing to make it better, add a flag on 1 of the free studs on the cockpit. 🤔 JJ F
You should build a third one crossing a river in your new LEGO city. Have that one and one of the built ones with tires about to enter the river and they are racing on a wooded trail. Maybe add antenna or flags on them.
You should look to add a 2x2 tile in the small gap behind the seats like Johnny Thunder’s map used to go. Quite what that should be I can’t be sure but you must have some stickers laying about that could be relevant!
Just for thoughts on better stability is add a 2x8 plate on the bottom of the 2x6 plate layer and maybe it won't look to weird and fix the build's stability also the engine block looks better the first way rather than the grey one but also have you thought of using a motor 2x2x1 1/3 piece for the engine, might look cool
You have the dark blue and dark red ones, still. So get cracking, Robin. O and Johnny Thunder and his gang, is back. I think you might like them. Microphone for the poke. Police stop signs with flat round bricks, as head rests.
Great build, the only thing is have you thought if replacing the engine block of the grey vehicle with a silver/chrome one, to match the silver on the sticker 🤔
@@RobinHoodBricks I was going to do something similar I seen a old British truck from from either ww1 or 2 that I wanted to make for my Johnny thunder figure but realized I suck at build trucks from scratch and didn't have the parts I needed to make it look right and then was watching mad max 2 and was like oh a ultra light type plane would be epic
Agreed. This was my suggestion, will also add to the off-road- ness being higher lift of chassis above wheels. 8x2 black plate above the existing black layer..
Instead of the semi-clunky designation 6WD-ATV-X2, what about ATV-A/6 (or 6/A)? It's just an idea. 🙂 EDIT-- And before anyone says it, I know it's his channel and he can call things whatever he wants.
Were I live in the next town over their police department and the border patrol both have similar vehicles they both used them more for aid in water rescue and recovering when people sadly went under or current carried them off they can get into the shallow back waters easier than the faster rescue boats but the air intake hood flipped backwards not forward bat nose looking looks more like it would have your speedometer or other gauges on it then a air intake
ROBIN HOOD BRICKS I NEED 2 WATCH U BUT U NEED 2 MAKE A CREW CAR 2 YOUR PASSAGER TRAINS LIKE I DID YESTERDAY ALSO U HAVE GAVE ME GOOD IDEAS 4 MY NEW PASSAGER TRAIN

the "banana splits" vehicles!! :)
Yes!
You should make some minifigs that look like Richard Hammond, jeremey clarkson and James may. They would be the perfect drivers. Maybe you could also add a sort of jeep for the camera crew.
They need big whip antennas.
You could run them through a river. Doesn't need to be on the beach.

2 - instead of license plates on the back, place numbers on them. The rental company would give them designations to keep a maintenance record.
08:58 maybe you putting 1 plate over the lenght, it bring the vehicle little big higher but also stronger. so that the wheels don't fell off.
The vehicles definitely need some way too large flags mounted on the available studs in the back…awesome build btw 😊

I'm not sure it makes a whole lot of sense for an amphibious vehicle to have a large air intake facing forwards. It might be fun to add a snorkel.
GOOD IDEA
Maybe you could get a windscreen piece with the cracks and wipers on it, like in 5978 (BrickLink part 30161pa1)
Great build as always. I think you should put there a motocycle steering instead of normal.
awesome lil builds.... connections on back of both sides can clip a toolbox or fishing gear...
nice use of the adventurers cab piece, I usually just build hot rods with them.
They would also look cool with the classic space ball tires.

Nice work, as always! 👍🏼
You should add a 2x8 plate for more strength. And on the top of the rollbar you could add some headlights 🤔
I was thinking the same. It would also give the wheels a little bit more space to move up.
Great job
Definitely a good idea using the same structure for an Argo in the water. Argos were originally made in 8 wheel format, and were invented in Canada.
Definitely 70s TV vibes from this. I grew up in the 70s so I should know. Who am I kidding. I never grew up.
A pizza delivery wagon for the cargo train could be fun
Love the build, such a fun use of the parts. Maybe you add a small aerial for a bit of extra height and detail on the ATV.
I like the engine design on the first vehicle. The ribbed black piece and the four exhaust pipes gives me the idea that someone has used a beer cold Volkswagen engine.

Snub nose front is for sure the way to go! I also agree with other suggestions that some kind of antenna would look great.
I kind of like the snub nose look; to me, it says, "Big, beefy engine with more power." 😀
Love these! The only addition I see is to add some interesting dots as door handles like a funny smile one etc.
Have one without wheels in the water, a second one either entering or exiting the water with only one set of wheels on land, a third one for rent on land with all of its wheels, and in that way there will be two suspension pieces left over to make a different four wheel vehicle.
The one in the water is a brilliant idea!
maybe you can add one of those old antenna with flag pieces to it?
Golf flags!
Yay a build video!!!! 😃
I really like the 2 vehicles and it’s a great build. Yes I too think the wheels are fun to play with. 👍 I like the green one more but they both awesome colour schemes.

Awesome looking vehicle! Great idea to have one in the water!!
I'm missing the drivers. Some tourists in the green and a military in the grey one (unless you put the cars on the wagon)
Ngl I think the back looks a bit blank. Maybe add some support thingy's on there perhaps?
Well, I think they need some one by four hazard-stripe plate behind the seats. 😁
A lot of potential for great scenes in the new city but yes, it’s better to wait a bit until the city is set up. 😊
Use a 2 by 8 plate for the main support. Wheels attach to bottom and everything else on the top.
There are old space wheels from 80s-90s that would look good for an amphibious six wheeler
You have the dark blue and dark red ones, still.
So get cracking, Robin.
O and Johnny Thunder and his gang, is back.
I think you might like them.
Microphone for the poke.
Police stop signs with flat round bricks, as head rests.
Such great little off road beast vehicles
Yeah, they're great fun!
Great build, the only thing is have you thought if replacing the engine block of the grey vehicle with a silver/chrome one, to match the silver on the sticker 🤔
Neat idea, they look like an early 2000s racers set. I have 2 of those 2-seater pieces, but they're hard to find in sets.
Yes the pieces for this build were over loads of different hauls!
Fantastic content sir
Maybe some lights on the bull bar using plate with a clip
You could have a creek with the top of the 6WD going through it.
I didn't know that seat part cane in green nice I have a tan one I used in a ultralight MOC build I did
Yes I used that one as a desert Humvee type vehicle!
For added strength - and more importantly increased swushability: Please add one more plate layer between the axel base and the rest!
Agreed. This was my suggestion, will also add to the off-road- ness being higher lift of chassis above wheels.
8x2 black plate above the existing black layer..
I cant wait for the new lego city mobile crane I've waited so long for new lego construction
May be you can add in your city a dessert can your buggy in rent and race
What fun builds they are! I'd love to see one in dark azure.
I'm going for Dark Red for the third as the Azure one will be the same colour as the sea and it's a Hidden Side buggy that I like!
Hallo Robin, großartiges kleines Moc. :D Man könnte noch eine dritte Version mit einen Raupenantrieb x939 bauen wie aus dem tollen Set 60071 :D

Im sure i sent a tan version of that cockpit seat thing ages ago so you could use that
That's already been used in my desert humvee explorer's vehicle asking with the cloth roof!
Go for three!!
I think piece 50943 would look better for the engine / air intake.
love that idea

You should not make a third one since your new city is only in a 2-car garage. 🤣
Oooooooooo! This is so cool!
I am absolutely chuffed to bits! (I used that correctly, right?)
How are you?
I've been waiting for another upload and you never disappoint
Robin please turn the nose around on the grey one it looks like a pig😂😂
The Banana Splits buggy's. . . .
Hi there I think they look great. X
ROBIN HOOD BRICKS I NEED 2 WATCH U BUT U NEED 2 MAKE A CREW CAR 2 YOUR PASSAGER TRAINS LIKE I DID YESTERDAY ALSO U HAVE GAVE ME GOOD IDEAS 4 MY NEW PASSAGER TRAIN
heheh mini cars
coloured clear aerials x 2 for rear of seat?
