That trail is so much fun but is over so quickly for the climb. You should check out "scotts trail" that's probably the most fun all around trail on that mountain... unless you're into jumps then "whiting woods" is the go. There's an unsanctioned Ridgeline trail there.
This trail is steeper than all the black and double black trails I rode this summer in Whistler. I would discourage riders from attempting in the summer (loose/steep/rutted bad combo). Also I recommend an enduro (or at minimum trail) bike with 200/200 rotors to avoid brake fade.
hey brotha, great video. Im looking to get some shoes to mtb. Im not into the clip shoes and I see you rocking the vans. is there a certain kind you recommend to mtb?
Personally I love riding in vans sk8 hi’s. I grew up riding BMX in vans and I broke my ankle when I was younger so the hightops add that extra support for my ankles. But the waffle grip on my diety Tmac pedals is a solid combo, I never feel like my feet want to come off. I’ve ridden in a MTB shoe called ride concept but I wasn’t a fan of the grip. I have a RUclips video as well where I talk about my favorite shoe🤘 ruclips.net/video/1UqCSHrI67I/видео.html
Are all LA trails basically climbing for about an hour and then the DH? Do you happen to know any loopy and flow type trails that' don't require so much climbing?
Yeah they are unfortunately 😭😫 you should check out marshal canyon or Fullerton loop if you don’t like the climbs too much. They are solid and don’t require as much climbing 🙌
Welcome to my hills/neighborhood. I experienced brake fade on the rear 3 times in that trail at the very bottom. Finally swapped the 180mm for 203mm rotor in rear. Only trail that ever did that to my bike. The ruts we have fixed but due to the grade and the soil erosion, they always come back. There have been some serious accidents/damage in that trail, you did well to scope out prior to riding in multiple cases. Here's an entertaining Valhalla older video (I'm in it with an XC rider): ruclips.net/video/dq4dfCVvLxI/видео.html
Dang it. Nice. I miss that place. The camera doesn't do it justice.
Sadly it doesn’t 😅😂

Scott’s trail looks fun! I’ll have to check those trails out in the future!🤘 thank you!💯👊
Very nicely done- a couple of those rocky descents are rough-and you nailed 'em. That last rocky roller ( the big one) is a blast.
Cheers man! Thank you 🤟💯
What kind of hub do you have. Love the sound
E-thirteen hub and rim 🙌🙌
Where is a good place to park? Would you share the location?
Thanks Gabriel 👍
Did this the other day. Fun! Let's hit some trails together. Live in the area
my butt was puckered for like 9 minutes straight. 😆

Appreciate you man! Some good advice 🤘

This is the one trail I’m too scared to do, looks more just trying not to die and not as much fun. Good job though. That’s quite the trail to conquer!
Haha yeah all you’re really trying to do is make it down in 1 piece😅🤟

Video is sick! Yeah those ruts are tough man, i give you guys props on the trail, it’s so intense 😅🤘
@@GabeGarcia btw there's a split in the beginning of the trail, don't go right, it's treacherous and not MTB friendly.
