It's probably been since the final chapter of Wano that I've seen the community this divided about a chapter. To each their own. I personally like what happened with Bonney. However, if you dislike it that's totally fine.
I think the story will be on this tone, if not even crazier, until the end of One Piece. So if people are still holding on to their constricted ideas, then they’re not gonna be able to enjoy whenever things like this happen.

It's pretty obvious Bonney is not going to be as strong as Luffy or anything like that. This is just a great story moment where this girl who lost all faith finally recovers and fights alongside her dad's hero.

I understand that people are annoyed at the giant robot, but at the beginning of egghead vegapunk said that he doesn't know how it moved back then. We now know its "fuel" is joyboy or luffys heartbeat. Same with zunisha who heard the heartbeat from far away. It has no fuel left when luffy stops nika-ing. Ran a bit longer but then stopped. So its not out of nowhere, but i understand that people want more. But hey, maybe we get that now thanks to bonney.

I can't help but believe, Oda picked up a few ideas from that one chapter in Kuma's backstory that was released unfinished. There was some pretty good aesthetics in some of those more raw sketch versions so much so it almost like you could feel the anger being portrayed.
Bonney just has a really cool broken power. It's not the first and I think it's great. The haki is all that really matters as we all should know. This is just a fun moment. If you're not having fun then maybe one piece isn't for you.

There's a few ways that people interpret Bonney mimicking Luffy's form, but maybe she'd do the same things she's always done unless shown how far the possibilities go. She _just_ got this idea of feeling truly "free" (as she describes it), but would she know how to push the boundaries like Luffy can? Personally, I can see her just mimicking Luffy until she gets the hang of being limitless. I don't expect her to start doing the same stuff Luffy did against Kizaru immediately. First of all, Bonny isnt going to be nearly as strong as Luffy, it is an imitation after all. And will have very strong limitations. You could see her fruit as a mimic fruit. Its cool, but its only as strong as Luffy helped her make it. He is focusing a lot on Bonny, pumping her up and encouraging her. He believes in her, and that feeds her power.
I think this proves either the elders were wrong about the nika fruit hadn’t been awaken in 800 years or someone else had bonneys fruit and was able to turn into nika 200 years ago which is why the giant robot attacked the holy land

Bonney is gonna have to basically have power on par with Luffy if they're intending to stop an Elder. If she is only imitating the look of Luffy, she isn't going to be much help at all, and that would make the whole thing pointless.

I would just like to point out that the translation for Empty Void's attack in One Punch Man is kind of wrong. 泡状にたたまれた次元に特殊な術式で干渉する たたまれた is passive form, the translation makes it sound like he's actively folding them. He's using a special move on the dimensions that are folded like bubbles/bubbling up like foam on the water, he's not the one that did the folding. This is why they dedicate a panel to talking about how all the different possibilities look like bubbles from the higher dimension. In short, Void didn't fold any dimension. They are already folded like bubbles to begin with. The Jutsu is entirely to interact with the dimension from the outside. Even Google Translate and DeepL get this nuance. That the "folded dimensions" part of the sentence is in past-tense, and so they have nothing to do with Void's special jutsu interference A correct translation should be: "And with a special Jutsu, interfere with the folded dimensions from outside!" This is such an obvious mistake that it makes me wonder if the phrase was deliberately mistranslated by the scanlation for powerscaling purposes.

I actually would be fine with a bonny that is a nika nika lite, but thats given she has been developed enough to warrant it. Bonny up until egg head was a random aging fruit girl from saebody. Who we got random updates on throughout the years. She has by no means been set up properly to be as important as she is now. We have to accept that she is because it is oda's story if we want to keep reading, but this was by no means developed or earned. but we shall see what happens here. I am not upset about this development at all. I am more upset with the live action butchering xD but i digress, great stream. Ill try to tune in next time.
I’m pretty sure that’s just the power Bonney ended up with as part of Saturns experiment to give infants DF powers via an extract instead of feeding it to them. Saturn never says anything that indicates they were trying to recreate the Nika fruit.

I can't help but believe, Oda picked up a few ideas from that one chapter in Kuma's backstory that was released unfinished. There was some pretty good aesthetics in some of those more raw sketch versions so much so it almost like you could feel the anger being portrayed.

There's a few ways that people interpret Bonney mimicking Luffy's form, but maybe she'd do the same things she's always done unless shown how far the possibilities go. She _just_ got this idea of feeling truly "free" (as she describes it), but would she know how to push the boundaries like Luffy can?

You could see her fruit as a mimic fruit. Its cool, but its only as strong as Luffy helped her make it.

I would just like to point out that the translation for Empty Void's attack in One Punch Man is kind of wrong.

たたまれた is passive form, the translation makes it sound like he's actively folding them.
He's using a special move on the dimensions that are folded like bubbles/bubbling up like foam on the water, he's not the one that did the folding.
This is why they dedicate a panel to talking about how all the different possibilities look like bubbles from the higher dimension.
In short, Void didn't fold any dimension. They are already folded like bubbles to begin with. The Jutsu is entirely to interact with the dimension from the outside.
Even Google Translate and DeepL get this nuance. That the "folded dimensions" part of the sentence is in past-tense, and so they have nothing to do with Void's special jutsu interference
A correct translation should be: "And with a special Jutsu, interfere with the folded dimensions from outside!"
This is such an obvious mistake that it makes me wonder if the phrase was deliberately mistranslated by the scanlation for powerscaling purposes.
