What was the first song that introduced you to switching chords? This was mine. I played an Em in the verses instead of an E5. But it worked for me! This song also introduced me to power chords and switching strings with those chords. For the beginner - intermediate players out there!
Just turn up everything, put on a distortion pedal and jump around your room with screeching feedback pretending you’re playing at that one Paramount show (bonus points if you smash your guitar)
Really wanna see a cover of Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin from you. I've never seen anyone get the solo right but you always seem to find a way to figure them out! Great channel, have used your tabs a lot to correct my own mistakes I was making on songs.
Your guitar tone is really nice and similar to the studio version. What contributed here the most to make it sound like that? The Fender Jaguar, the amp settings or your playing style? It seems to me you don't need a humbucker, although the song sounds a bit different on my Stratocaster (single coil in the bridge).
I was looking into amp settings for Kurt Cobain turns out he was using a Fender Twin. So I used an amp modeller in Amplitube 5 max. I have all the tone settings on my patreon page if you’d like to check it out. Thanks for the kind words and for checking out the video 🤘
Hey man, long time lurker first time poster. Just wanted to say thanks for all the work you put into this channel. Awesome guitar work and a great selection of tunes Just curious if you're from NL as I saw saltwater joys, mussels in the corner, etc.... in your list of videos. Anyway all the best and please keep up the great work. Rock on!
I am from Newfoundland indeed. I used to teach lessons here locally and I would make those videos for my students. I enjoyed doing the folk stuff because some students particularly took interest in it. It's cool to instill the cultural part of music, especially teaching here at home.
I know what you mean. I didn't appreciate trad Irish/NL music much when I was younger, although I grew up with it. Now I listen to that as much as rock and metal. Anyways, all the best man. Great channel. Keep the tunes coming!
Love it! This was the song that made me pick up a guitar, way back in my teen days. I still love to play and sing along to it today. Thank you for this!
could you maybe play some scorpions stuff like Wind of change, rock you like a hurricane or still loving you etc? You dont have to play them all and not if you want to either it would just be very nice to see that and learn it for yourself

One of my favorite Nirvana songs. Love the unplugged version more than the studio
Same , that whole unplugged album of Nirvana was one of the best of the MTV series. I also liked Alice n Chains unplugged a lot.
@@mikeg.9238 same here. AIC down in the hole unplugged is amazing
@@alexc656 Agree , so is Rooster!
