The shaking and such in the dark DOES actually serve a purpose, it's basically pickeling without needing to be burped as you do with various other alcohols. It is supposed to help the flavors steep more evenly as well. You're just doing what is done whenever flavor is added to alcohols as far as that instruction goes. As far as taste goes it will vary with the vodka you use since the alcohol content varies a LOT between them 35 all the way to 95% alcohol in the case of Vodka specifically.
I’m extremely surprised the author didn’t write “I could teach you to make skooma but I’d cop a federal charge” 😂 apricot spiced vodka sounds interesting though. Thank you as always for the great video :)
letting the skooma steep was definitely an important step! my household uses fruit to make all kinds of flavored vodkas! I highly recommend pineapple :)
We all got hooked on the sauce atleast once in our lives, can't believe I let skooma come between my family and I, I'll never let it come between my viewing of MisoHungrie videos minutes after release though:)
the need for a dim place is in order to avoid sediments in the drink during the seeping process and the shaking is tu make sure all the chemicals extracted are mixed in, so you werent trolled this time lmao
My Skooma Recipe: Mango Juice Cannabis Oil Kratom Turmeric Black Pepper kratom and mango potentializes the cannabis, but the unpleasant effects are toned down by the turmeric and black pepper do NOT mix with alcohol
How delightfully illegal. I can't for the life of me understand how the Khajiit can stand to sit in a dark room for two weeks occasionally shaking the bottles of skooma until they're ready to be consumed but I've heard stranger tales about skooma addicts. I'm more inclined to bake the spice root cake myself and yours turned out absolutely picture perfect. I'll probably wait for cooler weather to make it though, it seems like the perfect dessert for a winter's day.
The skooma looks great! And love how the spiced cake turned out MisoHungrie! Looking forward when you do some more recipes from the elder scrolls cookbook! 😊❤️
technically speaking, the TES Skooma is a liquor, good for after a meal is eaten. i have made the stuff myself and while i dont partake, others have told me they greatly enjoy a little Skooma now and then...
The reason you store in a dim area and shake (non lore wise) is to help the infusion process. You dont want it to get super warm or cold so the dark helps. The shake is the cardamon and vanilla and fruits being mixed all through out the liquid. This is called making a "Cordial", yes like the cherry. You can make lots of different Cordials this way, simple syrup (sugar and water) usually a clear alchohol (vodka is common though everclear works too since the syrup and some water helps dilute it wayyyy down), add fruits, spices, ect and Ta-da! How to extend and flavor your bland tasteless liquors! Drink responsibly, and only while of legal age (legal disclaimer ya know)
For a few years now, I mix a small bottle of Skooma every year as an ingredient for cocktails inspired by Talen-Jei's cocktail recipes on New Year's Eve. I never liked it straight either, the vodka flavor is too strong for me too. xD
I think this is like a virgin skooma. Where these innkeeps just imitated the taste of a skooma cocktail mix for people who got hooked on the taste. Some skooma seems drinkable. So the alcohol is meant to substitute drinkable skooma. Some spice herbs like sage are psychoactive. But more along the line of a mildly stimulant tea than a drug. You feel their effects better if you feel uncomfortable to begin with due to nerves or indigestion rather than if you feel fine to begin with and look to get high.
I made this by grinding it with my magic bullet. It totally ruined the inside of the plastic cup. I'm sure the smell will never come out and it left a million micro dents. Mortar and pestle is the way to go for sure if using whole spices.
try mixing the "skooma" with some soda water to cut the vodka taste down. i drink a lot, but straight vodka, even flavored, can be really harsh. if you want to use it up.
of all the vodka I tried for the Skooma I made it using Svedka vodka, it was definitely worth it with the taste of a nice smooth vodka than one that is harsh, but since I don't know which vodka you used for your video I thought I would give my thoughts on it which I would actually give a 8/10 with the vodka I used personally, enough so to get a few people to drink it though the vodka can change the profile a lot depending upon how much you know, also no I don't think expensive makes drinks better, but anyways its fun to always see a good cake being made too.
Every time I play Morrowind the first thing I do when I get to Balmora is kill the Khajiit shop keep, loot his body, put his goods from his body on the floor, turn myself in and then get the goods.
Hmmm good question. Maybe try papaya, shredded coconut or chopped pineapples? I'm sure the flavor profile is gonna be much different but could be worth a try
Holy fuck it’s like the universe is spying on me. I got back into Skyrim since most the games I am playing rn are boring so I load up Skyrim And I enter this drug den full of coughing drug goes of this shit lmao
Can you make the dumplings from the fight arena story line in lost ark seeing as lost ark was just released in north america im sure it could bring in some new viewers to your channel!
I hate american cooking videos for all the cups, dashes, teaspoons and ounces. I have one scale and I weigh everything in grams. How is that not more comfortable than having a bunch of measuring cups and spoons?

I'm glad it helps! I'll be making more for sure 👍
Morrowind skooma hits different
The Skooma Absinthe looks slightly better quality than the Nuka Dark, at least in the bottle.
That wait to skip time gag really got me😂😂

Kahjit has wares if you have the coin
I watched another video that said letting it go for an extra week made a world of difference.
I don't know why, but your voice makes me want to eat some cake and drink some herbal tea for some reason...
Subscribing you because of that lol.

Yeah it's way too much for my tastebuds
Every since I found myself in the caller, I couldn't stop

Wilburgur would love this
Cardamom is used in nordic countries to spice pastries so yeah that checks out.

That's an awesome idea! I actually have some left over and I wasn't sure what I was gonna do with it. I might try this out, thanks!
Awesome
I think I'm going to make this myself but differently and without alcohol as I don't drink. But I do always play as a Khajiit so.
I LOVE SKOOMA ❤😍💖❣
Man, I really want to take a bite of that cake. Carrot cake is my favorite type of cake.
One of my favs too!
Honestly when I heard Nord Spices, thought it was going to transition into a NORD VPN sponsor
Lol, hey not a bad idea 😎
Made a whole cake and cream cheese frosting with just a rubber spatula. We need to get this guy an electric hand mixer for the greater good.
Great edit lol skyrim flashbacks
Glad you enjoyed!
A video on the foods of terraria would be pretty cool.
Says he's gold poor but has 76k gold lmao great video Miso
Lol gold poor IRL unfortunately 😂
Put the Skooma in the fridge/freezer for a while before drinking, there will be less burn from the vodka.
Good tip! I wish I had tried that

@@MisoHungrie You are welcome 😄
I tried the drink without the apricots, it was strong and after 2 shots I was drunk, but it was good
I bet that skooma wud work well tho if you mixed it with half seltzer water to cut the strength of it and make it a tasty bubbly beverage.
That sounds like a good idea! I might try that with my leftovers, thanks!
The spice cake seems to be a kind of carrot cake.
Lean-o-vision
Every time I play Morrowind the first thing I do when I get to Balmora is kill the Khajiit shop keep, loot his body, put his goods from his body on the floor, turn myself in and then get the goods.
Could we use a substitute of fruit for the carrots in the cake?
Hmmm good question. Maybe try papaya, shredded coconut or chopped pineapples? I'm sure the flavor profile is gonna be much different but could be worth a try
What I wanna know is what size bottle to mix all the ingredients in?
You shoud keep drink all that time in The darknes. That coud change flavour.
Skooma is just Catman Lean.
I wanted to get doom bone vodka but now it's getting harder to find.

Lol I got it from Nexus mods. It's called "Super Skyrim Bros" and it's pretty cool!
Moon sugar is probably analogous to cocaine.
Can you tell me where you get your moon sugar my supplier got busted
Oh yeah nwah, pass dat skooma pipe lmao. The cake looks pretty good and the skooma looks better than I expected.
I hate cream cheese and anything cheese cake wise. Any substitutions?
Hmmm, maybe regular buttercream or whipped cream frosting might work
Skooma is nothing but a 25% boost to your stamina and nothing more in Skyrim skooma is nothing
