I can’t remember who it was, but a NBA Hall of Fame player was asked who he would rather guard, Michael Jordan or Larry Bird. Without hesitation he said Michael Jordan. The interviewer seemed a little surprised and asked why, the player said “Michael make you look slow, Bird make you look stupid!” I have seen Clark make many defenders fall on their butts trying guard her! How quickly she can change direction, speed up or come to a sudden stop, keeps her defenders always guessing. She is just so much fun to watch!
I remember a time when 2 jump out to defend Derrick and he splits them and some how goes through the other 3 to make a reverse layup. Caitlin goes thru people like a hot knife thru butter and that reverse layup is regular in her bag
For me the passes are amazing she puts the ball in front of the player so the forward motion of the player isn’t stopped when they’re running, in traffic she is able to put it right in their hands, I love watching her play.
5:53 mark of your video says it all. All FIVE opponents converge on Caitlin in the paint leaving all 4 of Caitlin's teammates wide open beyond the 3 point line. Caitlin kicks it back to Katie Lou who pops an easy 3.
