This channel has become my favourite ASMR creator on RUclips, this is some amazing content. Showing some Carlsen games would be great if you’re looking at covering more recent games.
I like the more historical approach. We already have guys like Gotham covering the recent games, and old matches from mid XX century feel more "classy and relaxing"
I'll be honest. I've watched a lot of Asmr channels out there but I have never sat and watched one day after day repeating video after video without tiring. You are an amazing creator and I hope you never stop making content.
Wonderful video, as always. Someone mentioned they preferred having a second board on screen, but in my humble opinion it’s much better this way! Just having the big chessboard at the center is more immersive and helps focusing on the game. I personally find the second board overlay very distracting. Just my two cents ;) love your channel, keep up the good work!
Lovely video. Crazy how the light-squared bishop moved a grand total of one square during the entire game, when the game had barely begun, and yet it all always ended up coming back to him. What a beast a well placed sniper can be.
Thank you for pumping out so much content lately! I have been trying to learn more chess whilst also relaxing after work and these videos help me alot. Plz do make sure to also watch your mental health and dont go over your own boundarys when it comes to how fast you produce these videos🙂
Wholesome comment. I love how fan communities are increasingly normalizing these exact values, & especially starting to communicate like this _before_ creators end up expressing burnout. Thanks for taking initiative about participating in such a good change in the world!
@ASMR chess thx for the heart! And i wanted to say that my openings aren’t all that good, maybe you could do a video on openings sometime? Anyway thx for the sleep
I started writing this comment saying how much I appreciate the rain sounds when I hear you say “Can we take a moment to appreciate the rain sounds?” Life is beautiful.
Anand's play captivated me above all others as a young player, and your breakdown of this game was a fascinating tribute to him and the game at large. Nicely done.
I am loving all these new video! My favourite types of video from you is your chess tutorials (like the queens gambit and Sicilian). I will watch any of your videos though because they are all great!
Thoroughly enjoyed the video, but what I enjoyed the most is you taking the time to appreciate the rain. You sir are a legend. Go team Praggnanandhaa ;)
Your ability to tell a story AND cover a game keeps getting better! Only issue is I have to re-watch again in the morning because it's also really good ASMR and I'll fall asleep the first time at night.
That intro gave me goosebumps. You are an incredible storyteller. Absolutely spot on about everything you said about the legend Anand. He truly has inspired a whole country. Thank you so much for this video. Much love from India 🇮🇳 ❤️
I think you will end up with a million subscribers in the not to distant future if you keep grindin man. Amazing content and your very knowledgeable! Keep up the great work! We appreciate you :)
I love these videos! Just some feedback from this humble viewer. I like having the overview HUD of the game. Makes it easy to follow from both sides. Also ... Nice touch with the subtle rain sounds. Good stuff.
Thanks for your feedback :) I'll consider bringing back the 2d board. It is a lot more work though, but I'll see what I can do. The rain is actually not an effect - it was literally raining outside when I did the video.
Seeing all those variations this game was super fascinating and informative, not to mention it really hammers home that Chess is indeed a complicated game. Absolutely outstanding! (Also it's quite funny that the rain stopped at the end of the game. Rather poetic)
Like the greater content mr. ASMR chess (like the board but also want the side board you've done in the past). Some gentle rain or fire place in the background noise would also be amazing. This is my favorite asmr channel have listened and watched so many of the videos like more than 5 times
Normally if I want to study some chess I consult my old copy of Comprehensive Chess Openings by Estrin & Panov. Now I see if ASMR Chess has uploaded a new video. Not only much more relaxing but works better too :). Top game, top narration as always.
24 moves spanning 50 minutes sounds pretty crazy right? In the first three minutes of the video, each side played 15 moves each, leaving the remains 9 moves for each side spanning over 45 minutes. Such brilliance in so little moves
many will listen to this for the pleasent ASMR (and the lovely indoor sound of rain) but the statements between around 21:00 - 23:00 can be key to improve as chess player (havent watched past yet)
this is probably the best game of anand. even computers ( i used an engine to analyse the game ) have a hard time understanding the key moves of the game
Question, what chess board do you have in this video? I have but a novelty chess board with unrecognizable pieces, and I’m looking to get a solid chess board, and the one you use looks great!
Much prefer just this board on screen. It's a unique feature of the channel. The digital board would relegate this channel to the swaths of other chess analysis channels and cheapen the aesthetic and mood. Plus, I am extremely new to chess and have no issue understanding the game playing out on the physical board so clarity shouldn't be a consideration. Cheers for the great videos! P.s. please tab the board more like before haha, even when you do here you the mic doesn't pic it up as much :)
Didn’t even know chess came from India because of how western it is. Long time subscriber of u, pretty unique asmr with advice. Sounds like a divine scene from a movie like the Last Samurai when I listen to u. Truly phonetically fantastic ♟♟♟♟
From india around 1,500 years ago but most of us have been playing the European version of chess for over 500 years. The Europeans revolutionized Chess and made it better.Obviously the pieces were changed but that's a normal thing.I mean there are Mexican chess sets,chinese,etc...anyway here are the things that Europeans changed about chess over the centuries... 1. They are the reason a pawn can move two spaces on the first move.Indian chess a pawn could only move one space at all times 2. Europeans changed the board to a checkered board where the indian version is not checkered 3. Castling was added by the Europeans 4. The Europeans added pawn promotion to the game when a pawn reached the other side 5. Europeans added a Queen to chess and made her the most powerful piece. The indian version had no Queen but had a counselor which could only move two spaces diagonal 6. Europeans changed the Bishops' powers so it could slide the entire board,in india this piece was the Elephant with limited powers i think the Western version of Chess is definitely the most enjoyable to play.
oh and En passant was also added by the Europeans which some chess players don't know what that is,it's french for "in passing" yeah one has to admit that Europeans made chess a better game.Perhaps the game needed to be improved upon?
Hey. I'd just like to throw a suggestion for more classic games and gambits/openings/defenses. I find I think about them before bed and occasionally dream about them. Lol
34:33 If white moved there dark squares bishop to d2 and then played pawn takes bishop then I think they would be fine because the rook is cleared, but unfortunately he can’t have that extra move
@@mcdonaldseggandcheesebiscu978 even if white is allowed to play both Bd2 (bishop to d2) AND dxc5 (pawn on d takes bishop on c5) black would still be winning with Qh4 (queen to h4). black Qh4 white Bxg4 black Nxg4 white h3 black Qg3 and there is not stopping the checkmate without giving up massive amounts of material (pieces)
Greatest channel ever made.
Haha, yes!
Couldn’t agree more

This is the best channel I've come across in a long time. Bravo Sir!
Vishy really went "oh no my knight" "oh no my bishop" and "oh no my rook" all at the same time lol
Thx for these relaxing videos, i really learn a lot from them

I've watched almost all your videos this calendar year. This video's commentary / mic setting are my favorite.
50 mins its perfect, this channel has a really strong potencial keep up
Seriously the best chess video I have ever watched. What an amazing game and an amazing breakdown. Love the channel man
3 uploads within 7 days of eachother, relaxation levels this week have been off the chart

narrating while playing the game is a wonderful idea, if you feel like doing more of these it will be a pleasure watching them. great video!

Just started getting into these videos more these last few days and BAM, new upload with Vishy

But what about f5 from black, cutting of the bishops connection to the knight?
