I'm sorry to hear of your struggles brother! I know it can be difficult but if you can get yourself to read the Bible and actually take it in, you'll be so surprised in the unique ways you start to see and feel the proof. Eventually it will be impossible to deny. Crazy story - three people surrounded my wife and I had to defend her. They threw me (a very small framed Christian man) in with the worst of the absolute worst. I was systematically tortured as well. In ways that broke me. I almost died in that place. If I hadn't been released when I was I would've died and that's from the doctor who treated me - plus I felt it. I knew of the verse "the devil will imprison some of you, but be faithful even to death and you will receive your reward through life", but what it actually says is "The devil will imprison some of you and you will suffer persecution for 10 days" - IT WAS EXACTLY 10 DAYS FOR ME BROTHER and it blew my brains all the way out to read that. It was on my dying day I was released and I told God I couldn't take anymore at all and said if you feel this is fair and this is what you want for me I will bare it, but I'm going to die and my wife needs me. He got me out of there and TO THE WORD was completely accurate in my situation. It was just such a mind blow I was in horrible mental health after going through that and just really solidified what I already knew. I don't mean to sit here and bible thump yah at all I just thought I'd share an experience that I feel shows proof of his awesome power and that if you actually read and take it all in, you'll see in no time. All my love brother, I respect you no matter how you feel about life or religion and I sure hope things are great for you. Keep on rockin'! If you ever feel like it all you have to do is say his name. That's literally it brother - the Lord takes it from there!

I've been rocking the new album ever since I got it a couple weeks ago, and this song in particular is stuck in my head. The whole album though - musically, it an amazing mix of brutality, musicality, and atmosphere, and lyrically it is equal parts thought-provoking, and - to steal a word from the guys themselves (in the sleeve of Celestial Completion) - nerd-tastic ;) BTA are masters of allegory, allusion, and metaphor. Seems like they always have been. Absolutely brilliant.
Saw you guys at Furnace Fest this Summer... unforgetable. My only complaint is that you didn't play anything from the EXCELLENT new album. Here's hoping you play again next year!
ATL veteran circa '05 here, wonder if these guys remember playing at the Loaf/Salvation Army in Gwinnett on the back of Terminate Damnation for like 40 or 50 of us - that album is an absolute classic to this day, and Wisdom's harsh vox are still some of the clearest and well-enunciated in the business welcome back BTA, much love from a long time fan

They feel like a combo of Dichotomy and Celestial Completion to me, which is amazing because those are my two favorite BTA albums. I love their entire discography (as well as Jason's other projects through the years such as Solamors and Death Therapy), but yeah, those two albums are incredibly special so I'm glad to hear that sound back. I have a really good feeling about this album, it's gonna be insane!
Fun fact: the band's original name was "The Remnant" before they changed it to Becoming the Archetype. Kinda cool they re-used the name for a song title.
I just heard about this band from, believe it or not, the daughter of one of the old band members. I met her at a music camp and she told me to look them up. I had a friend who listens to Christian heavy metal so I told him about them, and it turned out that he had already heard of them and loved them.
The best most intense song is Becoming The Archetype Beyond Adaptation, There isn't a single band that can rivel that level of intensity, not even hatebreed!

@@jakobfel2 I’d love for the main focus to be continuing to put out BTA and DT material, but also, if Jason has time/wants to, and can get the others (for the respective projects) on board, a sophomore release for Solamors and a full album for The Reversalist. Pipe dream, but it would be awesome. Maybe at least The Reversalist since I think that requires less people that need to agree to it. On an unrelated note, with this being a comeback year for BTA and other bands, it would be awesome if we could get a new album by Hope For The Dying as well.

Also, if you like the prog stuff, definitely listen to Elegy off their first album, as well as the Requiem Aeternam suite from Celestial Completion. Both are longer songs with prog song structure like DT! In general, welcome to the awesome experience that is the Becoming the Archetype discography!
