I had my first 1200 bandit for a few days, wasn't used to the size and weight, stalled it and it took me down faster than a 14 stone boxer. Broke my collar bone. But went on to pass my advanced rider training on it. 17 years later, I just bought another one. Wiser and smarter.

I've been riding since 1980 when I passed my test on a Honda CB250N Superdream. I have carried on riding since then. I'm also a former MDP police bike cop (18 years riding in the MDP SEG). We have ALL had silly things like this happen so don't beat yourself up. How about dropping a fully liveried police Honda ST1300 at the side of the road whilst trying to tear off your Goldtop boot with a wasp stinging multiple times inside ! 😉..... I kept it a secret and lied about the minor damage. Even Class 1 pursuit police riders occasionally make mistakes don't believe anyone that says otherwise.
What lovely guy that was who helped you. Outstanding.
    Subscribed.

The classic drop while the handlebar is in full lock. Happened to me too. Wanted to turn right, handlebar full lock and I stalled the bike because I forgot to shift down... haha

I dropped my bandit while in a parking space. I hadn’t realised the kickstand was up. I went down with it and head butted my neighbours BMW on the way.

Just after a month of buying, dropped my k4 while duck walking in my driveway with engine off. Side stand had moved back and when I put it sideways it just pushed my leg went further down. Since there was wall on left the handlebar hit and slowed the fall. However after getting to the floor clutch lever end broke like your brake lever. Yeah the weight is a concerning part when its stationary.

The downside of panniers/top box stuffed full of accessories etc etc is they make the bike top heavy…
I’ve always stuck with if it won’t fit in a reasonable sized rucksack then it doesn’t belong on a bike…

So easy to do. Anyone who hasn't, will at some point. Trick is not to make a habit of it. ;-)

Not to be rude, if you can't lift the bike you need to get a smaller lighter bike or learn the proper technique to lift it. It is not hard when you learn.
