Thank you I appreciate it! The Impala work will begin again in May. My "winter project" is the C20 and it ended up taking longer and being more work than I thought it would've been. The Impala content will be back soon. I love that car and for the foreseeable future it ain't going nowhere.
Chevy had the perfect chance to make an access hole in the trunk back at the factory to make this job easier but we gotta do it the hard way, and that's no light tank either. thanks for the video
Great video! Back in 2012 my dad's 94 caprice with the b4u package had it's fuel pump & sending unit take a crap. He couldn't get a replacement for a month or so because there wasn't any at the time but he finally did and got that puppy running. 11 years later she still burns rubber on both rear wheels lol. They don't make them like they used too.
Yes I did. That hose is for the evap system. I used 5/16 fuel hose. Fuel hose is usually for carburetors and low pressure. The evap system only goes up to 1 or 2 PSI. Fuel line hose is usually for Fuel injection and is for alot higher pressure. Save some money and get the carburetor stuff for the fuel vapors.
@@jeyweb4236 Turn the key to the on position before starting. You'll hear the fuel pump prime the system for 3 seconds. Then shut off. Do that twice before starting.
The gas in the tank was about a week old. I put 5 gallons in it when I bought it to see if it would start. It didn't. I ended up saving that gas for my lawn mower.
The sending unit just drops in the tank and sticks out about an inch from the top because it has a spring. You push it down and hold it down for the last inch then install the lock ring at the top of the tank. I apologize for not being able to capture the whole process on film. If you watch the Yukon fuel pump video I explain the process better.
You gotta start back the impala videos! Your videos are no nonsense and to the point. Great job with your step by step instructions!!

I pray mines is just the fuel pump this got me excited about my ss ‼️💪🏽🏁
I'm thinking the same thing!!
always skeptical about pressure washing the inside of the gas tank until I saw you let the blower rip and crack that beer. well done sir

Great point
So happy it worked for you! About to do the same for a 96 Roadmaster!
Nice video bro. I like how you show part numbers of the parts used and show what tools you used also.
Thank you, I hope it helps

They sure don't
Thanks for sharing. My Impala has been sitting for 14 years. I guess I better just do what you did right from the get-go.
You don’t have to take the shield off I’m actually in the middle of doing it and I got my tank dropped working on the lines right now without a tool
Thanks for making this
Your welcome I hope it helps you out. More videos coming soon.
My 94 caprice is having a long crank before start. Wondering if its fuel bump going bad or ignition coil
Did you get a chance to replace the hose that was crumbling, if so what did you use for the replacement?

@@GearJammerGarage Great! Thanks for the reply. Gonna swap my pump out today. Did you have to purge the system after install before start up?

On the new pump it comes with 2 plastic clips are those just trash?
If you are reusing the sending unit I think you'll need them to secure the new pump in the old housing
Did you recycle that stale gas?

What year impala 95/96? I’m sure it would prob be the same anyways huh? Great video by the way!
It's a 96, should be the same for a 95 also.
Nice 👍 work
You did brother
Could tell us or show us how did you install the sending unit in the tank ?

@@GearJammerGarage no problem brother
