I feel like the Free v sSak game was a lot closer than they give credit for. Up until that failed push on 9 oclock I thought sSak still had a fighting chance. If he has goliaths/vultures up to defend his siege tanks from the drop he kills that base and maybe pulls ahead.
Love seeing new faces in RO16, but BO1 just feels weak for RO24, beauty of pro SC is in prep and here I feel like some people could die, but its time proven so its not the biggest issue
@@dal1371 Yes it's BW. Unfortunately it doesn't run anymore but I believe there were 4 seasons which I'm sure you can still find. I don't remember the exact format but I'm fairly certain there were no best of ones, even in the ro24.
ASL has tried different formats in the past seasons. Not sure why they went with pure Bo1 this time. I agree that it introduces a lot more chaos and upsets.
a few moments ago I finished watching day 1 of the ASL ro. 24 wondering when day 2 would be uploaded. I started to watch Mini vs. Queen from last seasons semi when I saw this vid posted 53 minutes ago wondering if this was this current season when I saw it was I clicked didn't hesitate to start watching. On that note, I do appreciate the fact ASL uses multi-digit numbers makes it easier to identify the specific season.
I remember Boxer destroying his ComSat, building a Nuke Silo instead, hiding it under a floating EBay to protect it from being scouted and proceeded to drop a Ghost in opponent's main EMP'd and nuked the Nexus for the win.

Lol, such a random non-sequitur. There's been one Berserk release since Miura died, of an issue that was mostly written and illustrated before his passing. His assistants have vaguely indicated that there may be another release in December. That'd likely be the last, since he probably didn't work that far ahead of his publication schedule.
SPOILER Free is such a frustrating player to watch. In the game vs ssak, there is no reason that bottom base was not taken. Ssak threw away tanks without vulture support. That is the time to secure your eco and tech. If that last attack didn't kill the base, he would mine out and lose.
There's 3 things you can increase: army, tech, or economy. If he says powering, it means only increasing army and tech. He probably also means they won't be looking to attack soon either. So a Terran for example might secure a third base and then power up on just those three bases and launch a strong attack.
Best is a solid protoss, it's just a sad fact that protoss is extremely underutilized since their top strategies require an insane amount of micro and unit preservation that the other races simply don't have to deal with. Only Rain was a protoss that could reasonably take on anything, but even he 'failed' sometimes. Best at his peak could size up against flash in a macro game, so I don't know what you're talking about. He's a great player, just not very tricky like these other pros.

It means they are "powering up". The idea is that they are forgoing further growth in order to increase the power of their standing army.
