I was already using the api 2500 in console on my bass buss and tried to add the side chain from the kick drum. Yes, the side chain works, but, the whole sound of the bass itself changed. It's like the side chain 2500 removes the previous 2500 I had on the bass. Is there a way to keep the settings I had for my bas buss and add a side chain from the kick but without affecting the already set settings on the bass? Does that make sense? I hope I didn't mix my ideas and made it too complicated
The example with Api Vision isn't so much good because this compressor compensates for the loss of gain.

Group mixing and editing is a fantastic feature. There’s some minor things I’d love them to add to make editing easier but overall love the experience as well.
@@MusicByDarcy yeah. And sometimes the Luna api vision seems to lack a bit. Sometimes nothings happens when I tweek the nobs. But all in all it’s such great thing to have a huge analog studio in my homestudio. And the Luna integrated plugs like Api, Ampex, and Neve doesn’t infect the dsp. Big plus in my opinion. But api is sooo expensive. Still figuring out if I really need it. It’s so difficult not to adjust 1000 small steps all the time hahahaha
@@conrow1157 make sure you are engaging each of the modules are you use them. Besides the preamp the rest has a toggle on/off button which does not auto-turn on when you adjust any settings.

@@conrow1157 just want to make sure those details missed incase it was blocking you. API preamps are so subtle until pushed very hard. I like the tools for how transparent they are, very good and quick to use and leave lots of room for other plugins as needed.
I want to see SSL next but Neve makes most sense to round out the Neve Summing.
