- একজন নেতার ফেসবুক পোস্টের সংখ্যার সাথে লাইকের সংখ্যার পজিটিভ করিলেশন পাওয়া যাচ্ছে। অর্থাৎ নেতা যত বেশি পোস্ট দিচ্ছে, লাইকের সংখ্যা তত বেশি বাড়ছে। নেতা তো মহা খুশি! আসলে কী খুশির বিষয়? নেতার পোস্টের এতই গুন? এরকমটা নাও হতে পারে। এখানে তৃতীয় একটা বিষয়, যাকে "সহমত ভাই" সিন্ড্রম বলা যেতে পারে, তার ভূমিকা থাকতে পারে। অর্থাৎ পোস্টের প্রকৃত গুনাগুনের চেয়ে সহমত ভাই সিন্ড্রমের কারণে হয়ত অনেক বেশি লাইক পড়ছে। তাই, আসল চিত্রটা বের করার জন্য এই সহমত ভাই সিন্ড্রমকে কনট্রোল করতে হবে। আর সেটা করতে পারবেন Partial Correlation দিয়ে। এই ভিডিওতে Partial Correlation নিয়ে বিস্তারিত জানতে পারবেন, প্র্যাকটিস ডাটা সেট এবং রেজাল্ট লেখার টেমপ্লেটও পাবেন।

Yes, controlling for a third and potentially confounding variable called social desirability.
So far I know, the simple correlation coefficient has zero order as it doesn't control anything. In the table, if the upper portion represents simple correlation, zero order correlation coefficient should be (r=.80).
You are right, the zero order correlation coefficient is r=.80. See at 9:49
But in the interpretation, you wrote "an inspection of the zero order correlation (r=.79)"
