We have something similar. GM made a 4.2 liter 6 cylinder put in the gmc atlas and trailblazer. They also make great power, the latest testing pushed passed 830 with a stock crank, and it did nultiple pull before popping a headgasket.

Import duty into the US would of made it more expensive than a locally made V8.
Would of been the go to stuff the Turbo version in F-150 trucks.
That's convenient, no thought of duty when it comes to Mexico or Canada. 😮
The Barra I call it a RB with cubes 😅 best ford motor made in oz I got a FG xr6 turbo ute she loves the powerskids
RB motors are some of the worst inline 6 motors ever built.
Looks like a great engine. In the US, we get the crappy, weak, troublesome little 1500 ecotec Ford engine that cannot keep a head gasket long enough to make the payments.
I wonder how the blocks and heads would compare with the Barra vs the Chevy 4.2L i6.

No factory Barra had a forged crank.
Oh no, it was not overbuilt, I’m sure ford knew people would be upgrading these engines to the max
