Thanks for the inspiring video, friend. Three years ago at age 59, I developed Afib, and wound up in urgent care with a pulse of 180-200 bpm. No blockages were found, but was a result of an unhealthy lifestyle, no exercise, bad food choices, too much beer, and not enough sleep. The cardiac Dr recommended exercise, a healthy diet, more sleep, and no alcohol. I followed his advice religiously, and began cycling almost every day on my Trek MTB, even in our cold Minnesota winter climate. I made a New Year's resolution to bike 1000 miles for 2023, (beginning with a 16-mile ride on Jan 1 )and easily surpassed my goal by mid-July. It's a satisfying obsession to ride everyday, regardless of the weather or temp. For my 62nd birthday I bought a new bike, and more cold-weather gear. Now at almost 2000 miles, I've lost 25 lbs, I'm heart healthy and never felt better. Watching your 100-mile ride gave me great joy and inspiration to keep going. Thank you, and keep on biking!
Hi there and thanks for sharing you inspiring story. It takes courage to completely change old habits. Keep on pedaling! Thanks for your story. All the best, Steve
Loved the video! I'm in my 50's, horribly out of shape, but I bought a new bicycle last month and have worked up to riding 10 miles every day. I've put a total of 320 miles on it already! One day at a time! Thanks for the inspiring video.
Hi there and thanks for watching and the nice comment! Good to see you are getting good use of your new bike. One day at a time indeed. take care Steve
My wife and I bought cheap mountain bikes when I was fifty and we were both overweight smokers. Round the park became day rides became long weekends became every holiday touring New Zealand ( we are Australian) with panniers. When we retired we took our bikes to Europe for a few weeks every year and toured a different country each time. Sold our house in Australia, moved to France then Switzerland. Now age 78 and cycle in the mountains just about every day except in the snow season when we hike or ski. We have had a long and fantastic retirement mainly due to cycling, wishing you the same.
That ride was beautiful, Steve. Thanks for taking us along. I had forgotten how gorgeous New England is. I started cycling again in 2019, at the age of 56. I turned 60 this past April and did a metric century to celebrate the day. I also did a 72-miler this year. I’m looking to do a 100-mile ride next season. During the spring and summer, I get up at 5am and ride 10 or 12 miles before getting ready for work. On the weekends I average 35-50 miles a ride.
Hi there and thanks for watching and the nice comment! Sound like you are really putting down the miles. Good job! Keep pedaling and have a great day, Steve
Thanks Steve. 71 living in the UK. I had to give up running post covid due to a metatarsal problem on my left foot. I had a bike that had sat in the shed for over 20 years so I decided to start riding. I love it as it has taken me to places on largely trails into nature surroundings on the National Cycle Network. In two years I have cycled many thousands of miles ( just shy of 4000 last year) on my mountain bike including my first coast to coast this year of 258 miles over 4 days, my first 100 miler in a day recently, and my training rides of 3 x 40 miles per week. I often rack up more mileage than this weekly. I have joined a club and ride with good people who are improving me and my body/health is fantastic imho. The benefits are great. Can't ask for more 👍😊
use it or loose it. Several years back I was riding in Adams MA and met another cyclist on the rail trail. He asked me "how old do you think I am?" I guessed 65 and he responded "I'm 85". He rode the 35-40 miles 3 times a week and said "the secret is use it or loose it". Keep on riding!
i there and thanks for watching and the comment. Very inspiring story. I always say "if we stop moving, pretty soon we will stop moving". Thanks, Steve
Hi Steve I really like your videos I am 72 and still riding my bike your cycle trails are fantastic in England we do not have cycle trails like that . I always look forward to the next one keep them coming thank you David bolton England no excuses😊
Well done, dear bro'. I'm 77 and still working up the nerve to get back in the saddle. After a lifetime of bikes and motorbikes, I miss it. Warm wishes across the pond.
You are a better man than me. My knees won't carry me that far on a regular bike, but I just bought an Aventon Pace 500 ebike in mid-August and have been doing 50 plus mile rides here in Ohio and have ridden almost 900 miles in 2.5 months. Ohio has an extensive trail network that interconnects multiple trails in Xenia, OH where I can alternated my ride however I want. The ebike has opened a whole new bike riding chapter for me. Since the bike itself can only achieve perhaps 60 miles with pedal assist, I find I'm still getting a great workout as I have extended my rides as far as 105 miles by feathering the assist on and off. I only hope that I can still be riding when I'm 70 and beyond (currently 67). I'm hoping that I can stay healthy and attempt the Ohio-To-Erie Bike Trail next year at 326 miles. Keep on riding!!
Thank you for your motivation. I am a 63 yr old recovering alcoholic, been cycling since the age of 18. Cycling is a huge part of my recovery. I did 50 mi. yesterday. My goal is 100 miles, soon. Again, thank you...
Steve, although all your videos are incredibly inspiring, this one is particularly so to me. As a 70 year old cyclist just getting back to riding over the past 2 years, I've started becoming discouraged over how slow my progress has been. I guess I just remember my youth and how I used to ride forever without getting tired. My goal is to ride from Plymouth, MA to Provincetown, MA (~80 miles), but so far the longest I've been able to ride is 40 miles. Your 100 mile ride gives me hope that I'll eventually be able to reach my goal and that age is no barrier!
Hi Steve and thanks for sharing your riding and future plans. The way I can still ride long distances is slow and steady. High cadence in lower gears. No strain on the knees. That gets it done for me. You can do it. Take care, Steve
I am 63 and could not ride my ebike that far. I am working on it at 10 miles my leg feel like rubber. thank you for sharing and inspiring us younger folks.
A younger brother from another mother! Did my century last June on the back roads of Kansas. And, why? It was my birthday and I could. Keep it up and enjoy!
Good video Steve. Last year at the age of 73, I completed a tour I had been dreaming of for several years. I rode with at tour group from LA to Boston. People would tell me I was crazy, and ask why would it do that?. I had made a commitment about ten years back to get more active. I did that and as I got stronger, I found I could do more than I had expected. So, when people tell me "Oh, I could never do that." I reply, "Well, if you set your mind to it, you may be surprised what you can do." At the end of the tour, the director told me that I had been an inspiration to the young riders. I had never thought of myself in that way. You are an inspiration, too. Keep riding and keep vlogging.
Hi Phil and thanks for sharing. I really appreciate your comment. Your trip across America must have been grand! It proves that we are capable of more than we think. Very inspirational! Looking forward to the next 10 years. Thanks again and have a great day, Steve
Bravo! I love your philosophy “I might not get back before it gets dark… but who cares? I don’t have an agenda… I don’t have a schedule… I’m just out here having fun.” Retirement is such a blessing! Just got back on a bike a month ago after many years away. I’m not an athlete, but bikes are different. It’s meditation on two wheels. Thanks also for the video - I used to live not too far from Westfield, MA - nice to see early autumn there again. 👍
Hi Lance and thank you for your comment! I appreciate it. Good to see you are back on a bike. "meditation on two wheels", well said. Hope you are having a great weekend. All the best, Steve
Well done, I am a fellow 70 year old cyclist and I also go regularly for 100 mile rides and my maximum is 205 km in a (long) day of which we have a few off in June here in scotland with sunset at 11pm. But I won't start at 4:30, that is just too early for me as I am a late person. So I ride from 8am to 11pm. I need to be back before sunset otherwise my wife will curtail my freedom to roam the wee and beautiful roads we have here in Scotland.
Hi Robert and thanks for the nice comment! 11pm sunset must be great. I hope to visit your wonderful country in 2025. You certainly are an active cyclist. Good for you! Thanks again and all the best, Steve
Congrats on your accomplishment. I'm turning 72 in November. I love touring. I still love it. I am planning some multiple day tour on the Ohio to Erie Trail for 2023. Maybe try to get in a 100 mile ride?
Hi Tom and thanks for watching and the comment! You will really enjoy the Erie Canal trail. Sounds like an awesome trip. Thanks again and all the best, Steve
Why would a 70 year old man ride 100 miles? Because I can! Well done. I only ride a 14km track every second day because we don't have the infrastructure for long range biking here in Hervey Bay, Queensland. However I feel fortunate, relatively healthy for 77 and mostly because I enjoy the ride saying hello to other users along the way. Keep on riding and posting enjoyable videos; thank you. Mike in Oz
Very proud of you. I'm 72 and I love my bike. The most I have gone is 30 miles. My pedal came off after ride, pulling into my garage. I had to buy a new crank and pedal. It was a lucky day for me.
you sound like my late grandpa never giveup hi from Maryland i am 67 i did started late riding my bike but now i keep riding thank you for you video its a inspiration 😍
Hi Malcolm and thank you for watching and the comment! And yes, I am very fortunate to live in a very picturesque area of New England. I appreciate your taking the time to write. Thank you and stay healthy, Steve
This is a great inspirational video Steve. Nicely done. I restarted riding at 70. I’m a year and a half in now. I don’t do centuries but I do ride alternating daily rides of 30 to 60 Kms. And through in that I need to pick up small items at the store I ride there to achieve the errand. I ride most days in winter, save for inclement weather. I use Schwalbe spiked tires in winter when road conditions are wet. I have a group ride once a week, which introduces a great social element to riding. One group is a three season riding group and we ride about 35 Kms at an pace of around 25 kph (15 mph). The other group is a Winter Warriors group that rides every Saturday morning no matter the weather. Pacing is variable based on conditions. There’s no bad weather, just improper clothing. 😂 I love the group rides. They’re a great way to meet new friends.
Great performance. I'm in my 60s and I have Parkinson's. Walking is hard but on my bike I feel free as a bird. I did my century last year. It slows down the progression along with HIT.
Holy crap, a 70 year old dude rides the century. Well done. Old Man Tough! Me I'm 66 and I walk my dog daily, spring, fall, winter or summer. Over 1,100 miles a year, most wearing a 25 pound backpack. Trying to maintain my Old Man Tough.
Hi Phil and thanks for watching and the great comment! I like it. "Old Man Tough" has a special ring to it. It sums up what an older man is capable of when he takes care of what really matters.... Himself and those around him. Thanks and remain awesome, always... Steve
That's some super nice cycling infrastructure you've got there. I'm a little surprised not to see more folks out there with you. Keep it up whipper snapper, from a 73 yr old cyclist : -)
Hi there and thanks for watching. It was a quiet day out there. Usually more cyclists on the weekends. That another plus of retirement. Riding during the week. Thanks again and all the best, Steve
Wohooo....Steve you just "ROCK". That's awsome you still love Bicycle Riding and making it happen. Southwest Germany waves a Hand at you. Happy Thursday & always have a safely Ride 💯🙏🍀🛡👌🙋♂
Hi there and thanks for watching and the nice comment. Great to hear from you in Southwest Germany. Love your country, the wonderful scenery, history, bakeries and the Schweinshaxe. I haven't visited in many years but hope to return soon. Thanks again and all the best, Steve
Hi Steve, thought I let you and your followers know about my ride on July 14th, 2018. At that time I was 71 yrs old on my way to Portland, Oregon from Seattle, Washington on what is commonly referred to as the STP. This is a 206 mile ride over one or two days depending on your choice. I completed this ride in the one day option with a ride time of 12 1/2 hrs and averaged 16.8 mph. Total ride time just over 16 hrs. which included 4 major supported rest stops. I would just like to shout out to all of us seniors who completed this ride in one day and say that senior riders just rock. We have the Cascade Bike Club here in Seattle that provide rides for people of all ages and abilities to ride in group rides free of charge all year long. They also culture a life style that is healthful but more importantly safe and fun that many many seniors in the Seattle area participate in. BTW I am still riding at 77 yrs old and on my regular routes of 30+ miles but on an independent basis.
Hi Steve and thank you for sharing your experience. It shows that we seniors can set a good example for others. You are a great inspiration and show that age is not a barrier to those that pay attention to their health. Determination and being blessed with good genes are a plus. Keep up the good work! Thanks again and all the best, Steve
If I had 100 miles of traffic free cycle tracks like that, I'd be riding all the time. However, I have to share the roads where I live with cars, vans and lorries doing 60mph passing me within touching distance. I'm within a few months of 70 and do try and cycle where and when I can, but I am very envious of this chap and his traffic free route.
Nice ride. I'm always encouraged to see fellow septuagenarians staying in shape and enjoying that good health. I'm 72, still riding mtb trails and working out. You're blessed. Keep it up. 👍
Hi Mike and thanks for the nice comment. I'm also inspired by people such as yourself that live their lives knowing the importance of staying active. Thanks again and all the best, Steve
Great job! I did my first 100 miler 2 years ago. I was 63 years old. It took me 7 hours and 45 minutes of actual riding time. This inspired me to do it again!! Thanks!!
That was a beautiful ride. I'm 73, live in England and my favourite thing is riding my bike through the countryside. Long may you continue enjoying your bikes and thanks for sharing this ride with us
So I got this neighbor when he sees me he says when are you going to grow up because it usually sees me going somewhere on my bike to the store or for a ride he plays golf that's his main thing and there's nothing wrong with that. I am 70 myself and it makes me feel young I think one of the worst things somebody could do is just sit around and do nothing when they are able bodied. You are an inspiration😂
Fantastic ride sir. I’m in England, aged 64 and, like you, I love to ride my bike. There’s no other feeling like it. Self propulsion connecting with nature and that feeling of achievement is unique, especially after a century ride. Keep going and let’s hope you and I are still doing the century rides into our nineties, perhaps with some battery assistance by then 😂.
Hi Jonathan and thanks for the encouraging comment! Totally agree. I think we know when we will need to have our batteries recharged (literally). Keep on pedaling my friend. Take care, Steve
This is great. I love to ride my bikes! I also build my bikes from the ground up and do all the repairs. I’m up to 43 miles in a ride (so far). This motivated me. Thank you.
Hi Christopher and thanks for watching! It was a great ride. Congrats on turning 70 and riding your age. It's a great way to celebrate! Take care and all the best, Steve
Great job sir! I’m 54 and have been riding most of my life. Casually. The limiting factor for me is the seat! My butt can’t handle it! Any comments? Also, I may not be 70 yet but my bike is! I ride a 1953 Schwinn Traveler that I refurbished and put back on the road.
Hi Greg, unless you want to invest in a $400 dollar Infinity Bike Seat infinifybikeseat.com I recommend going to a bike shop that has the ability to do a "bike seat fitting". The fitting measures your sit bones and they will recommend the correct seat. The Infinity seat is what I use for long distance touring and is the only seat I have found that doesn't cause pain on a ride over 15 miles. Thanks for watching, Steve
Steve my friend, I just loved watching this video. I too am a 70-year-old man. I have been riding bicycles and now a tricycle my whole life. I love the fact that you have such a beautiful area to ride through. You are very fortunate. I am an avid Rail Trail rider. I have ridden most of the great rail Trails out here in the west. I'm not sure how it would be possible, but I think you and I would have a grand time riding together. Just some food for thought. Keep on keeping on my friend!😀👍
Hi Sam and thanks for sharing. Yes, I have many nice areas to cycle. The entire country offers many diverse biking experiences. I love to ride different states for their specific strengths. I'm sure we would have grand time cycling together. Thanks again and have a great day, Steve
Thanks Steve..I’m 71 and my wife 72. We cycle regularly in London U.K. mainly on cycle routes as it’s much safer..also we do the gym four times a week. The 70s are the teenage years. Thanks!
Congrats! Nice to have what looks like an almost continuous tree lined bike path. At 76 I thought I was done cycling but all the climate change talk & getting tired of driving my gas guzzling, polluting car a short distance for groceries, I decided to purchase an electric cargo bike. I applaud you for going a 100 miles! It's good clean fun plus keeps you young.
Wow Steve you are amazing and a great inspiration. I’m 61 just started back riding my bike my goal is 100 miles right now I’m at 25 but I’ll get there as you say just keep pedaling.
😎Beautiful ride and just turned70. Just started riding again with my husband, the old fashioned kind. Been watching all these while videos trying to figure out which one would be the best for our Alabama hills and Mountains. I always take my bikes with me when I go visit my niece in South Fl. If I get an shine no telling where ill wind up!😂🚲🤗
Hi Pat and thanks for watching! I'm in Melbourne FL this week visiting my son and daughter. I get to ride 10 miles every morning here. Keep on pedaling! Thanks again and all the best to you and your husband. Steve
Good ride Steve, I ride with my local club, been back riding seriously for about 7 years now-I’m 75 in 2 weeks time-the club does a 100 mile ride every year-this years was 10 days ago and was actually 128 miles. One of the guys I ride with is 80 and he did an 80 mile ride just because!
Great video Steve. I have just turned 80 and don't ride a bike but your video inspired me to consider the benefits and well-being of riding. I have just subbed your channel. All the best from Australia.
Hi Keith and thank you for watching and subscribing! Thank you for your comment. I hope you have many more years of health and consider low impact cycling in the future. All the best, Steve
My butt would explode sitting on a bicyce seat for that long (Especially at my pace of about 10 MPH). I am semi-retiring in January and will have time to do some long distance rides. My goal is to do a century ride, something have never done on my life. I think about 30 miles is the most I have ride in the past 30 years. So I will need to work up to it. And figuring out the right seat to keep the saddle sores away will need to be worked out as well. All of that said, your videos remain an inspiration for an old guy like me and a source of information about potential routes to try.
Hi William and thanks for the nice comment! Congrats on the semi-retirement. You will have a lot more time to work up to longer distances. It is hard to find the right seat. I swear by the "Infinity Bike Seat". Best most comfortable ever BUT wayyy too expensive unless you are a consistent long distance biker. Thanks again and have a great day tomorrow, Steve
I enjoyed watching your video, “ young Steve” and well done you. A hundred mile ride is no small achievement at any age. I am 72 and still riding strong, “ though not as strong as I used to “ last year I rode in a team of six in the Skoda 24 hours of Le Mans, and I was a proper team member, not a passenger. So keep turning those pedals cycling is a great sport and so good for you.
Fantastic video, loved it, was a great source of goal setting for me an old guy. I'm 67 been riding close to year now .the majority of my rides consist on hills . Haven't done a century yet. So cool finding/ viewing your video. Thanks
Congrats on finishing a century ride. That is a fantastic accomplishment; I am working my way up to my first century ride. The longest ride I have done so far is 50 miles.
Hi there and thanks for watching! Good to hear you are putting on the miles. It's like an investment in your body that gives that reward of a healthy body and clear mind. Keep on pedaling! Thanks again, Steve
I'm 27. You're 2.5 times my senior, but your enthusiasm and positivity is so uplifting. I hope to one day cycle tour America, and meet many people as wonderful as you.
100 miles! That is awesome. I'm 70 too and with 3 bikes as well and to top it off my name is Steve as well. It's been too long since I did distance like that and it's something I can do next year. The trails where you are at are really nice and not too many people.
Hi Steve and thanks for watching and the nice comment! Yes, the trails near my house are very nice and not crowded. Thanks again and all the best, Steve
Congratulations on an epic 100 mile ride I'm 74 yo and ride most days but I'm still to manage 100 miles (160 kms) You live in a nice part of the world Greetings from Thailand 🇹🇭
Its very nice to see you sporting so actively. Cycling is not only a sport but you a opportunity to be outside in nature looking feeling and enjoying. I am 66 and am cycling very regularly and everyday i enjoy from it. I wish you a lot of cycling fun, enjoyments and very healthy beautiful, days, months and years, just keeping doing the things you like the most but only one thing to care the most, its Autumn period and fallen leaves on the road are very risky now and the wet surface make it even more risky. Instead of using break, drop your speed, if it is possible. Take very good care of your self. You are really doing great and very perfect.
Hi Riaz and thanks for the nice comment. I really appreciate it. Sounds like you are enjoying your cycling. Thanks again and all the best health to you, Take care, Steve
@@steveretiredandcycling Hi Steve , you are absolutely right, i am enjoying the same way and the maximum in the nature, in the open and fresh surroundings. May God bless you always and everywhere you are. Thanks for repling, i really appriciate it very much.
Beautiful route you had there...bike paths the whole way as far as I could tell. I lived in Boston in the 1970s and rode a lot in the north-west area, concord, lexington and beyond. I'm 72 now and living in northern CA. The riding is great here with all the redwoods, vineyards, and the pacific coast. I've never been a distance rider as you are. I usually like to shoot for 40 miles with a good amount of climbing, usually around 3000 feet. Averaging 16 - 18mph is excellent! On flats I do 15 - 16mph tops. Congrats to you for your excellent achievement.
Hi Ted and thanks for watching and the comment. Sounds like you have a beautiful place to ride. My ride was 95% safe rail trails. Thanks again and have a great day, Steve
Hats off to you sir. Great ride. It's amazing that you have dedicated bike path that runs that long or can string them together for that distance. They're beautiful paths too. There's nothing like that where I am.
Thanks for sharing your 100 mile ride, great stuff. I'm 61 and had to give up my driving licence 8 years ago due to eyesight problems, living in a rural part of the UK cycling was my best option to get around. Although I owned a bike it hadn't seen much use, certainly no long rides, so back in the saddle and with encouragement from cycling friends I kept going - commuting and leisure rides. Last year I rode my first 100 mile ride. Cycling has made a huge difference to my fitness and I would recommend it to anyone. I hope that when I reach 70 I'm as fit as you are. Good luck to you - stay safe.
Hi Derek and thanks for watching and sharing. Sounds like you are determined and have benefited from your cycling! Thanks again and all the best, Steve
Thans for the inspiration!, as a 58 year old, just having resumed cycling 5 years ago after a 20 years pause (what a shame), I hope to be able to still do this in 12 years time.
69 and cycling since 2016… after I had to end my 36 years of running. I’ve been averaging 200 plus miles for several months. I have 7,000 miles so far this year… and many more miles and years to go!
Almost the same here, but no alcohol. 77 next month. Happy trails!
Do you still suffer with Afib?
Same here, a week in the hospital with afib. Only difference is I’m 75, but I’m still working at it.
Loved the video! I'm in my 50's, horribly out of shape, but I bought a new bicycle last month and have worked up to riding 10 miles every day. I've put a total of 320 miles on it already! One day at a time! Thanks for the inspiring video.

Hi Tim and thanks for watching and the comment! I agree that age is just a number, I feel much younger. Thanks again, Steve
How cool thanks for the ride

Hi Michael and thanks for the comment! The Aventon is a great ebike and still allows sufficient exercise. Thanks again and happy pedaling, Steve
Thank you for your motivation.
I am a 63 yr old recovering alcoholic, been cycling since the age of 18. Cycling is a huge part of my recovery. I did 50
mi. yesterday. My goal is 100 miles, soon. Again, thank you...
Hi Gary, keep up the good work and remember to take one day at a time. Take care, Steve
@@steveretiredandcycling Thanks for the good words Steve
👍 👍 👍 No excuses & no hesitation, go go go cycling & health comes with you!
Hi there Alfred and thanks for watching! Great comment!!! Take care, Steve
I’m 76 and still mtn biking. I listen to oldies music. It’s great fun.
I am 63 and could not ride my ebike that far. I am working on it at 10 miles my leg feel like rubber. thank you for sharing and inspiring us younger folks.
Hi David and thanks for watching! Great to hear from you and keep on pedaling! Steve
A younger brother from another mother! Did my century last June on the back roads of Kansas. And, why? It was my birthday and I could. Keep it up and enjoy!
Great attitude!! And thanks for sharing. I appreciate the comment. Have a great day, Steve
You’re an inspiration, thank you for sharing
Great job. At 70 that is great. You obviously been cycling for years. If I rode 100 miles I would be done. Love your enthusiasm. I love to bikepack.
Hi there and thanks for watching and the comment! Take care, Steve
Thank you for taking me along on you 100 mile ride, Steve. I enjoyed it very much indeed.
Hi George and thanks for watching. Have a great day, Steve
You lucky young stud. 80 yo bicyclist here who envy's you, so much, to ride in beautiful Scotland. Enjoy every turn of the pedals.
Aren't you lucky, to have someone who cares. 💚

Hi John and thanks for the nice comment. I appreciate it! Take care, Steve
Mike in Oz
Hi Mike and thanks for watching and the nice comment. Sounds like you have a good 14km ride. Keep on pedaling! Thanks again and take care, Steve
Very proud of you. I'm 72 and I love my bike. The most I have gone is 30 miles.
My pedal came off after ride, pulling into my garage. I had to buy a new crank and pedal. It was a lucky day for me.
Hi Cheryl and thanks for watching and the nice comment! Glad you didn't have a crash when your pedal came off. Thanks again and all the best, Steve
Well scheduled.
I just hit 70 and completely agree with you. Biking is so much fun.
Super guy....70 yrs young...great goal setter.😊😊

Hi Rodolfo and thanks for watching! Good to hear you are riding your bike. Have a great day, Steve
You are so amazing! ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
I really appreciate your kind words Christine! Have a great day, Steve
From another 70yr old in the original Washington (UK), thank you. The area you live in looks so beautiful and inspiring, you're a lucky man.
Hi Norm and thanks for sharing. Sounds like you have a full cycling life. Good! Thanks again and all the best, Steve
What is that that you’re wearing around your neck?
Great performance. I'm in my 60s and I have Parkinson's. Walking is hard but on my bike I feel free as a bird. I did my century last year. It slows down the progression along with HIT.
Hi Agnes, thank you so much for the comment. Good to hear that cycling is helping your condition. Keep it up! Thanks again and all the best, Steve
How wonderful to have an activity where you feel “free as a bird”! Enjoy every moment🤗

I am 60 years old; and did 60 miles here in Vermont a week ago. You are a inspiration!
Keep moving forward
If I had 100 miles of traffic free cycle tracks like that, I'd be riding all the time. However, I have to share the roads where I live with cars, vans and lorries doing 60mph passing me within touching distance. I'm within a few months of 70 and do try and cycle where and when I can, but I am very envious of this chap and his traffic free route.
76 and going strong. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks David! Keep on pedaling, Steve
Thanks!!
Hi there and thanks for sharing. I appreciate it! Steve

Hi Horacio and thanks for watching! An epic trip indeed. I wish you all the best in your upcoming adventure. Take care, Steve
Hi there Walter. I love to hear comments like yours. It's great to be 70 and really active. Keep on pedaling. Take care and all the best, Steve
You are amazing sir! You live in a beautiful town! God bless you!
Looking forward to see you cycle at 90! 😊
Hi there and thanks for watching and the nice comment. Hopefully I will be able to cycle at 90. Thanks again and all the best, Steve

Lovely stuff. I'm 61 and cycle to work everyday. I like your positivity and encouragement.
Hi David and thank you for your comment! I appreciate it. Thanks again, Steve
This is great. I love to ride my bikes! I also build my bikes from the ground up and do all the repairs. I’m up to 43 miles in a ride (so far). This motivated me. Thank you.

Nice scenery and atmosphere. If only we have that place to bike like yours im surely will go for an extra mile or more

😎Beautiful ride and just turned70. Just started riding again with my husband, the old fashioned kind.
Hi John and thanks for watching and the inspiring comment! You have a good group of riders. Thanks again, Steve
Congrats! Slow, fast, young or old 100 is never easy you just get better at it.

Hi there and thanks for watching. Yes, the bike paths near my home are very nice. Thanks again and all the best, Steve
Nice ride Steve and congrats on completing your goal.
Thank you Walter
Very inspiring. 10 mph average over a long distance is fantastic.
Thanks and have a great day, Steve
Thans for the inspiration!, as a 58 year old, just having resumed cycling 5 years ago after a 20 years pause (what a shame), I hope to be able to still do this in 12 years time.
