as much as i'd L O V E for klance to be canon, i'd be just as fine with an established "best friends" kind of deal
sadistiic Yeah, because their relationship and dynamic is already amazing. -but the writers were laying it on a bit thick this season-
i don't want it to be another korra deal like what happened with asumi and korra. it wasn't even implied that they likes each other or that they were anything but straight and then all of a sudden they kiss in the next episode and are established girlfriends? i like a good healthy story with lgbt characters (that don't die) but honestly, that came out of nowhere. it couldn't have been dreamworks' endgame if they never even implied anywhere that they liked each other. yeah, sure. they wrote letters to each other but i do that with all my other best friends and their more 'romantic' than any one of her letters. don't mean to complain but the writing for the korra and asumi ship sucked. i don't want klance to end up like that. i just really want a nice natural 'organic' story. meaning i want it to not feel industrial or forced.
IShould BeSleeping There's a little thing called censorship? Funny thing is that gay couples weren't exactly allowed on kids TV so Korra actually broke the glass ceiling on that one, the development they got (from romantic rivals to wary allies to friends to girlfriends) was about as much as they would have been able to do, and they did it well. And by the way what implications do you need that they're "anything but straight"? They never said they were straight pal you made that assumption all on your own
IShould BeSleeping well by this season they're obviously getting a better relationship and kind of turning into friendly rivals so dreamworks should have plenty of time to really develop them before having them together if that's what they choose to do

Yeah but remember Keith isn’t good with emotions and whatnot he tried his best and I’m guessing that was his way of comforting Lance. At least their relationship is improving from absolutely yelling at each other every 5 seconds to talking normally to each other. It may have been unhelpful but Keith has emotional problems too and he doesn’t know how to fix that, the how do you suppose he can magically automatically become an expert on emotions and help Lance fully.
Billy Bob Late reply is late, but that actually was probably the best advice Keith could've done. Reading between the lines, what Keith meant by, "Oh, and Lance? Leave the math to Pidge," was actually, "Oh, and Lance? Don't worry about the paladin to lion ratio. You're important to the team and you shouldn't worry about being replaced. Things will work themselves out."
"Leaving the math to Pidge" was the indication that Lance had nothing to worry about; he was being asked not to worry about being inconsequential to the team. That's why Lance smiled when he turned away; he'd been expecting Keith to agree that he shouldn't be on the team, only to be pleasantly surprised when Keith actually suggested he was important enough to have no replacement.
