The Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory, Inc. was founded in 1921 in Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture, and is the origin of the Otsuka Group. It is perhaps unusual for a company to have the word “factory” in its name. This is a company name that has been carefully carried on with pride as the originator of the Otsuka Group since the company changed its name to “Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory” in 1940.
The company's well-known products include OS-1 (oral rehydration solution) and Oronoin H ointment, both of which are familiar from TV commercials. After more than 70 years of involvement in the intravenous solution (IV) business, the company is a leading company with a majority share of the IV solution market in Japan. The company is also actively engaged in research and development in new fields, and is engaged in a wide range of business activities in Japan and overseas, aiming to deliver better and more innovative products to patients and healthcare professionals around the world.

請け負っていますが値段は安いがまずいので利用する人が段々減って来て最後は閑古鳥が鳴いている様な状態になるのが多い。
