Um, actually "Santorelli" isn't Tobias' last name. They never mentioned his last name in the books. "Santorelli" is his name from a Fan Fiction continuation of the series but it's not canon. Also he was given the power to morph after he became trapped
Kenny Togunloju agreed his real last name would probably be Fangor, as another commenter mentioned, because his father was Elfangor, called Al Fangor when he took on human form before rejoining the war.

Animorphs killed off so many characters Siobhan. So many innocent people and main characters killed off or trapped permanently in the body of animals... Or worse.
I had nightmares about one book where they're ants and trying to sneak into a place only to encounter ants from a different ant hill. The results were Apocalypse Now with ants.
The descriptions of both how being a Controller (a victim of Yeerk alien slug mind control) feels, and how being a Yeerk exposed to vision and other senses for the first time before losing it again haunts me too. Also even in the early books before that many humans died, if you add up the bodycount of Yeerk parasite controlled Hork Bajir killed by the Animorphs it must be horrific.
So much wrong with Animorph question! Tobias can turn into animals but always has to go back to red tailed hawk after being stuck Siobhan is right, it's only at the start of the books he's stuck.
UM ACTUALLY! Siobahn said that Tobias wasn't stuck as a Red-Tailed Hawk and that's correct. Later in the series Tobias regains the power to morph and can morph into other forms FROM his Red-Tailed Hawk form and is thus not "stuck." He could disobey the time limit again and get a new base form if he wanted to.
UHM ACHWALLY! Siobahn was wrong. Tobias regains the power to morph FROM his Red-Tailed Hawk form, but MUST always go back to it within the 2 hour time limit. Therefore, he IS stuck in it, and the only way he could unstuck himself is if he disobeyed the time limit again and that would get him stuck in whatever new form he chose, AND lose his power to morph AGAIN.
Um, actually, Tobias regains the ability to morph from Ellimist later on in the series, and is also sent back in time briefly to re-acquire his human form as a morph.
I was lucky enough to meet K. A. Applegate this year and got my first and last Animorphs book signed. When I told her that these books were a major part of my childhood growing up, she told me to stop talking because i was making her feel old.
I forget which andalite it was, but in one of the books, one of them mused fondly of how distracting female andalite butts were and how he was failing a class because of how easily distracted he was. I'm not sure why I'm bringing this up.
Um actually, Siobahn was technically correct in the Animorphs question. After becoming trapped in the body of a hawk, Tobias was granted the ability to morph again by the Ellimist, an omnipotent being.

There comes a point where everyone who talks about time machines invents the remote from click
Hermiony wasn’t given a time turner by Dumbledore, but by McGonagal.
I used to think I was too old for Animorphs too… revisiting the series 15 years later, I feel like only as an adult I’ve been able to appreciate all of the themes of trauma, moral complexity and the horrors of war. Seriously, Animorphs goes HARD. It’s like The Hunger Games on steroids
I knew the one about Animorphs even though I've never read any of the books or even seen one in my life, thanks to To the Moon
Ahh I’m so happy there was an animorphs questiom!
Don't forget LL Cool J's Deepest Bluest off the Deep Blue Sea soundtrack.
My hat is like a shark's fin.
That whole discussion on timetravel is the exact plot of the, not so great, movie "Click" starring Adam Sandler...
@1:29 UM ACTUALLY Dumbledore didn’t give them the time turner; McGonagall gives it to only Hermione.
