Hi sir! Great videos, and thanks for helping in the Thomas VW video. As I asked a question there and you commented. Just wanted to know, Audi B7 2.0T quattro. Oil in the intercooler pipes. Question is, how to know if it's the turbo seal or something related to the turbo, or the PCV system causing it. Thanks in advance
Is it smoking fron the exhaust? If not, I'd just drain it out and recheck it in 1000km and see what the build is like. It is normal for some oil to be in the intercooler pipes on a turbocharged car with a close circuit breather system as the breather vents back into the front of the turbo. You can remove the turbo intake pipe and check for excessive play of the turbo shaft also.

From memory I believe it does do a full sweep, but it's been a while since I've had one with this issue actually. I feel.like the very first one that I experienced with this issue would try do a full sweep and not be happy due to the oil inside it. $750 AUD isn't a nice pill to swallow. These have gone up so much in price over a couple of years. For that $750 though you could buy the full version of VCDS and consider it paid off by this repair alone not having to buy the part. I've had so much positive feedback regarding this fix long-term.

P10a4 has the definition that the intake flap (electrically controlled) has a malfunction. You can see in the video the issue with the flap and then the oil found inside the motor that controls it. I've had multiple people feedback with no further issues. However, this is all depending on the user getting the diagnosis right. I've seen it a lot with the 1.4tsi. Yes and no. Yes it's "normal" in that most 1. 4tsi engines are like it, but no it's not normal in that there can be exceptions where it's excessive amounts of oil due to things such as turbo failure, cracked piston ring lands leading to excessive blowby into the crank case etc. It's hard to give you an answer without seeing it. Worth taking the hose off the lowest point of the intercooler and seeing how much oil drains out also.

Pierburg?
P2015 2 times after 11 years do basic settings with vcds; i have racechip maybe this cause the problem; output tests do it;
Can I ask if the output test in this video is normal? Is it normal that it’s only going 45 degree open. Mine opens fully and closes fully when running outputting test... is that abnormal
A problem with the j808 valve, what kind of effect produce during the driving? maybe engine tears between 2500 and 3000 rpm? thanks
hi good video, but how did you open it up
You don't need to open it up. It's a sealed unit. Drill a hole in it like i explained in this video and wash the oil out.
@@FourRingsAuto Hi I have washed it out will test later. i have two problems which i think stem from an issue, I had the oil and filter changed but I think the oil was sub-standard. as it looked very black. I started to get sudden lack of power. and the engine warning light came on also a message came up 'High oil pressure switch off. I changed the oil + filter using mobil super 3000 5w-30. I have an Elm327 obd which I plugged in an got to codes P10A0 which relates to the flap and I guess the lack of power. The other code is P000B which I am not sure about I think it relates to the oil and maybe a blockage, how do you clean all the oil passages? the engine also sounds very lumpy.
Great vid by the way
Where can I purchase
Question: how is the idle controlled on the twin charge 1.4 tsi .. do they have an idle control valve?
Throttle body
@@FourRingsAuto erratic idle issue's low idle then upto 1100rpm then settles. Demand aircon and it settles. Thank you for the reply your videos are very very informative thanks for sharing 👍.
Thanks a lot....
Friend how do you get so many functions with vcds or what pin code do you use?
Do you have a genuine vcds?
in brisbane 21 Feb 2020 vw quoted $700 today
Just for the part?
@@FourRingsAuto yep
@@FourRingsAuto including gst
@@FourRingsAuto did your recycled one continue to work?? Personally i think they need a catchcan to keep the oil out of it.
@@phillipkennedy3444 yep. Had a few comments from people who've done it to a few cars too and all had great results.
I have same issue but no code

My intake is full with oil, is that normal or not
I've seen it a lot with the 1.4tsi.
Four Rings Auto same problem, there are some breathing pipes from the engine going into the air intake pipe, this is where the oil is coming from, take one off and block the hole in the air intake, can add a oil catcher for the breathing hose that you took off,
Bro, what if this code appear, what should I do?( P10A000- actuation regulating flap For intake air electrical error.) We replaced the unit but the code still cannot be clear.
Hi, have you found any solution?
@@ylbong954 yes, faulty regulating flap motor.
@@ylbong954 second unit we replaced is faulty also
@@nf4733did replacement solve the issue
I don't see why it would not work.
I think it's worth a go for sure!
