    There used to be a place through Cunningham's Gap where cars would seemingly run uphill in neutral as well.

    Thanks for your video! I love your sick sense of humour! Right up my alley! The Temu phone holder looks amazing for the price! Is it the bar holder and the Phone receptacle as a set? Keep up the great work and well done climbing Mt Cootha! Awesome!

      @jelbuilderfilms  Месяц назад

      Thanks man. The Temu bar holder came with the phone mount that you stick onto the rear of a phone case. It's actually served me well for the last 8 months, but just recently on my last ride it failed.... in that a small component became "unglued" causing the phone mount to dislodge. I'll actually do a video soon showing what actually failed and how I fixed it. Otherwise, I still recommend it.

    Really enjoyed this one JB and it sounds like you did too ;) What an adventure! You did well to navigate around all those crossings and bridges, bit confusing at times aye. Love the commentary and your attention to detail. You're right, editing sucks but someone's gotta do it 😉
    It's pretty cool that you're riding next to a busy highway but you know soon you're going to be sitting in the bush away from all the noise enjoying a cuppa. Mt Coot tha is probably my favorite spot.

    Love your videos. You should try Capalaba - Cleveland Cycleway. Start at the Skate Park on Benfield Lane, follow the green arrows painted on the ground and can go all the way through the Showgrounds to Cleveland Bowls Club, mainly though the bush and some quiet roads. From there, easy ride to the Lighthouse for a cup of joe or my favourite is a quick dip at the Raby Bay beaches at the Foreshore Park. If you are really up for it can return to Capalaba via Raby Esplanade Park, Ormiston Hope St, Wellington Pt and the Birkdale foreshore. You'll enjoy it!! Great work , much appreciated and enjoy your coffees!

      Hi David, thanks for the suggestion.... and many thanks for the coffee support!! Really appreciate it. I'll map out that cycleway you mentioned - actually looks quite good. I'm always up for new routes to explore. Will keep you posted and will give kudos when I get to film it. :)

      @@jelbuilderfilms You're welcome mate. Just did the ride again this morning - really is fantastic and rare to be able to do a 40km loop missing main roads - www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=18d_cbM2BbTTfeFa96H2M8P9B4XI3bHg&ll=-27.505541662880212%2C153.226451&z=13
      If you fancy doing it, make sure you take the path behind Cleveland station and later head towards Ormiston House, catching up with the MBC at Bee St / Hope St for a beautiful ride to Wellie Point. Also a nice section after Tingalpa Creek through the Bayside Bushlands - brings you out at start of Lota Creek boardwalk.

      Oooh, that is a nice loop. Thanks for the gpx! I will do that one. I just did a simple quick 45km ride this morning straight up the V1 from Logan to Brissie and around KP for a brew and then back. Was a beautiful morning! I've got some rec leave coming up in two weeks so I'll give your route a run then 👍👍

    CLOCKWISE for the win ! best way to do mt cootha. If you want a real challenge , do it anticlockwise for the longest climb in brisbane

    • @jelbuilderfilms
      @jelbuilderfilms  2 месяца назад

      Yeah, clockwise would definitely cook the chicken legs a bit! Next time :)

    Awesome, I’ve been waiting for this one. It’s my main cycle way and I’ve done a lot of riding on it. Great video, wish I’d have been on at the same time, I’d have shown you a special area at the start, it’s a great hidden location you could’ve throw in, called Pooh’s Corner. Just a little circuit😅Love the commentary bloke.

    Cool Ride mate, I did most of this on an E-Scooter a few years ago, I ended it at the Toowong Bus Depot, I thought the rails on the centenary Bridge were a bit low, But a great Ride for sure.

    Hey buddy, ive watched a number of ya vids, why dont ya mention to council, that ya ride these bike ways, and you'll spend time in correct the problems they have with their bike ways and ya know how to correct them. And get payed for ya time doing them. Instead of riding for free. They need someone as you. Instead of government lads just thinking how and wear, to do them. 👍🤔😉

    • @jelbuilderfilms
      @jelbuilderfilms  2 месяца назад +1

      Thanks Roy... honestly, Council don't listen to nobody, let alone pay anybody. In fact, they'd give me a parking fine if they could 🤣 There's already all these cycling clubs and groups around the joint that voice their concerns and ideas about improving cycling infrastructure, and it all falls on deaf ears. My point in all these videos I make is simply to ride these crazy cycleways (both good and complete rubbish ones) and show people what to expect.

    • @jelbuilderfilms
      @jelbuilderfilms  2 месяца назад +2

      Tagalongs? As in me dragging people along with rope? 😉 Bit hard to organise as all my riding is quite spontaneous as in, I wake up, and then the wife gives me permission to ride and I'm off.... unless I sneak out of the house and the boss thinks I'm in the backyard doing yardwork!
