Let me explain something to you that I think is really important. This video wasn't just for YOU! There's people in this world that wants a corvette and unsure if they want convertible or coupe. There;s people in this world that $7,500 can go to their kids, food, housing, etc. Regardless if you think this video is worthless it wasn't just made for you. @cgarnerspeed252 your right but people with kids need to look for family car I would think if that's the case? But that's just me. Like you said this video is not for me a viewer but someone that has kids but wants to buy a 2 seater sports car.
@@cgarnerspeed252 it doesn’t matter if it’s heat or not fire up that leaf blower and watch that water disappear. Works a lot better also if your car is ceramic coated.. 👍
I like the looks of the convertible better but I see a bad future for it with all the mechanisms in it to function and the coupe also looks really cool too I am on my fourth vette and all were coupes its both just take it of and store it in the back
I love the look of the coupe, it does make a difference on the looks.. I think it's just a personal choice.. I like seeing the engine. It's still a beautiful car, great performance, no matter what model you go with..
Loved your review, especially the way that you had the top stop working correctly and the "Service Convertible Top" light come on. One more item to consider for anyone with sensitive skin -- driving with the top down and the sun baking your skin resulting in a trip to your dermatologist to try and repair your damaged skin -- not fun.
A ZO6 HTC is the way I'd go if I could get a C8. One of my reservations with purchasing an HTC is the complexity of the roof deployment mechanism. I think it's a potential landmine and may be the HTC's Achillies's heel. Few people really drive their C8's so the HTC has yet to be fully tested with miles and time. (This could be said for the entire C8 platform for that matter.) If there is a design vulnerability, it probably won't manifest itself until after many HTC's have aged out of their warranty periods. The expense of repairing an HTC roof mechanism could be fairly high and warrant consideration if purchasing a used HTC a couple of years out. I'll stay informed by watching videos such as this and reading C8 forums and tech pubs. Maybe one day, I too can be part of the C8 community. 🙂 One thing to note about that $7.5K premium. Where I live, we pay personal property taxes on our cars every year so around here, one would have to continue to pay for that option for many years until the car hits 'Antique' status. 😡😡
@@cgarnerspeed252 So you feel the pain. Kinda infuriating when you think bout it. You pay taxes on the initial earnings, you pay taxes to purchase the car and then you pay annual taxes to maintain ownership of the car.
@@cgarnerspeed252 Wait until the dollar loses it's fiat status due to our sanctions and reckless spending. If that happens, these days will be considered, "The good ol' days."😬
I personally don't think trim levels are worth 9 to 14k more for interior upgrades and a few safety features. Especially these highly option vettes going to take a beating on resale.
I'll ad that people SHOULD NOT get the convertible... if the driver is 5' 7" or less, as they will likely be able to get in-and-out of the Coupe, comfortably; however, full size men would need to crawl in! Interestingly, an open or partially open HTC would allow access to all but the widest of brethren!😁I will stand in line, to give them my $7000!!!

I get emails all the time of future corvette owners asking me if the convertible is worth. So I appreciate your comment but you need to consider others concerns of owning the car. Thank you
@cgarnerspeed252 your right but people with kids need to look for family car I would think if that's the case? But that's just me. Like you said this video is not for me a viewer but someone that has kids but wants to buy a 2 seater sports car.
I use a leaf blower to blow dry my car off 😂
Hahaha that works. does it take longer though since it does not blow out heat?
@@cgarnerspeed252 it doesn’t matter if it’s heat or not fire up that leaf blower and watch that water disappear. Works a lot better also if your car is ceramic coated.. 👍
@@DarylIsaacs-fm9cv good to know! I appreciate the information
@@DarylIsaacs-fm9cv Dittto...I have ceramic and leaf blower and it takes less than a minute to blow that accumulated water out of there!
@@chazzf it works out great!!
You can barely hear what he is saying and my volume is on 100%
Interesting
He's speaking loud and clear but after 11 minutes the mic sounded funny
I like the looks of the convertible better but I see a bad future for it with all the mechanisms in it to function and the coupe also looks really cool too I am on my fourth vette and all were coupes its both just take it of and store it in the back
What color is coupe?
I love the look of the coupe, it does make a difference on the looks.. I think it's just a personal choice.. I like seeing the engine. It's still a beautiful car, great performance, no matter what model you go with..
Where do you live? Do you have to clean the engine every time you wash your car?
Loved your review, especially the way that you had the top stop working correctly and the "Service Convertible Top" light come on. One more item to consider for anyone with sensitive skin -- driving with the top down and the sun baking your skin resulting in a trip to your dermatologist to try and repair your damaged skin -- not fun.
Thank you for watching I appreciate that for sure. You are right about the damaged skin for being in the sun to long
Choose to not get Z-51 and got the drop-top.
Ohhh got point!!
As far as the water pooling , you grab a couple micro fiber towels soak up the water and dry it up in 2 minutes. Nothing for a detailed minded owner
the introduction audio levels should be checked.
Thank you so much!!
One thing to note about that $7.5K premium. Where I live, we pay personal property taxes on our cars every year so around here, one would have to continue to pay for that option for many years until the car hits 'Antique' status. 😡😡
Yeah I totally understand having to pay for it every year. It’s the same in NC too
@@cgarnerspeed252 So you feel the pain. Kinda infuriating when you think bout it. You pay taxes on the initial earnings, you pay taxes to purchase the car and then you pay annual taxes to maintain ownership of the car.
@@billydee8051 for sure! I truly think taxes is the biggest ripoff
@@billydee8051 after all the taxes we pay on everything the dollar already isn’t worth much now it’s worth even less
@@cgarnerspeed252 Wait until the dollar loses it's fiat status due to our sanctions and reckless spending. If that happens, these days will be considered, "The good ol' days."😬
Great vid
Thank you so very much!!!
On the Z, it adds 100lbs.
Thank you!!
This video is more like a commercial to sell things than informative 😂
I personally don't think trim levels are worth 9 to 14k more for interior upgrades and a few safety features. Especially these highly option vettes going to take a beating on resale.
I can totally see that! I drove a c8 with and without the safety features. I totally preferred the safety features
That’s really good advice my friend! How are you?
@@cgarnerspeed252 I'm well! I don't intend to troll your posts... but I do watch them all the time. You have good content... and you are a great presenter.
@@Notstradamus Glad to hear you are doing well. Thank you!!
Thank you, you made up my mind
Thanks brother
@@cgarnerspeed252 im getting the LT1 coupe! White on white
Well the good news is you found the cars.... wet spot 😁😁
Lololololol 😂😂🤣😂😂😂
I would NEVER buy a convertible and that open air feeing...I ❤ feeling CLAUSTROPHOBIC and COUPED up with a coupe
Haha coupe has some advantages too
How the hell y’all get a ZR1 to give away?
Yeah unfortunately I want a zo6/zo7, 3lz and HTC. Not cheap lol
I understand that
Wheels? OEM is always better.
Edit: The slope between the nacelles is damn sexy. Vert looks better.
Slope is nice!!
Coupes are for the poor people who can’t afford the convertible 😂😂
I push a button, you unlatch clips and store it in ur trunk like a loser 😂
I own both the coupe and convertible loved both for different reasons
Brand new and the top doesn't work, build quality isn't good at all..pass
Yeah come people said that too!
Never wanted one and still don’t. Overpriced, engine fires, American built = hell never!
Totally understandable
Never couldn’t afford one is what you meant to say, but you just had to say some negative BS!
guy running out to topics to make videos of
Naw not really! I just don’t care about topics you care about 😂
Put a gold fish in it!
🤣😂
