SHADOWS In musical arena it stands tall above many others , it transcends from a glorify older generation to modern young generation to which their instrumental music still capture the hearts of many, young or old alike. This is a great feat indeed and I will always like very much a pleasure listen to their music from my young age untill now an old man already.

Having followed the SHADS since a lad of just 10 years,I could say that it is the greatest instrumental group the world has seen.Would another group emerge to surpass their music.I would not answer this question.Who knows what the future holds. Unfortunately,many have left earth.The only member that survives is Hank B.Marvin who now resides in Australia.We have something in common:We both love Indian foods-the pungent chillies that leave many Westerns with tears,red eyes,running nose ..
The Shadows have been a music passion I have enjoyed since hearing Apache in 1961, I think it was. The collection of records, latter CD's is considerable and something I have kept current as new material, much of it historic, that was not released when originally recorded. All will now be historic as Shadows band members have died and those players remaining: two are nearly 80 years of age and one is that age already. For reasons associated with old age and geographical distance that separates them now, a defeating tyranny of silence will soon complete its descent upon a shrinking number of fans and followers whose time on planet Earth becomes increasingly numbered. Yet, the influence of The Shadows is so great that their music is intergenerational and that is the power of music.
Very well said, i have been a Shadows fan since my childhood in the eary 60's. They have given us a massive back catalogue of original hits, and covers. Sadly there will probably no more great instrumental bands in the future.
I've just dropped in here from listening and watching Ghost Riders..........played by Canadian band, The Surfrajettes. They're snapping at The Shadows musical heels and i can't help but say, they look a whole lot better too. 😂
