Hello Fellow Amphaulics, Friends, And Supporters Of The World Renowned BBI AMPS: Thank you Luke for this very important video. I'm glad you and your Mrs are doing well considering the impact. God Bless my brother and my best to you and your family. TMP, Unit 22 from N.J.
First off let me say I'm super glad you were all OK!!! Your install videos along with others I have watched have made me improve on what I thought was a good install system I had going. I have also been the victim of vehicle loss due to crash and let me tell you, I will gladly take a vehicle loss over severe injury or loss of life.. The first time I lost a vehicle I was mad as hell. I was young and didn't see the big picture.. Fast forward 30 or so years and I understand that my prize possession truck is only a material object.. I'm glad that your situation turned out as good as it could have in this circumstance.. Hope you find a replacement that you can build out and love as much as this one!!!
Truely sorry to hear and see the aftermath of the accident. I thank God for saving your life and your wife. I hope you receive enough money from your insurance company to purchase a new truck.
Sorry for the lost of your Vehicle but God is good and the Technical knowledge that you have done gave you and your Wife a Very Blessed happy Mother's day 💛 and to you BBI'😢 Vehicle is replaceable my thoughts and prayers 🙏 go deeply to and your and family ' Happy Blessed Mothers day Once again too your Wife all the way from New Jersey I feel your pain' 73' BBI AMPS and family 👪 Leon brown aka 158 nj'
BBI, thanks for the video, glad you all walked away. Last September I took a high-speed direct head-on hit by an individual that crossed lanes, totaling my new Ford Explorer with a custom install. All of the OEM and the custom install safeties worked. I walked away from the crash and in a few days was able to later painfully recover the radio gear at the yard. Just to echo BBI, if your planning an install do your research and do it correctly.
Darn that Truck,If Mama is well,I know you will be ok. Keep moving, flex a bit more and all will be ok. One Luv,Stay Safe and I will Pray for you Guys. And Where's the Lab Man. Good Luck.a
Glad to see your family and you are safe!!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 he’s ALWAYS working! FYI if you wanted to repair that it’s not as bad as what your thinking honestly. I’ve rebuilt RWD crown victorias that was in a head on at 40mph. I used too work in a Icar gold body shop in Detroit. If it were me I’d strip off the sheet metal up front and leave the drivetrain and frame extensions only. Tow it to a REPUTABLE collision shop with a lazer guided frame rack. A lot of these newer vehicles have replaceable front frame horn extensions in which when manufactured they were bolted on to be replaceable in front end collisions. The cab and bed both have a lot movement as you know from ground wires. I’d bet if the shop doesn’t see before pics, and just focuses on the frame repairs you could repair that beauty in the exact shape it was in prior. Just a thought.. The reason for YOU stripping the clip off is for two reasons. 1) if a shop thinks they can upsell and make more money they absolutely will!! And 2 it leaves the entire frame area wide open for them too insert the proper measurement tools to check the X and determine if and how much pulling or replacement is necessary..
Any accident you can walk away from is a good result. I am so glad you and wife are ok. I had a near fatal accident I didn't walk away from, sad to say. It's brilliant that you turn this tragedy into a learning experience for everyone else. I am sad for the truck as well.
You are spot on Luke our prayers are with you and your wife because it should be said that you did everything absolutely right I had a 73F 100 that was hit similar to what your truck was and it saved my wife’s lies so thank God for heavy made vehicle and thank you for your input because I had no fire either
Been there twice and survived both. Wait till the pain kicks in.....Oh, boy! On the last one a few months back, the medics were laughing because I was only concerned about my new Predator Antenna mounted on the tool box. Thank God you and and wife are ok.
It’s definitely a shame to lose such a nice truck, hard work installing everything, and the sentimental value of the truck. But, you already know how different things could have went and those those things can never be replaced. I’m glad you and your wife are safe!
Damn BBI 😢 I'm so very sorry this happened to you man❣ You're a very smart man for always putting safty 1st and thank goodness you and your wife are both ok🙏🏽 Thanks for sharing this with us so that we can all learn about this and I honestly never thought about the importance of a fuse being installed at the source of the power, I believe I've always had my fuses at the equipment, well never again! Always install fuses at the power source always!
I don't comment much but thank God for you and your wife and I am a General Motors for Chevrolet fan it doesn't matter but I do know it hurts considering what you've have put into that truck❤❤❤❤❤❤ you're here and the wife's here that's all that matters
Hi Luke, At the beginning of the video where you showed the accident scene and I saw the passenger airbag deployed, my first thought was to your wife's safety. Glad you are both OK except for some bruises and aches. Possessions can always be replaced, but not loved ones. Awesome video explaining power cabling safety and the importance of working airbag sensors.
Thank God everyone walked away and I will keep an eye out for a replacement truck. Hopefully you get to feeling better soon and I know of the miracle of surviving bad wrecks. June 6th 1978 my girlfriend and myself were hit head on in my old flat nose Econoline van by a Corvette going over 100 mph. Both our passengers walked away away. The other driver and myself earned hospital stays so after that I mount everything. When I get my amps back I will figure out where to mount one then I will work on safely routing everything.
You and your wife should go to the hospital and get checked out your still in shock and I’ve seen many many MANY ACCIDENTS when people walk away from their accidents and the next day They can’t move atleast make her go . God was watching over both of you today Luke hold her tight tonight tell her how much you love her and pray together thanking god that you were able to make this video …I’m so glad you guys were ok materialistic things we can replace our loved ones and ourselves we can’t NOT. You my friend our in my prayers and Sonia your wife.. godbless and I’m sorry about your truck but I’m glad that you your queen and other occupants for the other vehicle are alive … rest up and keep an eye on your wife and tell her to watch you any headache dizzyness vomiting go to er immediately… if you need anything it’s easy to get ahold of me and if I can’t help out I’ll figure out how too. Your friend in Buffalo ny WOODCHUCK
Happy everyone was ok. Sadly, I know the feelings your going thru. Had my brand new 1987 Chevy C3500 Dually six weeks. I was smacked broadside by a van that ran a red light. It hit me so hard I flew across 4 lanes of traffic, hopped a 10" tall curb and rolled into a brick wall of a building. How I walked away from it with just minor bumps and scrapes I don't know. Apparently the driver of the van that hit me told the cops that his brakes went out. Turned out the van was filled with about 1 ton of ceramic floor tiles. Half ton van was way overloaded obviously. To make things worse, the driver had no drivers license, no insurance, it was a floor tile company van. My insurance covered my truck since the other driver had nothing, they went after the floor tile company, the company claimed bankruptcy a month later. They reopened under a new name a month after that - go figure.
Yall all were definitely being looked down on when that happened bbi whether it b God him self or angels or just someone in heaven!! Ive worked in the tow industry as well n seen many that was less drastic do a heck of a lot worse damage.. especially to the people in the vehicles!! All I can say is wow n yalls blessed to say the least!!
I was a wrecker operator for 17 years... Working the city contract. I miss the job, I was exceptional good at it, even went to Florida competitions, but man, did that occupation make an old man out of me... My doctor / specialist, when first taking care of me, did a full work up on my, and upon review, came in flipping through paperwork on a clipboard, saying, at your age, you are as healthy as a 20 to 25 year old, as per, all your guts, but boy, your skeleton is one big piece of junk, lol... Then asked, how and what have you been doing to be in that bad of shape, so much so, that I don't think there is anything anybody can really do to fix this mess, other then keep you comfortable for the remaining time you got left..
Ok ok BBI..I’m gonna go ahead and buy new conduit and conduit the entire run. Under the hood to behind the seat to the caps and then radio. I don’t have a production set up but I’ll do some pics and videos not because I’m good but because I’ll do it and tag you and you pick it apart. I actually got in a wreck 2 days ago just about to the hour..you don’t have to comment but I invite criticism in the name of not burning and family safety..everyone’s family. Thanks BBI. 117Reno in the mile high mobile and I just GOT DOWN!
I had a immigrant from Mexico hit me in the rear. I just bought the truck. Put 40k in it. New jasper built motor . Rebuilt tranny and everything new under it and this idiot didn’t have a license, had his kid in his lap. I was pissed . The only saving grace was it just bent my bumper. Tore his crap up. Took him to jail. Love my 2004 f250 .
Must have broke the torsion bar cross member mount off the frame, witch in turn will drop and move backwards, dropping the key off the torsion bars, that's a hard hit.
