I love that most Dr Doom stories in the end are usually about Doombots because the real Dr Doom never waste his time on anything he can send a bot to do and is always doing something cooler that we don’t get to see
For a while, I honestly had a hard time picking between Magneto or Doctor Doom as my favorite villain. Magneto had such an understandable motive because of his backstory and his intentions, but the only thing that gave the edge to Doom for me was how heroic his origin story sounded. Dead parents, his own personal demons and becoming the scientific, mystical genius and ruler of Latveria and his ego is what makes Doom my favorite villain. He wants to give the world the liberation and ascension that Latveria received when he returned. Because as much as we don't want to admit, Doom is the only one who can (if he existed for real of course, just follow his laws)

Honestly, If Susan Storm went to Victor Von Doom in secret, and told him directly she wants to have an affair with him against her cold and distant husband, I wouldn't mind reading that
Of course, Dr. Doom would not entertain such horrible adultery to satisfy his sworn rival's partner. In fact, this would only make his hatred grow stronger against Richards, and he would probably suggest Sue clear her head and look for a marriage counselor for the sake of her family

This story really gave a lot of context to Doom's future actions, such as his willingness to always hear out, listen to, and even protect Reed's daughter Valeria simply because she reminds him of an enjoyable period in his life and even himself to a degree, even though he'll probably never admit that out loud
It's as though Doom is a better Vader than Vader.
Amazing production guys, definitely needs more attention.

Rowat's Doom voice has to be the best Doom voice I've ever heard. Having heard several Doom voices over the years, I get the feeling that voice directors may have trouble selecting an accent for the character. In most cartoons, Doom sounds British, even though Latveria is supposed to be in Eastern Europe? And not all of these cartoons quite get the metallic tone of the voice when Doom's mask is on. But you've done it perfectly and I hope that future Marvel productions follow this example.

Doctor Doom is the best Super Villian in comics hands down. His story like Iron fist , and Doctor Strange all barrow from The Shadow of 1930s Pulip .
At this point the only thing keeping Doom a villain is:
-his superiority complex/ ego, he's just like "nah i'm too awesome to be just a man/my humanity is what makes me weak, blah blah" ..fears of his own vulnerabilities. Ironically, a very human story.
-thus making him anti-social and tyrannical, also leading to him swearing an enemy of Richards when Reed's achievements, a mere man, rivals his own. When instead, had he been honest with himself he'd have confessed his acknowledgement of Mr. Fantastic's abilities, and they'd become best friends, if not friendly rivals. (Ofc we wouldn't have gotten the great comics that way)
Truly an Atlas, declaring to the heavens, to himself, that he alone will conquer all things and set them to right by his own will. Not seeing that refusing the will of others and imposing his upon all makes him so monstrous. Admirable, tragic, DOOM.

This kids, its the true one and biggest Marvel comics villain, fuck Thanos or Galactus, Doom is one of the most interesting and well developed characters in super hero comics, only other ones that I can think of that come close are Batman and Spiderman.

He's not evil like a Joker. He thinks he's the hero. But he's a villian for sure. Though I think he's a straight up hero in the comics right now.
Had Thanos not used the infinity stones to prevent Dr. Doom from teaming with Dr. Strange ( science & the dark arts combined with the mystic arts), Doom would rest and watch the sun set on a grateful universe.
If Marvel turned this into a movie to setup the FF it would easily be an Oscar nominee.

I barely noticed that I watched over an hour of the video like a breeze.
I was always interested in what his backstory was, but for a villain he had more complexity than I ever anticipated.
The story of Doctor Doom. Told as a biography and a tale of terror. A fine tribute to one of MARVEL's greatest super villains. Not one Fantastic Four movie could explain it as superbly as this.
The best thing about RUclips is when people are simply so passionate about something that they decide to spend hours and hours and days of their life in order to bring the community and the Creator Joy

I think they will if they use the Books of Doom as a base for his character. To where Doom is a badass with a mystical and scientific prowess that's beyond anything in the MCU, but also a sympathetic villain (much like Thanos and Killmonger) we subconsciously root for

This is quite simply THE greatest origin story in the history of comics. He's neither villain nor hero, neither god nor man, limited by nothing, he is a category all is own: Doom. If THIS Von Doom comes to the MCU it will be a juggernaut of success for years and years to both box office and critical acclaim. This character is an absolute masterpiece.

They legit can do this, and have flashbacks throughout the movie. Make 2-3 hours long or into a series but it would be dope origins story. Drop hints of the MCU world and cameo of Reed Richard and you can see his motives for hating him and the Fantastic Four.

A shame nobody's been able to excise Waid's characterization of him. What he did to Valeria, sending Franklin to hell. Would have worked GREAT as an out of continuity horror story with a non-616 Victor. Not so great in canon.

I like how he always beats Kangs ass. (Kang is a bad ass but the only one that can compare to Doom for his lust for power is Thanos)
This is why Doctor Doom is the best villain of all time!!!! You can really sympathize with his character. His hatred toward the world is very understandable. Losing his parents, being a refuge etc. Once he put on his enchanted armor, he was to far gone. He just became a cold and calculating. However, at the same time, in his eyes, he had no other option. Latveria was not in a good place and Doom was tired of seeing his people suffer. Combine with his thirst for revenge was enough motivation to get things into motion! This is incredible! 🙏🏽💪👏
I think Vic hates what he can't control. He's a good provider leader when he has Power!! Only total Appreciation & obedience is required!! The superhero community doesn't trust him. Very much like The Hulk , just leave him alone & let rule ,life with Emperor Doom isn't Bad
I like the subtle clues that it's not the real Doom, where he says his memory is impeccable, but fails to remember certain events in full or at all, especially memories that the true would hold forever.

This is why I'm so drawn to Doom, and why he's my favorite .....I suppose Antagonist is the word I'm most comfortable with using. He's not a villain, not in the usual sense. He doesn't seek world domination for the sake of conquest. Any evil act he commits isn't just to be evil for the sake of being evil. He seeks global conquest because he believes the world would be better under his rule. For him, what others would call evil, are just means to an end for him. He has his flaws of course, no person is without them. But in his heart he only wants what's best for the world.
Just look at Latveria, they've thrived under his leadership, and they love him. When he stepped down and left Latveria to attempt a new take/way of life, the people suffered, and begged him to resume the throne. The man met with a Wakandan panther god (I think? All I remember of it was it's a feline, and a god), and when Doom said there was only one future in which humanity thrived/survived, the deity (begrudgingly/reluctantly) agreed that it was the future in which Doom was in control.
I'm not saying I approve of everything Doom's done, and if I were in the Marvel universe it's unlikely I'd fully join him. However I mourn the losses Doom's suffered (be they external or self inflicted), as they've severed many chances of Doom being happy. However Doom is my favorite for his will, his drive, his intelligence, his power, his vision, and his status as either a lawful neutral, or more likely a lawful evil (an archetype I frequently find myself drawn towards)

Initially I would’ve expected Moleman, but given the F4 movie is taking place in Phase 6 & so close to the next Avengers, I could see anyone from Galactus to Annihilus to Kang facing off with them.
I’d like to see Doom teased as a behind-the-curtain villain afterward & get a full Books of Doom series introduction on Disney+ before maybe showing up in the next Strange movie & creating Battleworld in Secret Wars.

I'm curious how they could. Same with Magneto. Tbh, I'd appreciate this series of stories to be a Disney+ series(hear me out, I know Disney likes to water down how "extreme" some characters are). I'd love to see an in-depth journey of knowing Doom's parents and learning to grow attached to them for when they die, we can feel Victor's pain. When he travels to America could be another episode where we see Doom's genius grow and the seeds to the Reed-Doom rivalry start to grow(maybe even mention the Atomic Knights of the Roundtable[Hank Pym, Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, etc.]). The rest of the journey will be Doom's training under the Tibetan Monks (in a way in which Netflix's Iron Fist could've done with Kun'Lun) and watch him grow further in knowledge, h2h and weapons, and eventually becoming their leader. I want to feel Doom's attachment to Latveria. I want to become attached to Latveria. That way when Doom succeeds, we've successfully painted Doom as a hero- the same light Latveria's citizens see him. So that way in future stories, we partially root for Doom every time he's on screen. And instead of killing him off like we did Thanos, we keep him around as a mainstay

But yeah I agree with everything else you said. For me if they fuck up DOOM I’m pretty much done with the MCU.

This was such a delight to watch, i want this to be the movie Doom...who knows. Brings so much depth to the villain. The performances were great and the kaleidoscope effects were a nice touch, really puts you in mental insanity.
This reminded me why I love Von Doom!

The only way the experiment could work is for Victor to have created a syndrome in the power induction that was regulated by a sinewave that was electronic reading of his brain waves, his only thought; ''FIND MY MOTHER!' broadcasting and increasing and increasing over and over, piercing the dimensional wall and then flooding that realm until his nuclear-powered spell worked and he found her. The actuation of that magic fused Victor with that realm, his mind, his face, his entire head... a personalization of that place and all that it is.
