What was the first song that introduced you to switching chords? This was mine. I played an Em in the verses instead of an E5. But it worked for me! This song also introduced me to power chords and switching strings with those chords. For the beginner - intermediate players out there!

I am from Newfoundland indeed. I used to teach lessons here locally and I would make those videos for my students. I enjoyed doing the folk stuff because some students particularly took interest in it. It's cool to instill the cultural part of music, especially teaching here at home.
I know what you mean. I didn't appreciate trad Irish/NL music much when I was younger, although I grew up with it. Now I listen to that as much as rock and metal. Anyways, all the best man. Great channel. Keep the tunes coming!
