    That’s a tough trail. I stopped a lot of times on the way up but the view is worth it. Great job and thanks for sharing!

    Thanks for documenting this! I just did the new trail 2 weeks ago, and I really want to do the old trail next. This looks really fun and challenging! How long does it take you to hike the new trail? I'm training for Rainier and with a fully loaded mountaineering pack, it takes me around 3:20 from car to peak on the new trail.

      I have never hiked up the new trail, but your time is about what it takes me to hike up on the old trail, I am not a fast hiker up, but I am a fast hiker down trails as I am mostly running down trails if I can.

    So inspired. I have this on my training list. I’ll also be going on my own. I’m really scared. I have a few questions for you.
    How hard is it to find the diamonds?
    Would you say it would be very easy to get lost?
    How did you maintain the battery life on your phone? I’m planning to take a power bank so I can use my AllTrails app?
    Did you feel safe as a woman doing this solo?
    Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions

    • @pnwhiker4239
      @pnwhiker4239  3 года назад +2

      Hello, it is not difficult to find the diamonds, this is a very popular trail, so you won’t get lost because you can see the Path on the ground from all the people heading up, besides that you have the diamonds as a backup… you will be ok, I do not think you will get lost… I use AllTrails, and download the map before you go, however I hardly ever look at the map because is very clear where the “trail” on the diamonds portion is. I also bring an external battery with me. Have fun ! It is a hard one but just keep on going, ok let me say this again, it is hard for me lol. I always go up and down the old trail, Do not forget to bring trekking poles!

      Also I do feel very safe on my own, but I always bring with me Pepper spray and a knife just in case 😬 and recently I am bringing a 🐻 spray also…

    Hi! I will like to ask you a few questions... what month you went, how long it took you to get there (because like you I stop a lot 😁), and is safe to hike solo?
    Btw I love your video!

    • @pnwhiker4239
      @pnwhiker4239  2 года назад +1

      Hi! That was in April of 2021, it took me a little over 3 hrs and 17 minutes to make it to the top, I can never make it under 3 hrs lol 😂 and it is safe to hike solo, I usually hike alone, just bring your map and tell someone where you are going before you go.

      And thank you for liking my videos 😀, I stop doing it because it takes a lot of time to make a video, but it was nice to post them to help anyone else that might wonder how the hike is.

    Has anyone done this And The Grouse Grind in North Vancouver BC Canada. If one can do the Grouse Grind is this doable? Thanks

    • @pnwhiker4239
      @pnwhiker4239  Год назад

      If the information I saw on all trails is correct, that Grouse Grind is only 1.1 miles with 2549 feet of elevation gain, you will for sure have the endurance, and totally can make it.
