Hiking the Mailbox Peak in Washington

We hiked the Mailbox Peak on July 31, 2023 using the old route up and new route down and it was a lot of fun, and exercise! 4000 feet of elevation gain over 4 miles, and about an 8 mile round trip. Expected to take 8 hours, but we were able to do it in just under 6 hours.
We started at 8am on Monday morning and the parking lot was mostly empty. I would recommend getting an early start for this hike as the exposure up top can be pretty serious! Hiking poles will also come in handy along with hiking shoes, a hat, water, and sun screen.

We went up the old trail and down the new trail
