Great times, great memories and great entertainment. I will say I miss being a young kid or teenager back in the '80s. All the Christmas programs were wonderful to watch back then and now today they don't even show them, well a few but not a lot.
I remember watching this as a young kid also I loved it as well. It's Christmas Day 2017 and I thought they would actually play this. But apparently not. I noticed over the years things have changed and they don't play these old time classic Christmas cartoons or TV shows like do used to. It's a shame.
It's a shame--ABC Family (before it was Freeform) used to show a lot of the older and lesser-known specials during their "25 Days Of Christmas". (This, I think, was among them, as was Raymond Briggs' "The Snowman".) But these days, although they do show many of the better-known Rankin-Bass shows, they seem to concentrate on the same handful of stuff being shown over and over again, instead of a few more unusual blasts from the past.
This was the best day ever! I was looking for a grinch t-shirt at Walmart...didn't find one, but I ran into a guy dressed in a grinch costume downtown and took a selfie with him...I'm a big kid....I FUCKING LOVE THE GRINCH HE WAS JUST MISUNDERSTOOD AND NEEDED A HUG.

Thanks for posting this classic, Susan! Precious memories do unfold while watching this. A lot of children these days no nothing about the original Fat Albert. There was always an important moral & life lesson in each story. Doesn't matter what year this movie was made because its valuable message of loyalty, friendship, compassion & goodwill toward mankind will stand the test of time. Thank You, Father God, for sending us Your only begotten Son. He is truly the greatest gift of all. Had He not been born, there would be no Christmas. Merry Christmas, everyone!

It's 2023 and I'm just finding this. I lost my dad in 2019 my mom in 2022, my father in law in 2021, and my best friend died three weeks after my mom. My only brother died in October 2022. I'm trying to find some way to put myself in the mood. These 70's cartoons I grew up watching with my parents and the ones we watched when our kids were growing up. I lovingly celebrate our Saviors birth and my faith is strong. I still have the sense of sadness knowing another holiday will be celebrated without them.

@Greg Hallanan There wasn't much evidence given about that, though. It's completely possible that those women gave consent to that. Personally, I feel that poor Bill is a victim of outrage culture and that substantial evidence is necessary in order to put someone in jail.

Wow you can tell the animation is a little different here than the usual Fat Albert episode of the time. It's better actually. Guess they went the extra mile for xmas. Well done. I enjoy these classic episodes despite of what Mr. Cosby has done or is being accused of. I appreciate the art and the many folks who worked hard to make it happen.
When I was a little girl, I loved watching old Christmas cartoons to get me in the spirit🎄🎄🎄. I love the 70s vibe💜. I love the women's tiny afros✊. I love the fact everybody goes to fat Albert for everything. LOL💜💛💚💙

Seems like Freeform's 25 days of Christmas has gotten worse the last few years. Thank God for AMC. They're showing the Rankin Bass stuff this year.
Heck they played Roudolf and Santa at Thanksgiving that way we are forced to watch the new tv programs.

Yep both the winters of 76-77 and 77-78 had a lot of snow as I remember in New England. Some said an ice age was coming.
